Wise words, I'm going to try this. Rest and meditation are even more important to keep us going when we seemingly can't spare the time to rest and rejuvenate.

Some people say that about running, too. That it's easier to become a stronger runner if you take rest days instead of over-training.

Tue, 29 Jan 2013 09:50:37 EST 10K?!? oh dear http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5226548 I registered to run a 10K! It's not until April...so I have some time to build up my endurance! As it is now I can barely run 5K. But I'll do it, even if I have to take walking breaks. Sun, 27 Jan 2013 11:27:19 EST eating at night http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5165360 One of my friends lost lot of weight before I knew her. A few months ago she told me that the thing that made the most difference for her was that she stopped eating after 7pm. This has taken me awhile to commit to, but I think she's right, and for me it's more like 8pm so far. Between work, exercise and transit, it's a real struggle for me to have my evening meal by 7 and no heavy snacks. Working on it!

Have you tried this, or noticed this helped you?
