Sun, 2 Dec 2012 20:08:41 EST new routine http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5128407 So ive been having trouble with my motivation to go to the gym after work since its now dark when I get off. It already feels so late that all I want to do is cuddle up in bed. So this morning I got up early and hit up the gym before work. I prefer to exercise in the mornings but getting up at 445 can be a challenge lol hopefully I can keep this up. Although going to bed by 9pm at my age feels pretty lame. I want to make morning workouts a habit before I. Start school because I know my evenin... Tue, 30 Oct 2012 15:16:22 EST Family exercise day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5097938 Went to the park with my parents and our dogs today. While they walked the dogs around to "read the doggie news" I ran around the park. It was the first time I've ran this park in a few yrs and I swear it used to seem impossible to run the whole thing but today i did it in 10 minutes...I guess its only a mile haha but it was a good warm up for some disc golf. I also have not played disc golf in a few months and before that about a year so my skills werent as "awesome" as they used to be. It w... Sat, 13 Oct 2012 20:39:00 EST feeling awesome http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5094717 yesterday i jogged around the block a couple times and really felt it. Running outside is so different than inside on a track. my lungs have a hard time getting used to it. I tried to take my dog Lola with me and shes just a lil dog so she didnt make it far before I felt like I was pushing her too hard, and she was giving me a look like what did i do to deserve this lol After I dropped her off I continued running and did pretty good, even got a honk from a passing car, which i know was some p... Thu, 11 Oct 2012 00:03:22 EST great day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5092094 Today was good. The little guy I care for and I walked to the store and rented a movie I got for free. Then I got to order of the kids menu at panda, usually all I want is child size portions but restaurants are so picky if you don't have a kid with you. Work was good and I managed to get home and get over to the gym before the call of the couch lured me in. Did some body pump and ran a mile. Finished the night with an episom salt bath and my Monday night shows. I almost don't believe today w... Tue, 9 Oct 2012 00:03:27 EST 1st 5k for a cause http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5089389 Week one of my strength training didnt go as planned. The first two days were great, but then I caught a stomach bug and bed was my after work sanctuary. Thankfully I was feeling better by Today just in time for the Walk for the Cure 5k. This was the first time I've ran a 5k outside and I felt it! It was a lot of uphill and my lungs were hurting, but knowing that cancer is a grueling battle pushed me to suck it up and keep going. I found the experience to be emotional because my great grandma... Sat, 6 Oct 2012 21:22:32 EST day 3 strength training http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5085481 Today is my off day but i think I'll still do some cardio. I did legs yesterday and it felt awesome. Ive been helping my Mom at the gym as well and trying to include her in my workouts. Its been challenging however to keep patient since she's out of shape. Hopefully I can help motivate her to pick up the pace; not that getting in and out of the gym is easy anyway with how crowded ours is. <BR> Ive been tracking my food and always been aware of what i eat but im surprised at how hard it seems ... Wed, 3 Oct 2012 16:40:07 EST day 1 of strength training http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5083240 Accomplished my first day of strength training oct 1st, and it was a bit of a disappointment. I felt a bit awkward not knowing exactly how to do the exercises properly but thankfully a fellow gym member showed me how. <BR> I ended up hitting a nerve in my elbow or something so my right arm got a better workout than my left. =( <BR> In the end i felt like i didnt get much of a workout because i wasnt covered in sweat like I'm used to after my usual cardio workouts. I jumped on the treadmill a... Tue, 2 Oct 2012 02:10:24 EST
