I didn't chart my diet or exercise most of last week. I did weigh myself everyday. I seem to be able to keep a stable weight without obsessing over what I eat.

I do have a problem. My live-in boyfriend likes to call me "fat chick". I know I'm not fat. Consciously, it doesn't bother me. But subconsciously, it keeps me from eating as much as I would otherwise. Sun, 21 Jul 2013 07:53:40 EST Diet change helps IBS http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5407893 My weight is still falling, not as fast. I changed my diet. Thu, 30 May 2013 20:02:15 EST busy day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5367717 I moved wood from the pile the truck left to neat piles for later use. Sat, 25 May 2013 16:17:55 EST Sad today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5364699 I went to a Peers' Support meeting this morning. I felt like all I could do was complain so I went for a long walk. I walked to an arts and craft store and brought myself a coloring book.

While I was walking, I thought about going to a all you can eat restaurant for lunch and pigging out since I was depressed. I thought about it. Eating too much wouldn't have helped. It would have only gave me a bellyache. I went back to the Peers' group happier. Then, I took the bus home ... I have Internet here. I don't know how often I'll log into Sparks, but I try to keep in touch. I hope my weight didn't go up with all the eating on the run. Sun, 12 May 2013 17:32:16 EST moving http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5347448 I got boxes today and rented a UHaul. I'll be moving Friday. Mon, 6 May 2013 13:23:34 EST Cheat day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5345570 It isn't really since I don't do cheat days. I eat what I want each day. I ate a lot of junk type food today. I needed it. Yesterday, I realized that going gluten free wasn't for me. It wasn't helping my IBS. I was so badly constipated that I was in pain for three hours last night. I took a couple laxatives which made the pain stop and I had a movement in the morning.

Today, I ate a lot of wheat. I also did some chicken without any problem. I bought a new cookbook. He's into power lifting. I think just steady state running isn't the best exercise, but if that's what you like you should do it. Runnings is a great exercise for people that like it. I think that one should do a variety of exercise to get the most benefit. Most marathoners vary their routine. They do short runs, long runs, sprints, weight train, etc. I try to vary my routine.

I think varying one's routine helps with fighting ... Three are size one and one is a size zero. I bought them all at the same store. I still have a headache lingering from the flu. At least, I'm not having body aches and chills. My sinus was clogged so bad that I couldn't shop for perfume since I could smell anything. Oh well, I'll use the perfume I have. Tue, 30 Apr 2013 14:20:47 EST Looking for IBS triggers http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5336131 I'm starting an elimination diet to find my IBS triggers. I staying away from beans, soy, gluten containing grains, dairy, eggs, shellfish, most nuts and seeds, and most processed foods. Fri, 26 Apr 2013 09:08:04 EST No gluten http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5331438 I'm going to try to eliminate gluten from my diet for the next few days and see if it makes a difference with my stomach issues. I fear gluten is in a lot of things that I eat so it might be hard to find all the sources of it. Still, if I make an effort to locate most of them and I feel better, it will be a big step. This will make it harder to get enough calories unless I eat a lot of rice. Mon, 22 Apr 2013 08:49:58 EST dating and needing to be thin http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5330306 I reentered the dating market. I noticed that men clearly don't want a woman that is overweight, obese or has the slightest amount of extra body fat. They want a woman in the lower half of the normal range or even underweight. It's more than fitness. A woman needs certain dimensions to attract a man. It would benefit me to have a smaller waist since I'm apple shaped. I might blame genetics for my large waist/hip ratio since both my parents carry their extra weight in their abdomen. Howe... It's a vegan diet with lots of fruit, vegetables and beans. I like that the number on the scale is falling, but I know I shouldn't. I've bought more clothes at this size than another size on the way down. A size 2 is rather small and hard enough to find. Size 0 would be harder to find, but it's not about clothing size.

Anyway, my BMI is fine. I feel great. I need to find a way to maintain my weight and keep away from... Tue, 16 Apr 2013 10:20:59 EST Sad http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5325008 I'm a bit sad and overwhelmed by the events in Boston yesterday. I took the bus to Boston to visit a friend yesterday afternoon. I arrived after the explosion. I knew little about what happened. I saw police standing outside the train stations. The streets were quieter than usual. It was almost eerie. When I got home late last night, I read the news. It's shocking. I feel numb inside. My stomach is in knots.

I hope to go to the gym later today and work out these feelings... Sun, 14 Apr 2013 08:03:36 EST Different scale http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5321789 I'm using a different scale so my weight dropped. It dropped on the scale at the gym a bit as well. The gym scale was 118, but my new home scale is 115. It's one of the old fashion types so I can only do pounds, not parts of a pound on it. I don't know if I want to go with the gym scale or my home scale. The gym scale might be better since it's digital and I can track my weight down to the tenth of a pound. Either way, I'll no longer be using my landlord's scale since I have my own bath... Sat, 13 Apr 2013 12:22:35 EST walking in rain http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5321028 I decided not to go to the gym this morning since it was foggy and dreary. Around noon, I decided that I wanted to go to the gym. It was then raining fairly hard. I found an umbrella and went. I then had to walk home while it was sheeting. I got my exercise for the day. Now, I have to do laundry since I don't like having wet clothes sit in the hamper. Oh, well. I was vegetarian for seventeen years. I quit January 2012. I tried to incorporate meat into my diet. I found out that beef didn't like me. I must have known that years ago, but have forgotten. I used to have problems with pig fat before I became vegetarian many years ago. I don't have that problem now. I can eat greasy pizza without a problem as long as it's light on the cheese. After I go to the Y today, I might go to a larger thrift store, one that I haven't visited in awhile. It's empty calories. I think since sugar is fairly tasteless easy to eat calories is why I eat so much candy. Candy is also cheap. It's a food that is easy to eat. I can eat a box of candy in very little time. It takes longer to eat a meal and that doesn't even count the time preparing it.
