As part of the high school's physics program they asked students from Steamboat Springs and South Routt to design and build watercrafts using nothing but cardboard and duct tape. Hilarious results!

Ricky Brown, back, and teammate Eden Creech make their way across the lap pool in a craft that included surprisingly little duct tape.

<... John F. Russell caught this guilty looking fellow running away from a trash can behind Torian Plum Plaza Condos at the Steamboat Ski Area. Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers used a taser and a flare to scare the bear out from behind the dumpster and hopefully, left the bear with a bad impression of the area so it will not return.

Thu, 15 Oct 2015 13:09:59 EST Sleeping Giant and the Yampa River - 10-14-15 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6014910 I love this time of year! My favorite was a photo of a line of horses lined up at the Starbucks drive-through!

Natalie Breitung was at Butcherknife Brewery when these horses showed up for a beer! John F. Russell got this shot of an adult bear that spent several hours in a tree along the Yampa River near the Fifth Street Bridge. Parks and Wildlife Officers said the older bear was probably startled and climbed the tree for safety.
