Guess what? I am trying yoga again and it feels great. I suppose that it is more like yogic stretching but it beats nothing at all right?! I first started doing yoga in Russia years ago and actually don't know any of the right "names" of the different moves since I know them in another language. I am not even sure exactly what style I know either...

Yoga is helping me to deal with stress and frustration these days and I am happy to report it is ... Thu, 29 Apr 2010 08:39:47 EST Powerful prayers. Hi loved ones!

I know that I hardly ever write anything, but I have been inspired by the words of my friends Tanya and Linda to sit down and give it a try. Ha!

I have been going through a considerable amount of life changes recently, some positive and others negative. I have been praying hard to keep me on the right track and give me some sign what to expect for the future and what I should be currently doing. It has become clear to me that my prayers are being answer... Tue, 20 Apr 2010 11:48:58 EST Ode to Love and Peace. I have been doing a lot of thinking about this subject recently. Our world is so infatuated with possessions, money, things... I have come to realize that there is so much more that really matters. The real "glue" that keeps us sane and healthy is love. I am so blessed to have the love of a wonderfully supportive family comprised of kin and friends. These precious souls are represented here on this very site as well. Thank you so much for all you do to make my life the miracle that it t... Sun, 14 Feb 2010 17:16:34 EST Keelin the Wolverine! Yes Friends...

It is true. I have been hiding something from you for quite some time. I, Keelinover, am actually Hugh Jackman aka "Wolverine". Ok... now that that is out on the table. Ha!

I ran a 13.1 mile race this morning in the snow. Mile one....hadn't started snowing yet...numb feet and fingers. Mile two... snow started. Mile three... fingers and toes back to normal (thank God). Miles pretty chatty with other runners (always fun). Ooooh. Forg... Sat, 30 Jan 2010 20:28:24 EST Whirlwind, wind-tunnel of a trip! Hey Loved Ones!

It seems that I forgot to tell ANYONE that my Husband and I were going on a trip. Sorry!

Turns out that cruises are super cheap these days so we decided to take full advantage of the situation. We just went on a whirlwind trip to the Western Carribean for 5 days. Whirlwind meaning last minute and the fact that it was SO WINDY! I almost was blown off the dang boat while running around the track on the top deck. Ha! I would have loved for it to have r... Fri, 8 Jan 2010 11:26:03 EST Land of the Midnight Sun! Hey everyone!

Thank you so much for your lovely wishes for our trip. I can not even begin to describe how breath-takingly beautiful Alaska is! We went to visit my parents and were surrounded by glaciers, ice-capped mountains, bumpy roads, moose, mosquitoes, bald eagles and the freshest air of my life. The people I ran into were sweet as molasses. What a rare and wonderful opportunity I was given....and boy did I enjoy it! We had so many beautiful memories with my parents...lo... Mon, 8 Jun 2009 11:03:21 EST To Alaska! Yes indeedy! I am leaving for Alaska tomorrow to visit family. This will be my first visit to "Seward's Folly" and I am feeling quite jolly. I will ruin all of my super-long spark streaks that I have had going since January, but oh well! I hope to come back with lots of cool pictures for you guys!

Keelin Thu, 28 May 2009 12:12:19 EST Stoic Endurance.... Hey Everyone....

Sorry for the long silence on the blog front. I have been holding out for a medical school to knock down my door and then I would be able to post a super happy blog. Don't worry, this is still a happy blog.

I am currently on 4 waiting lists at various schools and waiting is just what I am doing. I still have 4 shots at getting into medical school this fall. I have just stared the process over again and have started my application for the fall of 2010... Fri, 22 May 2009 11:30:42 EST Back in the Saddle...and tales of Lake Edna. So I survived my very first spinning class last night. One solid hour of leg-pumping good fun! As a runner, I am generally a little over-confident that exercise courses will not be challenging for some reason. I was greatly mistaken and pleasantly surprised. We stood up, sat back in the saddle, sprinted, went up hills, went back down and had a tremendous time. The other members of the class were well prepared with a towel wrapped on their handle bars. I, on the other hand, sweat like a ... Wed, 18 Mar 2009 10:08:11 EST Longest Run this year! I got together with my super distance running friend this weekend and blew through a 22 mile run. The weather was absolutely perfect and the tow path in Georgetown was picturesque. What a great run. I was unbelievably hungry by about mile 12 and we went to a really hip mexican restaurant afterwards. I feel just great. Mon, 9 Mar 2009 09:31:06 EST Dear Medical Schools... Dear Medical Schools,

My name is Keelin. I am a very nice person and I think you should call me and offer me a position in your fine establishment. I am available to hear from you morning and night. I am a very hard worker and will make you very proud....I promise! You could also offer me lots of money for scholarships...I would not be against that. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Keelin Wed, 25 Feb 2009 10:17:25 EST Happy Birthday to ME! I just love this holiday... I think it should be celebrated internationally!

I hope that I always love it as much as I do now!
Mon, 16 Feb 2009 11:11:39 EST 12-miler... uphill w/ a 20mph headwind! What a hell of a run. It felt like the whole thing was uphill...that is possible right? Fri, 13 Feb 2009 12:05:24 EST Finally broke's a miracle! Yippee Skippy. This is the first time in a really long time. I guess the plateau and hard work finally paid off. Yeah! Wed, 11 Feb 2009 12:53:35 EST Rio and I ran our tails off today. I went on what I thought to be a 5 mile loop. When I checked the distance online at home, I realized it actually was an 8 miler. We've begun our marathon training again officially

224 Sun, 8 Feb 2009 13:53:55 EST Plateau City! I know that I am making progress. I can see it in my nutrition tracker and the spark streaks. Not so much luck in the scale department. Maybe next week. Sat, 7 Feb 2009 17:01:20 EST Signed up for my next Marathon! Yup! This will be my tenth marathon I think. (If I haven't lost track) I found one for a moderate price in Northern Virginia in May 2009. This will get me back into training mode for sure. I can hardly wait to add another medal to my collection. I have a thing for participation medals. Wed, 4 Feb 2009 20:02:51 EST
