MAIDMARIEN's SparkPeople Blog MAIDMARIEN's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Summercake So I graduated, and that was awesome.
BUT, it came with a lot of cake, and outings, and cook-outs with visiting relatives.

S'ok - got the tools I need. Mon, 3 Jun 2013 16:17:15 EST Ugh, a cold! So, this has been a crazy, crazy week, full of hectic-ness and setbacks, what with work, school, college transfer application deadlines... and now, a cold.

Luckily, I'll take this as an opportunity - to rest, load up on fruits and fluids, and just all around Spring detox. I've been doing 5 to 10 minutes stretching daily, even though I've sat out of my weekly gym workouts, and yesterday I just couldn't resist and took a salsa lesson.
I know, I know, that probably didn't help my... Thu, 21 Feb 2013 09:49:27 EST Happy Valentine's Day!!! Big candy day today, right?
Whatever.
I clocked my usual Thursday solid hour at the gym with my wonderful friend Drew - he made me lift large weights in preparation for any binge and snacking outburst; went to school and scurried back and forth across campus three, maybe four times... had to be at least a mile; packed my healthy lunchbox with leafy greens, lean meat and TONS of fruit.
After all these preparations, I was able to enjoy a few well-chosen goodies (cupcake, mmmm! Not what I consider a significant amount, and certainly not one that I thought was noticeable.

That patron made my day. I got sick, my husband got sick... and then, SURPRISE, I needed to get my wisdom teeth out RIGHT THIS INSTANT!!!
So, my tracking fell off by the wayside.

Boo hoo hoo.

OK, I'm done with that.
On the bright side, I continued my training s... Thu, 24 Jan 2013 13:19:32 EST I'm In So I blew out my knee back in Summer 2011, which means I can't sustain the level of cardio workouts that I used to. I did put in some weight during my PT, and loving cake doesn't help, either.

I do strength training for core conditioning, and also to rehab my knee, but until I regain my full range of motion (if ever) the only option left for weight loss will have to be portion control and calorie counting.

Here goes nothing.
