I have been tempted but have not given in!

273 Got my biopsy results back and it is nothing more serious than age spots. 24 If anyone is happy to have age spots, it is me. I am glad it didn't turn out to be anything serious.

Now onto some fun stuff 40
First wo... Thu, 2 Oct 2014 19:38:41 EST Quick Update http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5789970 I am grateful that I can work from home.

Today was a good day. I've been struggling lately and it really helped being home today, where it was quiet and almost stress free.

Yesterday I had a biopsy on a "freckle" that was on my lip. I don't get the results until Thursday. I am not really worried about it. I have a few others in my mouth that the doctor says looks like familiar freckles. Anyway, the freckle was right at the corner of my mouth and required some stitches. I... Tue, 30 Sep 2014 20:00:15 EST Had a Chat with my Trainer http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5787776 I am grateful that I have a great gym at work! 33

Yesterday I met with the trainer. There is a new challenge starting next week. It's basically a self-guided challenge but once a month you meet with the gym staff to review progress. My goal for the challenge is to loss weight and gain strength. How's that for broad and vague? 40
I actually want to lose 10lbs and since the challenge goes for 6 months, I should be able to do it. The assessment was: <BR... Sat, 27 Sep 2014 08:15:50 EST Piling up those no soda days http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5787268 I am grateful that things have calmed down in my life.
This week has been pretty good overall. There were a few bumps in the road but they were small.

What’s going on?
Day 6 of no soda. We went out to dinner on Wednesday night. I met DH at the restaurant and he had already order me a soda. I told him that I wasn’t drinking it and ordered water with lemon. Did go over my calories that day with a yummy dessert but doing well the rest of the time.

This planning ... Fri, 26 Sep 2014 09:20:55 EST Streaking and Habit Forming http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5785960 I am grateful that I have the means and access to purchase and cook healthy food.

I have started listening to iTunes radio while cooking and doing chores at home. I've been listening to jazz, which gets me moving and usually increases my step count.
I've heard an ad a few times (not sure for what) but it says that it takes 21 days to develop a new habit. Well I am into day 3 of a new habit. Dare I tell you?? 20
I stopped drinking diet soda. I know that anyth... Wed, 24 Sep 2014 07:57:40 EST First Day Back at Work http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5785362 Today as I am typing this from home in my jammies, I am grateful to be able to work from home surrounded by my furry friends. 240 240

Yesterday was my first day back to work since vacation and it was a crazy one. I normally would have said stressful but I'm trying to get away from that word and better identify things.
I overslept. Ugh! Then it took me an extra 15-20 mins to get into the office.
Tried to log in and my password didn't work. Tried o... Tue, 23 Sep 2014 09:58:43 EST Starting Again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5783984 I am grateful for my DH, who listened when I talked and has come up with ways to support me without me asking. 224
I am grateful that we have great friends and family.

Okay. Each blog will start out with a few things that I'm grateful for. That's my goal for the rest of the month.

Our recent trip away was a wonderful experience. We were in a rut, just going through the motions, and now we are on a new path to do new things and expand our world!
<... Sun, 21 Sep 2014 10:09:59 EST Vacation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5782773 We had a lovely almost week in Savannah, GA. Weather mostly cooperated, although it was hot and humid the entire time. Woke up this morning at home to 37 degrees!

Savannah is made up of 21 squares with houses from different design periods: colonial, Victorian, Lots of history and ghosts (I guess) as some of the buildings are built on graves that contained the bodies of those that died from disease.
We rode the tour buses most days, getting on and off at various stops, and do... Fri, 19 Sep 2014 07:30:02 EST Wednesday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5777780 Yesterday was a pretty good day. Nothing crazy but pretty calm.

Went out to lunch (truck) with a coworker. This is an event that they have every Wednesday from July - September. I wanted to go to one truck in particular that had been on Food Truck Race on Foodnetwork a few seasons ago. Anyway, they made yummy grilled cheese sandwiches. We ate at a picnic table. It was lovely out.

Had a great workout with my trainer. He said that he underestimated me. Ha!
Had me doi... Thu, 11 Sep 2014 08:36:10 EST Recharging Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5775696 The whole weekend was pretty good. Saturday was errands and sitting by the pool.

Yesterday I didn't leave the house! Started out thinking that we'd do a few errands and decided that they could be done at another time. So.......

Worked out for over an hour. It was tough. I did some high intensity/low impact DVD workouts and then some ST. 65 minutes and lots of sweat later I was done. It felt great!

Hubby went out for a while and I then decided to straighten out... Mon, 8 Sep 2014 08:42:32 EST
