I didn't eat well yesterday, but I did make sure I didn't go over my calories - I came in JUST below the top of my range. The food wasn't healthy and I didn't make good choices, but I at least made the choice to track and... Mon, 23 Nov 2015 18:09:09 EST Day 3/43 Completed Day 1/43 Completed:
0/6 days not worked out/met step goals
1/10 days over calorie range

Friday ended on a great note - I was exhausted from my workout and stayed within calorie range. Yesterday I went over my calories at the party we went to. I suspected I would, so I'm not going to stress about it. I did make it to my Barre class yesterday, it was killer. I'm sore today!

I took the dog for a short walk earlier, but my feet started to bother me. I've g... Sun, 22 Nov 2015 17:31:19 EST Day 1/43 complete I will be posting each day (or close to it) for the previous day, as I can't say I've stayed in calorie range until I've actually finished the day! 211

I did well yesterday - especially considering I had a plan for dinner but it didn't work out so I had to make a last minute decision for a different meal, and it was already 8pm. I was good and pulled out some salsa chicken from the freezer and made 2 tacos. Stayed right within range!

Today I went above an... Fri, 20 Nov 2015 20:13:52 EST Day 1/43 - Plan thru year's end I was doing some thinking last night, you know, while I couldn't sleep at all... all night... And I have come up with some goals from now until the end of the year - only 43 days!!!

Yesterday my co-worker asked me if I want to do the Turkey Burn on Thanksgiving with her at the YMCA - 90 minutes of kickboxing, core work, and INSANITY. YES! YES I DO!! So, as I lay in bed sleepless last night I was thinking that I'll get a workout in on Thanksgiving, and what days I WON'T be able... Thu, 19 Nov 2015 17:24:55 EST A week off-track Well, as my title would suggest, I was so off-track last week. Didn't make it to the gym once. Didn't watch my food intake. I'm afraid of the scale. SO, I'm not weighing in until Thanksgiving morning.

I am going to make it to the gym today. I HAVE to make it to the gym today! I don't want to because the weather sucks, and at 4:30pm it's already dark outside, but I can't skip another workout! I know I'll feel better so I just need to make it happen.

I will also sta... Mon, 16 Nov 2015 19:53:11 EST Update Wow, it's already 9 days into November and I haven't posted a blog at all this month?? Well, Hi! I'm still here. 213

So, what's happened in the last almost 2 weeks? I went to another SPOGA class, I'm really liking it and plan to be there again tomorrow. I've also done 2 Barre classes. The Saturday class is with a TOUGH instructor, I was very sore. The Friday instructor isn't as bad, I wasn't sore, so I am going to try to keep BOTH Barre classes on the schedule. ... Mon, 9 Nov 2015 20:42:43 EST SPOGA Experience Happy Friday, all! I'm actually working today, and I rarely ever work Fridays. But, being that I had yesterday off (my co-worker needed to switch days) I was able to make it to my SPOGA class! For those of you who haven't been reading my blogs, SPOGA is a class at the YMCA where the first 30 minutes is spin, next 30 minutes is yoga. I really wanted to sleep through it again, but I knew I'd regret not going.

I got there early, found the spinning room, and was ready to go! The... Fri, 30 Oct 2015 18:36:32 EST Excitement only takes you so far.... Then it actually hits you that there is a reason you hadn't been successful in the past! What am I talking about? Waking up early to exercise! I was so excited on Monday to get back to the gym and to try a new class yesterday. Well, yesterday morning rolls around and after much debate and pressing snooze, I decided to just sleep through the SPOGA class I wanted to go to. Hmph. Then I got busy running around and still told myself I'd workout at home. Never happened.

Yesterd... Wed, 28 Oct 2015 19:54:52 EST Excited for the gym!! So first, I have to admit, I have slacked ever so slightly. On Saturday I didn't workout, though I did reach by step goal. I think the only reason I met my goal was because it counts some of the movements I make when doing laundry... So slacked there, and yesterday, I didn't reach my step goal, but I did workout.

Yesterday was my first class at the YMCA. Yoga. I loved it. LOVED. IT. 414 129

I cannot wait to go get a workout in tonight. I ... Mon, 26 Oct 2015 19:58:15 EST I don't want to adult anymore So, on the plus side, I'm still getting my steps in at minimum. That means I'm at least getting out for a walk every day, if I don't workout otherwise. See? 😄 But the bad news is that we have to put our personal training on hold until after the new year. We got a big, unexpected bill from the IRS this week. I could kill our tax guy. So in order to pay that and still have Christmas without going fur... Wed, 21 Oct 2015 19:54:24 EST Staying the course Well, almost 1/2 way through the month and I'm still going strong, working out everyday! I'm losing weight and feeling good. My steps are seriously lacking today, though I do have training tonight so I'll get a some more steps in. I think I'll go a few minutes early so I can get some time on the treadmill before hand. Anyhow, just a quick update today to show that I'm sticking with it! I hope ever... Wed, 14 Oct 2015 19:31:02 EST NSV and SV!! Well, I'm so excited to report that on Friday I finally weighed in below 170lbs! I have been stuck right above 170 for weeks. I finally got through that plateau! And for my NSV, I am able to fit into an old pair of jeans! I had to buy a new pair of jeans a couple months ago because I was spilling out of my jeans and just felt gross. I'm no longer spilling out and able to comfortably wear these jeans again! It's a happy day for me!! No I just need the Seahawks to win in OT................. Sun, 11 Oct 2015 16:03:01 EST BodPod Check-in With our million dollar personal training package we decided to do, we each get 2 BodPods, which are little body composition chambers. No underwater crap or anything, but supposed to be just about as accurate.

Anyhow, we just used our 2nd ones (we will end up paying for at least 1 more at the end). We were losing steam and needed to check in and see some progress because the scale is hardly moving after 8 weeks and lots of money. So, hubs goes first. His results are read to h... Thu, 8 Oct 2015 19:53:56 EST I made goals?? Whoops, totally let my goals slip my mind this last week! I knew I mentioned something about meeting my step goal each day, and I haven't done that. Here is how my last week has gone:

-Skipped the treadmill last Wednesday.
-Went to personal training on Thursday.
-Did my tabata workout Friday morning, followed by a walk with the dog, then went to the state fair with my hubs and did a ton of walking.
-Saturday involved a ton of walking, but also a ton of drinking. W... Wed, 16 Sep 2015 19:51:21 EST 6 Personal Training Sessions In...... Well, we completed our 6th personal training session last night. It should have been our 7th, but there was a scheduling error so we didn't get a session last Tuesday. I was actually totally okay with that because I've been recovering from a pretty bad head cold. I don't know why it happens, but every time I start a new workout routine I get sick!!

We are still loving training. Now that I'm almost back to 100% better after my cold, we need to work on getting our cardio in 6 day... Wed, 9 Sep 2015 19:40:38 EST Training update I meant to blog about this time last week, but I got busy and forgot! So, here I am to update on my experience thus far with my personal trainer.

It's killing me! But I love it. We had our 3rd session yesterday and I'm sore today, but nothing like I was last week. Friday and Saturday I could hardly walk... but I know that I was so far out of shape I would have been that way with an easy workout. We got our cardio plan and nutrition plan and we are working hard to make it all ... Wed, 26 Aug 2015 19:16:24 EST I'm back... again! Hi everyone! I can't believe it's been 2 months since my last blog! Okay... maybe I can. It's been a rough few months for me. I haven't been working out at all, the last time I ran I was in so much pain for 3 days I was in tears. It was not just your normal sore muscles, it was PAIN! I'm assuming my body is still adjusting to the change in my calcium levels since surgery. But, my hubs and I are back to it, with what I'm hoping is a fool-proof plan.

We are sucking it up and p... Sun, 16 Aug 2015 17:10:52 EST Quickie - And photos of the Electric Run! I have to apologize for not updating you guys on the Electric Run! I experienced some of the worst pain in my knees and calves and have been out of sorts for a while. I get depressed when I can't run and that's kind of why I've been MIA. Anyway, I'm trying to get back and be more active on Spark!

Now, on to the photos:

<img src=" Mon, 8 Jun 2015 15:56:41 EST Successfull Streak Hi all! I really hope she enjoys it! We are making tutu's with glow sticks in them - I will try to remember to get lots of photos! Other than that, it is a pretty quiet weekend for us. I have to work Sunday and Monday anyway, so it's not a long weekend for me.

In other news I've been ... Thu, 21 May 2015 15:40:08 EST Goals tracking 5/14 Hi all! We had a wonderful weekend away, even extended it by a day! But getting back into regular life is proving quite difficult. But, I have managed to hold true to my 5k/day step streak! Hubs stayed home on Tuesday as an extra recovery day from our weekend and it totally messed me up!

5k steps every day (starting 5/5) - 9/27 244
Ride my bike 2-3 times a week (starting 5/10) - 0/3 weeks 230 I have not gotten on my bike yet. I am still going to wait to start ST, because my arm is still sensitive, and I just don't feel like straining is smart with 2 fresh incisions. How did we celebrate this news? We bought me some new running shoes! I love how they look - they make me happy!

I hope my feet adjust to them. My feet are so sensitive that it makes... Wed, 6 May 2015 20:00:45 EST Surgery Recovery Hi everyone! It has been so long - I miss you all! I did read through blogs, though I didn't comment on all of them. Seems like everyone must be pretty busy these days, the blogs were pretty quiet!

Well I had surgery 2 weeks ago today and everything went well. I am still recovering, but doing well. I am going to keep this short as my arm gets sore from typing. In this procedure I had done, I had my last remaining parathyroid (has nothing to do with the thyroid other than loca... It is a beautiful day in my neck of the woods, and I have the next 2 days off!

I am still having a tough time running... but I managed to get in 3 miles (walked 1/2 of it) the other day. I hope to do 4 miles, with 2.5 of that running, tomorrow, then if the hubs works Saturday morning I will try to get out again for 4ish miles. My 12k is coming up quick and I need to get back to my long runs after a couple of tough weeks! <... Thu, 26 Mar 2015 17:18:24 EST Health Update Well, a few of you read that I had fainted last week. An update on that: The docs don't know what it was all about. Hopefully it was just some kind of perfect storm thing that my body just couldn't deal. If not, we will find out when it happens again! 24

Otherwise, I am so far behind on my weight loss goals. It's like I do great for 1-2 weeks, then fall off the wagon for the same amount of time. I keep losing the same 5lbs over and over again. I'm just desperat... Thu, 19 Mar 2015 16:27:42 EST Warm yoga Well, after everyone asked about the warm yoga I thought I'd better give it its own blog! ...kinda... First I'm going to mention that I had an episode yesterday that is going to have me out of the game for a couple of days. I fainted. Out of no where, blood pressure plummeted and I lost consciousness for about 60 seconds. I went to the walk in clinic today and they ran some tests, I will follow up with my doc on Friday. You guys hold me accountable and I love it. Thank you! :)

I'm sitting here at work enjoying my first bean, rice and chicken frozen meal from my batch cooking. Pretty tasty! It isn't packed with veggies or anything, but it's low calorie... and besides, that's what green smoothies are for! I do need to make smaller portion sizes next time... maybe just 1/4 cup of beans, 1/4 cup rice, and 1/2 cup sh... Mon, 9 Mar 2015 21:00:53 EST Race day and being off track Wow, I didn't realize it'd been over a week since I blogged! Sun, 8 Mar 2015 16:00:01 EST One day... One day I'll get though a month with EVERY GOAL COMPLETED. This month is not that month. In fact, I haven't done my burpees/KB swings in weeks. But I'm okay with it. My race training even got scaled back because of my calf tightness issue. But I'm okay with that too. I have not lost any more weight, but I've been bad with food. I plan on getting things back on track after my race this weekend.

OH, oh! Because you guys will understand this better than most people... I was s... Mon, 9 Feb 2015 16:06:47 EST I had a million excuses... Well, I didn't find any miracle cure for my poor calves. They were sore Thursday but I pushed through a workout, mostly walking with some jogging. My most amazing husband also rubbed my calves a little bit before we went to bed, then I followed it up with 30 minutes of icing. I woke up Friday unsure of how I'd do on a long run.

I'd planned on doing a 5 mile run with the dog and coming home to do 2 miles at a 5% incline on the treadmill and 1 mile @ 2%. This way I still get the ... Sat, 7 Feb 2015 18:05:59 EST Calling all runners....... I need help!! Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope everyone is having a great day. I have a questions for all of my runner friends out there. I am having a heck of a time with my calves. They are SOOOO tight because of my increase in mileage. I have tried stretching, foam rolling, but nothing seems to work. When I squat down (think squatting like when you are at the grocery store looking at something on the bottom shelf) I feel like my calf muscles are going to rip right out of my legs. 46 ... Thu, 5 Feb 2015 14:52:57 EST Sometimes the plan doesn't work So I've started a new way of planning my workouts. As much as I love technology, I really like making hand written lists. So, I've made a simple template and have been planning out 2 weeks at a time. It looks like this:

I know that what I plan doesn't always work out, so I put the column for "actual" workouts. Like today, it was raining and cold out. Tue, 3 Feb 2015 18:10:50 EST The Seahawks weren't the only ones to mess up... Not only did my boys, my dear Seahawks, leave me depressed and distraught today, but I also messed up. I was SOOO close to my ST goals this weekend. Like, would have finished it up in 5 minutes with no problem on Saturday. So why didn't I? I was hung over. BAD. Tue, 27 Jan 2015 15:23:56 EST Just Pluggin' Along... (pictures!) Nothing interesting to post today, but want to check in. We are having some beautiful, unusually warm weather here in the Pacific Northwest. 64° yesterday and 60°+ today. I'm loving it! I took the pup for a run yesterday... I can't imagine a more beautiful running trail! She was so happy to be out in the sunshine... I ran faster in spurts just to watch her cute little face filled with excitement! Sadly, I am stuck inside for 11 hours today at work so I won't be able to enjoy the beauty... Mon, 26 Jan 2015 16:57:30 EST Still learning and improving Well, my last week (okay, 10 days) hasn't been so great. But I'm learning from it. Last week the hubs was sick, so that threw a wrench in my plans. I also had plans with my father-in-law one day, and with the hubs home sick, we wound up out at the bar so we didn't wake him up. REGARDLESS, here is the lesson I've learned and what I'm doing to avoid such derailment in the future.

I like scheduled. I can go home and run my feelings out on the treadmill. I can feel better knowing that I have my nutrition and exercise under control. But when I get REALLY stressed, I go back to my old ways and turn to food and laziness to get over my stress. It turns into a downward spiral because then I stress about my lack of control and discipline.

That is what happened this week. Sunday was a less than s... But, being that it is a new year, I am going to really make it a new start. But I'm going to approach things differently.
