Me & my hubby stayed home and relaxed, it was nice. Since Friday I had something cooking in the oven or my crock pot. Friday was home made baked macaroni & cheese. Not diet but delicious eaten in very small portions. Saturday I made pumpkin oatmeal in the crock pot and home made pumpkin bread (from scratch), it made a lot of loaves. Sunday I did Greek meatballs in the oven with egg lemon sauce. Not sure about the 'goodness' of that sauce I need to run it th... Mon, 8 Oct 2012 11:08:24 EST Bingey and realizing the cause. Since my mom has recovered and has been brought to her house, I have to deal with her on a daily basis (sometimes on the phone or in person). While she was in the hospital and nursing home people tended to her every need, so she's used to immediate attention. I love my mom dearly and having been her caregiver for 20 years. I've noticed that her constant needs/criticisms drive me to eat uncontrollably. It probably has all these years but I'm really noticing it now. She really never seems grate... Well, I turned 39 yesterday. <BR> <BR> Since March I have been trying to get myself ready for the summer and for a very active vacation. I lost 9 lbs. I was running, tracking calories & giving it my full effort. Then my mom got very sick in May and I was derailed. I let myself use the excuse, I'm too busy to food shop or cook, too exhausted from worrying & driving to exercise. Well, I gained half of it back and stopped moving. Mom is still sick and I rea... In the past weeks, I haven't been eating my 6 meals a day and have allowed too many sugar slips. It all went to hell after Valentine's Day and I really shouldn't have let that happen. I'm behind on my goals and that's the most frustrating. One thing I've managed to continue is to not eat processed foods. Mon, 25 Jan 2010 11:42:58 EST Day 16 I'm really happy about the results I've seen so far from eating clean, I'm down 8lbs! This is great because I have struggled in the past going up and down the same 1.5lbs week after week. This is my last week on the fixed diet and I'm glad and nervous at the same time. Today I have to admit I really do feel energetic. I have read this in so many books and magazines and thought yea, right that never happens. Well, it has. It's 10:39 am and I've gotten so much done. It feels later than it really is. There hasn't been any morning fog at all since the first few days of going thru the sugar and caffeine with drawl. <BR> <BR> Last night was tough. Well after 7 days of eating clean I had a pretty good pay off! I lost 5.5 lbs and a half inch around my waist! <BR> <BR> After getting thru the sugar/caffeine withdrawl the plan became more manageable. I had trouble staying on time eating my meals over the weekend. I'm this will improve as the weeks pass! Mon, 11 Jan 2010 11:21:49 EST Days 5-6 eating clean Day five was easier than I expected I packed my 3 meals I was gonna need till I got back home and was going to be an hour late for dinner. Better than I expected until I get ready to leave from my mom's house and realized I locked my keys in the car! So I ended up eating dinner at 9 ish. Stayed up late which caused me to wake up late today. <BR> <BR> All my meals were 2 hrs behind. This is my first weekend on the plan and so far it's pretty smooth. For my snack today I attempted tuna with out mayo. The thought of this is pretty much incomprehensible so this was a BIG challenge for me. I had 2 oz of albacore tuna with a few shakes of lime juice, salt free lemon pepper, and a dash of dried parsely. It was GOOD! I'm not even kidding, dare I say I enjoyed it?! I was anxious about eating on time and measuring everything. After working out (which was only 30 min of light cardio, as they recommend) I was HUNGRY! After meal 5 (dinner) I was better but had a head ache. I didn't have any coffee that morning, just green tea. I had a second cup in the afternoon to see if it would help the headache but it didn't.
