We don’t dare dress the way we’d really like to, or avoid our favorite activities because of the burden of extra weight. We don’t feel comfortable with ourselves, and it affects so much of our lives. All of a sudden – our social circle shrinks – we find our self wearing sweats more than regular clothes – we throw our hair back in a pony tail instead of taking the time to style it. We ju... I had a blast. It was so good to see everyone. Now, I really wanted to have lost more weight before I went home, but I hadn't. I looked pretty much the same or so I thought. Almost everyone I saw raved about how good I looked. Can I tell you I ate it all up? It was so good to hear. I could've done better but I was really pulled in a lot of directions this week. I must say though, I had fun. I cooked at home almost everyday and when I did go out I still managed to eat my veggies. I can stand to step up the fruit though. I am sure I will, I normally m... Sun, 29 Mar 2009 00:55:16 EST What a difference tracking makes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1901056 This week I have made every effort to track what I am eating. I must admit it takes a lot more time and effort, but seeing it makes it worth it. I have had some good days and some bad days. Mostly good. I am finding most of the foods in the system either by Sparkpeople or by some other Sparker who added it.

I also joined the Done Girls Spring into Summer Challenge. I am a Sandcastle Sister. Hence, all of the new beach and sandcastle pics and themes. I am really excited about i... Sun, 22 Mar 2009 00:22:49 EST The Truth about what I am eating http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1879901 Okay, so as I stated last week I took a really good look at what has been going in my mouth. The revelation is one that I was not too surprised to find out, but I had to have it stare me in the face so I could do something about it.

I have found that I am all out of whack when it comes to portion and serving sizes. I am not eating enough raw foods and I am consuming too many processed foods. Convenience is lending itself to bad habits. I work all day then go workout and when I ... Sat, 14 Mar 2009 23:26:57 EST March Week One http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1859403 Hey gang, this week's installment is not so great. I only made it to the gym once this week. Ugh! It never fails, I get on a roll and life comes along and messes with my flow. I had a few things that just ruined my routine and then I was out of town yesterday and today. As a matter of fact, I just returned and here I am logging on Sparks. I am addicted. I have to log in and see how things are going and of course spin that wheel (which gave me a whopping one for today). Sunday starts a ... Sat, 7 Mar 2009 23:09:45 EST February Week 4 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1838777 As I type this heading I realize I have not been keeping up with my blogs. It is my endeavor to recap each week. I am going to do better about this. This was a very good week for me and it feels good. I have been to the gym consistantly and have really enjoyed myself.

Since I didn't update on last week I must make note that I have begun taking a Zumba class and I have also added strength training to my workouts. I went to Zumba for the first time in a long time last week and ... Sun, 1 Mar 2009 00:43:06 EST A Creed To Live By http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1818063 A Creed to Live By

Don't undermine your worth by comparing yourself to others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.

Don't set your goals by what other people deem important.
Only you know what is best for you.

Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart.
Cling to them as you would your life, for without them life is meaningless.

Don't let life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the... Sat, 21 Feb 2009 17:53:49 EST Single or Attached - Which is Better? Blog Prompt http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1787249 This blog prompt intrigued me. I actually fit in both categories right now. I am single as in not married, but I am in a long distance relationship. He is very supportive and loves to work out just like I do. When we are together we can work out with one another. One of the advantages of being single is the ability to use my time how I like. I can go to the gym whenever I want. I can eat what I want, when I want it. Even though my guy is supportive, if we were married and I had to cons... Tue, 10 Feb 2009 13:37:54 EST February Week One http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1779369 I started the week strong, but then received a phone call that my father (who has been in the hospital) was not doing well. I had to drop everything and drive to Illinois to see about him. I am still here and with spending so much time at the hospital I have not been able to work out. I am sure there are things I could have been doing but quite frankly I didn't feel like it. Dad is doing a little better and I will be going back to Nashville tomorrow. I am looking forward to getting back to... Sat, 7 Feb 2009 22:46:06 EST January Wrap Up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1758161 Boy did this month start out rough! It took me a while to get on track after the holidays. I didn't imagine it would be so hard since I actually started the holidays doing really well. But, I got off my workouts and it got easier and easier to not do anything. It wasn't until somewhere in the middle of the month that I got my butt in gear and I am so glad I did. Now I really don't feel any different right now and my clothes don't feel loose right now but I am fully aware of the benefits of... Sun, 1 Feb 2009 00:41:33 EST
