MADPADDLER's SparkPeople Blog MADPADDLER's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Close to Goal After falling off the wagon, and staying off for many months, I had an "aha" experience that turned out to be huge. The aha was two-fold: 1) I hadn't made a strong mental and emotional commitment to doing what I really needed to do to lose weight; and 2) I work best within a structured program.

Last February (2014), I was finally able to make the commitment and stop making excuses. I was at my highest weight ever and was miserable. I felt awful, my lower back - hips - knees were k... Mon, 20 May 2013 11:07:52 EST Biggest waste of time I've come to the awful conclusion that my biggest waste of time is, in fact, time wasted complaining. I've started the Spark Solution program and am on Day 3. Being a yo-yo dieter for all my adult life, and zooming from physically fit to unfit, I am now a middle-aged woman who is 60 pounds overweight and sedentary.

So, after moving to the 1200-1300 calorie plan on Monday, and getting on the elliptical machine for the first time in oh, let's say two years, my system is in shock. ...
