KMCCUTE's SparkPeople Blog KMCCUTE's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Pizza made me really sick.....what I am going to do about it I spent the last week in the Eastern Med with an awesome diet of veg, fruit, meat and hummus. I returned to Germany and fell back into bad food. BUT yesterday was the worst ever. I had 4 small slivers of pizza at the local pizza buffet. I came home and pretty much passed out for two hours (thank goodness for a snow day). Apart from feeling very very fatigued, I also felt ill.

My small deduction is that I am going to try to have a Gluten free diet. I felt amazing the week I di... Wed, 13 Mar 2013 03:28:41 EST Okay....bad day is almost over, get over it Warning: I need to vent and don't have anywhere else to do it....

Woke up in a terrible sweat this morning. Not feeling well, thought I had kicked this cold. Made it half way to work and realized I forgot my access badge.... went home then back to work and the 15 minute commute took over one hour. We had a PTA breakfast and got there just as they were cleaning up the food. Now I have a sad crying least a friend saved a yogurt and book for him.

Then to w... Wed, 27 Feb 2013 15:08:12 EST Sledding is soooo much fun Went sledding on the biggest hill near our home. WOW, walking up and sledding down for 75 minutes wore me out. Especially since the last two climbs I had a 4 year old on my back.

I am so sore but it was a blast! I love non-conventional workouts.

Mon, 21 Jan 2013 13:56:26 EST Off on the right foot after a food fest day Instead of feeling guilty about my food yesterday, I am focusing on food for the rest of this week. I made the lentil veggie burgers and sent the hubby shopping for stuffed pepper goods. The burgers were different but I loved the smell in the kitchen of the garlic and carrots (I used real garlic in lieu of powdered garlic). The family was grossed out but that's okay. I was able to cut up some extra carrots for them for lunch so the healthy did seep over.

I am starting nights t... Sat, 19 Jan 2013 07:30:16 EST Bad food day but not the guilt So I ended up eating out twice today. Made okay choices, could have been better. I went 1000 calories over but it is the first splurg day since I started this over two weeks ago.

I am glad I logged the food or else I probably would have eaten more tonight....just having an eating day. I think its is because work is really stressful and they moved me to work nights...I hate staying up past 10pm so this has really mucked up my body.

BUT this too shall pass, only have to... Fri, 18 Jan 2013 14:45:57 EST Small streak OBE. :( I had a fantastic plan for my Saturday. I had two hours of yoga and Pilates planned. Our biggest loser program was hosting a de-stress day and all the classes were free. Then I had a birthday party to bring my kids to and then we had 3.5 hours of Girl Scout cookie sales. To top it off we were going to have a quite night at home.

WELL.......I got called into work at 6 am and was released an hour before selling started. Then directly afterwards we were invited to one of the girl... Sun, 13 Jan 2013 02:48:25 EST Small streak...working to make it bigger Week 2,day 2 jan fitness challenge complete, I have been a bit slacking on the cardio but have my schedule set for the next week. no excuses!

I am a bit melancholy today because the loss of my great aunt, my family left for the states this morning and I am back to work Monday. It has been amazing spending so much time with the family and my wonderful children.

The plus side is now I can get back on something that resembles a schedule. I am especially excited abou... Fri, 11 Jan 2013 14:58:34 EST Last full day with the fam First, success with week two day 1. Nice streak going! I joined my works' biggest loser campaign. They had a weekly challenge of who can do the longest plank. I don't care if I win (although with 2 min 36 sec, the winner will have to work for it) because I went with my Mom, Aunt and Son to do the weekly challenge. I just hope I motivate them to take charge of their health.

The best part was my 4 year old didn't want to leave the gym because he had to work out first. He did 1... Thu, 10 Jan 2013 17:05:16 EST Champagne Tours and Surrender Site Finished my first week of the January challenge. Didn't get to the 30 minutes of cardio due to the fact we drove 6 hours today and walked for 4. I was able to do the 15 min ab workout and I do have two planned workouts tomorrow so that should make up for it.

Went to the Taittinger Champagne house today in Reims, France. Absolutely amazing! The caverns were built by the Romans and further developed by 14th Century monks. We drove by more champagne producers than I knew existed. ... Wed, 9 Jan 2013 16:38:26 EST Touring with the family Day #6 done :) I made the family watch me do Zumba. I wished they would have joined in but they were worn out from our travels today. We walked Trier and all the cathedrals and then make a quick trip to Luxembourg to see more cathedrals and also the American Military Cemetary. We were able to pay our respects to Gen Patton's grave sight. Very sobering but amazing place to visit.

I am on a small streak with the Jan challenge. My 6 year old did the arm workout with me this morn... Tue, 8 Jan 2013 16:29:14 EST Back to Work....kindof Went to work for a few hours today and the boss let me go to hang out with my family who is visiting.

Even with house guests, I have managed to workout (4 day streak). We even did the core exercises together yesterday!

Now the challenge is traveling around Europe without eating everything in sight (it's all sooooo good).

Keeping it up!
Mon, 7 Jan 2013 11:43:09 EST Getting better... Completed Day #4 of the challenge. I also completed 30 minutes on the elliptical. I love my time on the elliptical. It is the only time I have to myself and the Economist. I just wished their fonts were a little bigger!

Also walked for 2 hours around the Transportation Museum at Sinsheim. Walking up and in the Concord and the Tupelov proved to be good exercise!

Successful with the portion control today. Thanks for the kind posts before! I'm new to this blog thing ... Sun, 6 Jan 2013 12:10:29 EST 1/2 the equation is good So, I completed day #3 of the challenge. I even did a 6K volksmarch.

BUT I ate like a teenager! I need to control my food portions and stop eating like a 16 year old during swim season.

Will work on smaller portions tomorrow.

This will happen! Sat, 5 Jan 2013 16:18:07 EST Day #2 of Sparks Challenge So I started the day off on the right foot. I did the video for the sparks challenge then I went and ran. I felt amazing. I feel as though I am cardiovascularly healthy...but my body (not my heart or lungs) just struggles.

Here's why: Had a pretty big day today. Had a HUGE promotion party and ate absolutely too much and drank absolutely too much.

As they say: "Don't break all the dishes."

Tomorrow I have a volksmarch planned near Saarbrucken so back to t...
