KIMMYGA1's SparkPeople Blog KIMMYGA1's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Taking it one day at a time! Today is a beautiful day with the sun shining and the temperature supposed to hit 70 degress with no wind! Love it! I love the spring time and look forward to my boys starting baseball, exercising and trying to hit my goals.
My sister started a diet called the Idiot Proof Diet and has lost 45 lbs in 7 months. She is such an inspiration to me and I miss her very much! I enjoyed the day we got to spend with each other a month ago when we all went to Florida to support my dad and Margaret... Tue, 25 Mar 2014 11:49:12 EST Fun times I had the great opportunity to go to Cooperstown, NY with my son Cole and his baseball team while they participated in a week long baseball tournament. There were 104 teams from across the country with 5 being from Utah. It was a great experience, hot and humid and our boys did great! Their coaches just wanted to make it to Thursday which was championship day. We did! We made it to the Elite 8 along with 2 other teams from Utah. We ended up playing a team we frequently do at home and los... Mon, 22 Jul 2013 18:58:10 EST One Step at a time So here I am on a Sunday night reflecting on what my coming week will be for me. I need to get motivated and choose what I want to have happen this week. I am choosing right now that I will exercise each day. I need to choose to wake up early and get it done before work. Then I hope to get a couple bike rides in this week as well. I'm going to really watch it this week. I haven't seen any budge on the scale even though I feel like I haven't been eating to terribly.
I am committing ... Sun, 23 Jun 2013 23:18:31 EST How time flies! It's amazing to me that it has been this long since I last did a blog post, typical of me I guess since my other personal blog is the same. I used to post on it all the time and have just gotten out of the habit and life gets busy.
A lot has changed since my last post. The biggest being my Mom passed away on March 30, 2012. Still doesn't seem real but it's been over a year now. During that year after her passing I somehow managed to gain back about 25 lbs. I'm not sure how and didn't f... Fri, 7 Jun 2013 13:22:37 EST Holidays are here In 6 days it is Christmas and I just can't believe how quickly the holidays have come and will soon be gone. I've decided I spend to much money on it. I do good with buying things throughout the year but as it comes down to that last month I just buy more and more. Like with Bob's Christmas present. I got him his pedals and shoes like he wanted but then found the Nascar experience which I know he will absolutely love but like my note with the present says "Merry Christmas and Happy Birthd... Mon, 19 Dec 2011 13:54:02 EST Fall I really dislike that it's getting cooler outside and that I'll soon be confined to doing my running inside on a treadmill. I did run on it yesterday and it's just so easy for me to jump off where outside I push myself. 39
Also I've just been maintaining the last couple weeks. I'm sure there are things I could give up but don't want to. Like ice cream and Diet Dr Pepper. But those are 2 things I love. I have such a sweet tooth so need to come up with low fat treats to ea... Tue, 18 Oct 2011 14:16:00 EST My first 5k Tomorrow is the big day of running my first 5k that I have put on my New Year's Resolution list for the last 3 years. I'm finally going to do it! I'm not sure if I can run the whole thing, the most I've run is almost 2 miles straight. I'm scared not knowing how hilly this run will be. I avoid inclines is I can at all costs. But Bob said it's in my head and that I can do it. I have a friend Aubrey who is going to try and run it with me so that will be fun. My husband and kids aren't com... Fri, 23 Sep 2011 19:22:00 EST 3 Months into this Today is my 35th birthday. I've been dreading this day for some reason and I'm not sure why. Probably because I am getting older and now I'm closer to 40 than 30. But today is going to be a good day! I am 3 months into using SparkPeople and am down 16 pounds. It is amazing and love the tools on here that I use. My last post said I had a hard time figuring out calories on homemade meals but absolutely love the SparkRecipe link I can use to figure it out. I am at the smallest I have been s... Fri, 3 Jun 2011 13:39:07 EST Keep Going I've been good at doing my tracking for 3 days now. The hard part I find is figuring out calories and all that on homemade meals. So I need to figure that out. We had so much going last night we grabbed dinner on the go. I went with a kids meal thinking that wouldn't be so bad but was surprised how many calories those have. So that makes me more aware if we go out again. Looks like a salad for me next time. We're going out of town this weekend so hope I can be good and get time in to e... Thu, 3 Mar 2011 15:10:56 EST
