Me & my hubby stayed home and relaxed, it was nice. Since Friday I had something cooking in the oven or my crock pot. Friday was home made baked macaroni & cheese. Not diet but delicious eaten in very small portions. Saturday I made pumpkin oatmeal in the crock pot and home made pumpkin bread (from scratch), it made a lot of loaves. Sunday I did Greek meatballs in the oven with egg lemon sauce. Not sure about the 'goodness' of that sauce I need to run it th... Mon, 8 Oct 2012 11:08:24 EST Bingey and realizing the cause. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5086488 Since my mom has recovered and has been brought to her house, I have to deal with her on a daily basis (sometimes on the phone or in person). While she was in the hospital and nursing home people tended to her every need, so she's used to immediate attention. I love my mom dearly and having been her caregiver for 20 years. I've noticed that her constant needs/criticisms drive me to eat uncontrollably. It probably has all these years but I'm really noticing it now. She really never seems grate... Thu, 4 Oct 2012 11:15:58 EST Day 2 of the last year in my 3rd decade of life... Here goes my best shot! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4976547 So what does that title mean anyway? Well, I turned 39 yesterday.

Since March I have been trying to get myself ready for the summer and for a very active vacation. I lost 9 lbs. I was running, tracking calories & giving it my full effort. Then my mom got very sick in May and I was derailed. I let myself use the excuse, I'm too busy to food shop or cook, too exhausted from worrying & driving to exercise. Well, I gained half of it back and stopped moving. Mom is still sick and I rea... Wed, 18 Jul 2012 17:39:30 EST up 2lbs... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2977062 So, I'm totally not digging this! I'm trying to stay positive and refocus and not be too hard on myself. I had a good day yesterday, hopefully today will follow.

Evening edit: I got in a total of 12,165 steps today! Tue, 9 Mar 2010 09:21:02 EST I've totally strayed! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2972655 In the past weeks, I haven't been eating my 6 meals a day and have allowed too many sugar slips. It all went to hell after Valentine's Day and I really shouldn't have let that happen. I'm behind on my goals and that's the most frustrating. One thing I've managed to continue is to not eat processed foods. It's just the sugar slips and not eating my mini meals that have delayed my progress.

I just don't understand why I let these slips happen. Why can't I keep that motivation and de... Mon, 8 Mar 2010 10:41:27 EST Day 29 BUT Day 1 on my own http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2793990 My 3 week quick start plan from Oxygen Mag is over. 248
I've lost 8.6lbs I was hoping for a bigger loss this week and was a little disappointed on the scale this morning, but a half pound gone is gone for GOOD! 253

I was having trouble making my weeks menu, I got a lot of help from one of the teams I joined Clean Eats Recipes, they posted a weekly menu and I helped me fill in the gaps on the menu I was working on. 304

During the 3 w... Mon, 25 Jan 2010 11:42:58 EST Day 16 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2769850 I'm really happy about the results I've seen so far from eating clean, I'm down 8lbs! This is great because I have struggled in the past going up and down the same 1.5lbs week after week. This is my last week on the fixed diet and I'm glad and nervous at the same time. I need to seriously plan out each day, I referred to the magazine menu several times each day. I've never planned out meals before and I see now what a difference it makes.

Can't wait to see how my weigh in goes on M... Tue, 19 Jan 2010 22:46:06 EST Day 11 Energy Emerges! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2744217 Today I have to admit I really do feel energetic. I have read this in so many books and magazines and thought yea, right that never happens. Well, it has. It's 10:39 am and I've gotten so much done. It feels later than it really is. There hasn't been any morning fog at all since the first few days of going thru the sugar and caffeine with drawl.

Last night was tough. The 3 week plan I'm following has you eat the same food every day for that specific week. I just didn't want that fo... Thu, 14 Jan 2010 10:45:50 EST Week One Weigh In!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2728479 Well after 7 days of eating clean I had a pretty good pay off! I lost 5.5 lbs and a half inch around my waist!

After getting thru the sugar/caffeine withdrawl the plan became more manageable. I had trouble staying on time eating my meals over the weekend. I'm this will improve as the weeks pass! Mon, 11 Jan 2010 11:21:49 EST Days 5-6 eating clean http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2721505 Day five was easier than I expected I packed my 3 meals I was gonna need till I got back home and was going to be an hour late for dinner. Better than I expected until I get ready to leave from my mom's house and realized I locked my keys in the car! So I ended up eating dinner at 9 ish. Stayed up late which caused me to wake up late today.

All my meals were 2 hrs behind. This is my first weekend on the plan and so far it's pretty smooth. Sat, 9 Jan 2010 22:48:05 EST I ate tuna w/out mayo and LIVED! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2709314 Day 4

I'm not a huge mayo fan by any means. Whenever I used it, it was sparingly. For my snack today I attempted tuna with out mayo. The thought of this is pretty much incomprehensible so this was a BIG challenge for me. I had 2 oz of albacore tuna with a few shakes of lime juice, salt free lemon pepper, and a dash of dried parsely. It was GOOD! I'm not even kidding, dare I say I enjoyed it?! I did think to myself well when you are hungry enough anything will taste good. I had jus... Thu, 7 Jan 2010 11:58:21 EST Days 1-3 on the Eating Clean Diet. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2703170 The first day was ok. I was anxious about eating on time and measuring everything. After working out (which was only 30 min of light cardio, as they recommend) I was HUNGRY! After meal 5 (dinner) I was better but had a head ache. I didn't have any coffee that morning, just green tea. I had a second cup in the afternoon to see if it would help the headache but it didn't. I took motrin and went to bed.

Day 2

I woke up with the same headache! it was HORRIBLE! I ate breakfa... Wed, 6 Jan 2010 10:26:14 EST getting 10,000 steps http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2574529 I walked today on the treadmill for an hour. I went 3.65 miles which earned me 6793 steps! 1491 more to go for the day. Thu, 19 Nov 2009 13:58:01 EST BB Week 4 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1779245 Jan 21-Feb 6

Down 1lb!

Had my meeting with the coach on the phone, she pointed out a few things on the site I wasn't familiar with, that was pretty cool. She said overall I'm doing well and to not get discouraged over the slow loss right now due to the fact that I'm losing inches. Sat, 7 Feb 2009 21:52:09 EST Body Bugg week 3 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1771919 Jan 23-30

This week I lost .8 after my last two weigh ins I was expecting a higher number. Being that this weekend is the 1rst of the month it's time to take measurements again.

I lost:
1/4" off my waist
1/2" off my hips
3/8" around the ribs
1/4" around bustline
1/2" off aprox arms

chest, thighs and neck stayed the same.

Overall I'm really happy with my result for January. I hope to do just as well in Feb! Thu, 5 Feb 2009 08:41:25 EST Body Bugg week 1 & 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1739955 Week 1 Jan 9-16

I redid all my measurements and weighed in to prepare a new starting point. It was really fun to learn everything about the bugg. How it works, using the display and calculating everything.
I did really well, I feel it gave me that extra push to work harder during my workouts. I need to plan meals better which is something thats always been a problem for me. But I track consistently and even got used to how the apex food tracking works on the site. I really h...
