I am very excited about how well I did in October. This past week or ....almost two....I felt like my UMPH! had dwindled. But, apparently I kept that UMPH! going well enough to show some fruits of its labors at the end of the month. 244

I have been walking on my makeshift treadmill desk during my work days for about 10 weeks now. 7 of those 10 weeks... Tue, 29 Sep 2015 13:55:13 EST Living the Life, Day 25 Thank you for the support on my forgetting my little guy yesterday. Boy, things like that really shake my mother-faith, I tell ya. I've always worried that one little mistake or forgetful moment will hurt my children or one of them....beyond repair. What a horrible feeling that would be. Thankfully yesterday's forgetfulness didn't hurt him...just shook him up and caused us to get a plan in place, in case something like that happened again.

Five hour eating window was done and... Got over 8k steps on both days and stuck to my five-hour eating window too!

Found a website that talks about the five-hour eating window. Having to set a new goal, lol!"

That comment has gotten my mind working this morning. Why do I enjoy setting/reaching goals? Usually, when I set a goal that has an end and should have a reward, I don't ever give myself the reward. The reward is never really the motivating factor, for some reason.....I don't usually *believe* in the reward, to be honest.

I think my reaso... My SparkName has GOALS in it, and my SparkPage is called GOALS Aren't for Sissies. I love goals and talk about them just about every day with my kids. My husband, for years, has said, "Why do you need to set a goal? Just do it!" Well, I don't work like that....not sure why it's not that simple for me, but it's just not! I LOVE GOALS.

My favorite part on my Spark Start Page is the part that lets me set GOALS to check on every day. ... But, I wanted to be able to come here and say that I did it. My commitment has been to get 30 minutes of a workout every day, on top of whatever steps I get all day on my treadmill. Sun, 30 Aug 2015 21:00:34 EST Treadmill Desk My new SparkFriend, DAWNWATERWOMAN, asked to talk more about my treadmill desk, so here I am! 220

I have wanted a treadmill desk for a very long time, but my husband has always thought that they are ineffective because one couldn't possibly be able to type and *actually* work while walking at the same time. Sat, 29 Aug 2015 13:38:53 EST Living the Life, Day 8 Today's a nice, busy day for the family....away from school. LOVE IT. And I'm glad it's Friday. 244

Yesterday went well.....enough, I guess. Stayed on my treadmill desk for quite a long time and reached 20k steps. Between that and my lower body workout from yesterday, my legs are *feeling it*!! YAY!! Fri, 28 Aug 2015 12:52:06 EST Living the Life, Day 6 Back on my treadmill desk this morning. Yesterday, I had a few projects to get done first thing, so I sat at my real desk....and ended up staying there until about 11am. So, didn't get much walking time done. Only 7k steps or so yesterday. Today, I'm hoping for more!!

My current eating plan is combining intermittent fasting with low-to-no carb. My goal is to eat within a five-hour window, but a few days this week, I've been so busy that I've let that timeframe get a bit out of... Thu, 27 Aug 2015 12:34:34 EST Living the Life, Day 5 Well, today I'm not as "on fire" as I've been earlier in the week. Honestly, I am a little disappointed that it's only Wednesday and this week isn't going faster! 40 Can't wait for my school/work routines to get a little easier and more "routine". Then, I'll be fine with the weeks going slowly.

Yesterday, I only got to 12,000 steps or so. My daughter accidentally dropped a frozen steak on my big toe. Man, oh man, did that hurt. Sat, 22 Aug 2015 18:27:03 EST August Goals - Final Update This was a fabulous month for me.....still room for improvement, no doubt, but I am still very pleased with my progress.

August Goals:
1. Insanity - no missed workouts - didn't happen. I took a week off from work in the middle of the month to spend time with my family and thoroughly enjoyed my lazy time at home with my kids and husband. However, I did jump right back into my workouts after my time off and managed to accomplish 16 Insanity workouts for the month.

... Sat, 31 Aug 2013 18:46:56 EST June Goals - Final Update Okay! I am proud of myself and my accomplishments for June! I didn't set myself up for success on this, leaving *many* of my swings for the last two weeks of the month. Then, I ended up getting a cold on the last four days of the month and couldn't finish my 10,000. Disappointed, but now I have a new mindset for July.
3. 22 Insanit... Tue, 2 Jul 2013 00:09:56 EST Gotta love a good workout I tell ya...good workouts make it all worth it. You know the kind of workout I'm talking about? The ones that you didn't really want to do in the first place, but you committed to doing it when you were full of energy and sitting on your fanny, setting goals. The workout that makes you rethink your goals....not only do you no longer care about your goals, but now you rethink the idea that being fat and unhealthy, sitting on the couch watching reruns of Big Bang Theory, as an idea worth exp... Sat, 4 May 2013 22:29:19 EST April Goals - final entry April was a great learning month for me. I finally figured out a way to get my kettlebells done without torturing myself. I realized that it's easier for me to push myself hard during the first two weeks of the month, but struggle the third week and then finally get (mostly) back in gear the last week. I figure that if I learn my body's patterns and adjust my goals to them, that I'll probably be a bit more successful over the long haul and stop beating myself up so much.

So, for... Boy, posting my own daily blogs seems so extremely redundant. Geez. However, I have really enjoyed reading everyone else's blogs this week! Redundance aside, I'm really thinking about continuing these blogs each day throughout this challenge to keep myself accountable to what I've committed to doing. I really need to make some progress on this journey and need help with it, help with the accountability aspect, and I can't seem to find any other way of being held accountable...
