Fri, 27 Sep 2013 11:12:15 EST After Dinner Walks Yesterday I added after dinner walks to my routine. I take the dogs. They really like it. Last night was so wonderful. The sky was dark and so many stars were visible. A nearby farmer must have plowed down a corn field or "knocked" some almond trees because the smell of some fresh harvest was thick and delicious in the air. And it wasn't a lawn being mowed. Wed, 25 Sep 2013 00:07:48 EST This might be TMI - just warning you I planned to run 4 miles this morning. Last night I mapped out the route. I got up at 5:00 so I would have enough time. It was dark and cold, and I was determined to do the full four miles. About 2 miles out I began to get GI cramps. For me, GI cramps means trouble ahead. I cut my run short. When I have the dogs with me, I walk and sprint. I do this to work on my speed and to burn more calories then just walking.
