So, here I am to update on my experience thus far with my personal trainer. <BR> <BR> It's killing me! But I love it. We had our 3rd session yesterday and I'm sore today, but nothing like I was last week. Friday and Saturday I could hardly walk... but I know that I was so far out of shape I would have been that way with an easy workout. I can't believe it's been 2 months since my last blog! Okay... maybe I can. It's been a rough few months for me. I haven't been working out at all, the last time I ran I was in so much pain for 3 days I was in tears. It was not just your normal sore muscles, it was PAIN! I'm assuming my body is still adjusting to the change in my calcium levels since surgery. First I'm going to mention that I had an episode yesterday that is going to have me out of the game for a couple of days. I fainted. Out of no where, blood pressure plummeted and I lost consciousness for about 60 seconds. I went to the walk in clinic today and they ran some tests, I will follow up with my doc on Friday. They were sore Thursday but I pushed through a workout, mostly walking with some jogging. We are having some beautiful, unusually warm weather here in the Pacific Northwest. 64° yesterday and 60°+ today. I'm loving it! I took the pup for a run yesterday... I can't imagine a more beautiful running trail! She was so happy to be out in the sunshine... I ran faster in spurts just to watch her cute little face filled with excitement! Sadly, I am stuck inside for 11 hours today at work so I won't be able to enjoy the beauty... Last week the hubs was sick, so that threw a wrench in my plans. I also had plans with my father-in-law one day, and with the hubs home sick, we wound up out at the bar so we didn't wake him up. REGARDLESS, here is the lesson I've learned and what I'm doing to avoid such derailment in the future. <BR> <BR> I like scheduled. I can go home and run my feelings out on the treadmill. I can feel better knowing that I have my nutrition and exercise under control. I managed to get the dog out for a walk each day and on Friday I was feeling extra motivated. Our normal walk is the perimeter of our neighborhood, which is 2.25 miles. Friday we walked to the far end of the neighborhood, then I decided I'd run (ok, a slow jog) up one street, walk to the next street, run back down, walk to the next... and so on.
