Not a real good picture but is stil very "real" if you knew the family and stress levels of the day. Tue, 21 Jun 2016 02:00:57 EST Six month mark since my spinal surgery Dec. 1, 2015 I was in surgery for eight and a half hours with one of the very best neurosurgeons trying to save my ability to walk, control own bowel and bladder function and yes, walk a 5K one day. The next morning I had no feeling or movement in Right leg and very little in Left but I began the long struggle back and today I set the date to walk that 5K for June 18 with two canes for between 1.5 and 2 hours. It will be a small group of husband, daughter and a few encouragers on the com... Mon, 18 Apr 2016 23:11:25 EST Report on Dr Visit and what is ahead Friday I saw my surgeon for 4 month post op visit for spinal fusion surgery and attempt to save feeling and mobility in legs - 8.5 hour surgery and 18 days in hospital and 2 months in-home physical therapy and gradual progress to walking with two canes on numb feet and right leg weak.
