Mon, 5 Mar 2012 20:09:45 EST today I RAN I have been wanting to run for a very long time. When I've tried running outdoors I feel awkward and I tend to sprint, which means I am totally out of breath very quickly. Today I ran on the treadmill at the gym and it felt wonderful! It was 90 seconds of pure bliss! Thu, 1 Sep 2011 23:24:11 EST I walk therefore I am... About three weeks ago a co-worker and I started walking at lunch. We work in such a beautiful neighbourhood... mature trees, beautiful huge homes on breathtakingly landscaped lots, which makes the walking all the more enjoyable. We've only missed two days in the last three weeks (too hot and humid for any living breathing thing to be walking). I love the walking, but I'm also enjoying getting to know this young woman who has joined our firm. This week, we added one more person to our dail... Fri, 10 Jun 2011 23:11:15 EST slow and steady slow and steady wins the race... sounds great in theory, but in practice, slow is just well .......... slow. I want to be down 50 lbs like yesterday, I'm not a very patient person. My head knows that taking the time to build good habits and consistency is the key to success, its just that I'd like to tweak my nose and be done with it. .... sorry for the rant... its one of those days. 24 Thu, 14 Apr 2011 20:24:35 EST I feel a streak coming on.. Just finished day 4 of exercise and day 2 of eating wheat and dairy free. I'm not sure just yet, if its due to the change in diet or the regular exercise (or both), but I'm feeling SO GREAT! I mean its almost 10:00 p.m. and I feel like I could scrub three bathrooms and vacuum the entire house! I'm so excited about feeling this good! I hope it continues. 334 104 Sun, 10 Apr 2011 21:50:02 EST vegan anyone? I've been thinking lately that I could become vegan. I've never been a lover a red meat... I do love tofu and legumes, and soy.. so I think I could give this a try.

Just saying.... Thu, 7 Apr 2011 22:52:13 EST vegan anyone? Have you ever given serious thought or tried to eat vegan? I've been thinking more and more lately that its something I would like to try. I think I could give up red meat without any problem, chicken might be harder... but there are so many substitutes out there. I love tofu and soy so I really think I could do this.

Thu, 7 Apr 2011 22:47:51 EST Committed or interested.... Someone once said the difference between being committed or interested is that when your only interested you do it when its convenient, and when you're committed you accept no excuses only results... I can't remember whose quote it is, and I'm paraphrasing, but that's the gist of it. So I wake up every morning and recommit myself. Probably the same way an alcoholic would wake up each day and recommit themselves to staying sober. I'm committing myself to making good conscious choices about... Tue, 22 Mar 2011 10:40:36 EST sticking to it! Today was disappointing... stepped on the scale and I was up .5 lb. I'm eating at the bottom end of my range and exercising for 30 minutes, including 20 min of cardio daily and the scale is not reflecting this. On the other side though, my clothes do feel better and I feel "trimmer"... is the best way to describe it.
I'm not giving in to failure again... I will succeed, because I believe in myself. I believe I can be healthy and happy in a body that is not bulging everywhere. I wan... Thu, 27 Jan 2011 15:51:22 EST Fit, firm and fired up I honestly can't remember the last time I did a workout video (oops I think I just gave it away...) but when I arrived home tonight there was a package on the kitchen table... Coach Nicole has become my new best friend! I unwrapped the first dvd Fit Firm and Fired up and popped it in the dvd player. The first 10 minutes (upper body) went well, after the next 10 minutes (lower body), I'm still feeling pumped! So I crack open the Cardio Blast dvd and off I go.... I FEEL SO GREAT... tired bu... Fri, 14 Jan 2011 23:04:27 EST Vision board So I've been thinking about the whole vision board thing, and thinking its sort of silly, and probably not worth the time. But the more time I spent thinking it wasn't worthwhile, meant I was thinking about the sorts of things I would put on a vision board if I ever got around to doing one. The next thing I knew, I was looking for online photos that could possibly be part of the vision board. Now I'm really getting into this... I'm thinking about things that are important to me... family, ... Thu, 13 Jan 2011 23:25:00 EST Excited again! My first ever blog entry... I'll apologize in advance

I can't remember the last time I was excited about a "diet". Please forgive my use of the D word... I'm excited because finally I've found a plan (group) that fits my life and doesn't cost the world. The recipes I've tried are simple and amazing and feel like comfort food. The people I've met on SP have been supportive and encouraging, which in turn has me encouraging and supporting along the way. This is truly a communit... Wed, 12 Jan 2011 22:45:36 EST
