The first run, on a nice dirt road (sandy, rocky in spots) was 7K, the bike was 28K and the last run was a 5K. <BR> The weather was perfect, very little breeze and around 58 degrees for the run portion. It was held at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. You only have to ingest ten of the little dudes in order to suffer through some of the most nasty diarrhea imaginable. In fact, this little bacterium is able to pass plasmids to other bacteria, enabling them to produce Shiga toxins which is what is happening in the most recent outbreak of E. Coli in Germany ...
