KIPPER_KID's SparkPeople Blog KIPPER_KID's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community AWOL but on track Well, a lot has happened since my last blog.

I was told that my blood test in December showed I was pre-diabetic - why they didn't tell me at the time I have no idea..... it wasn't until about a month ago they happened to mention it! Apparently I was as high Hba1c value as I could be without being diagnosed diabetic - you'd think that would be worth a mention, wouldn't you??

All I can say in their favour is that basically they had already headed me in the right direction... Mon, 17 Jul 2017 07:14:51 EST Life's gone on hold for the moment......... 31st January my Dad had a fall and hit his head which meant he had to go to hospital to check for internal bleeding as he was on anti-coagulant medication. Scan was clear but they discovered he fell because he had a serious infection which had dropped his blood pressure and made him dizzy.

From thereon in the world sort of went into freefall and hasn't been right since. To cut a long story short, Dad didn't recover. He died on 16th February. His funeral was last week on 21st March,...
