That stubborn tummy fat just stays there! I must have a very strange body, it just does what it wants and ignores common knowledge and conventional wisdom. I am getting smaller from the edges in. It looks a bit peculiar, I must admit. But at least its less. Now if I could lose some weight too, that would be great! I have set up the 'exercise room' with my equipment and plants and I have started walking my corgi now it has cooled down and the new subdivision next door has obligingly poured a sidewalk right up to my driveway. No more goatheads! And the weather is finally cooling down a little bit, I have started walking at lunch at work. Now to the next goal, some weight loss on a weekly basis! I lost 2.5 pounds last week, trying to lose about 1.5 this week to finally GET OFF THE PLATEAU I am on. I have done a major clean-up of my diet and I am also upping my activity, more by necessity than choice as my dearest Corgi is having trouble walking because she needs to lose 30% of her weight to be at maximum for her breed! So we are walking in the evening as well as what else I do--plus the garden is going crazy, so lots of time out there. Watering, weeding, transplanting, thinni... We finished the walk in less than an hour, still had evergy to spare, and I was actually passing people this year that were 'too slow' all the way up to the end! I have never timed myself before and I always straggled in in the last bunch of walkers, pooped and ready to sit. This marks my seventh year as a survivor so it felt really good! I already know it works, and I will put it into effect in my office today and when I get home. Just put those treats we all have out of sight at the back of a cupboard, in a box, or just WHERE YOU CAN'T SEE THEM and even if you know they are there, you won't automaticlaly reach for them and pop them in your mouth. Humans are so visual! Confidentially, she has a bit of a weight issue herself. She LOVES to walk, however. And she never minds the cold or snow, but I do! Hoping after the time change I can take her out after dinner too--it won't be so dark and cold (again, she doesn't care) but I prefer walking when the sun is still up and its only jacket weather, not underwear-layers-sweater-wool coat-wool scarf-hat-gloves with glove liners weath...
