I hung 20 paperclip chain above my desk the first of the year along with 3 red ones that I had to put on the chain if I gained. It is a visual I see every day and I am down to 8 paperclips now - just 8 more pounds to reach my first goal for the year - I will be weighing below 200 pounds for the first time in over 20 years. My next goal will be to get below 180 pounds the lightest I have been in 34 years. Small steps work better for me. I am happy to say that my blood pressure is down and so is my sugar. Now I have to get to work on getting regular with my exercise. I tried to keep it accurate and if I did I wasn't over my calorie allowance by much one day and in it the other. It feels good to be able to attend a function like this and do alright with my eating. So I think I will think of a happy weight instead of where I want to be sooner or later. Each pound off makes a new happy weight!!! We had an award night tonight - we now have 5 ladies who have meet their goal and one that is only 4 pounds from her goal. Well, on to my weight loss goal, I think why I have been unsuccessful in the past was my main goal was vanity driven. Now this week I see a heart doctor for the first time as they think I have some blockage and I am on medicine for being diabetic, If I want to live longer I really need to get my weight down.
