I still wanted to lose about 20 lbs and based on the BMI chart I was still considered overweight for my height. (Who decided that?)
So now that I am 50 lbs overweight I am seriously down and out about it.

Everyone keeps saying "you just had a baby!" but I wonder exactly how long I can use that for an excuse? I only have 2 pairs of jeans that I alternate all week and one of those... Thu, 23 Feb 2012 21:37:14 EST My motivational collage http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4120216 So I took a SP calendar that I bought last year and turned it into a motivational collage. Of course there are 12 pages but this specific one is my creation.

it was a lot... Sat, 26 Mar 2011 19:34:03 EST Relax, it's just a number http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4119531 I decided to weigh myself today and for once I didn't let myself get bent out of shape about it. I am not one for scales but I can say that it is nice to know that I am no longer 160 lbs! I would like to be around 130 but something in my body tells me I would look stick thin. GROSS
I want to be fit not THIN or TINY. Curves & definition are sexy, not ribs and collar bone.

So I am on the hunt for some jeans within the next couple weeks. I would much rather go to consignment plac... Sat, 26 Mar 2011 12:10:56 EST I got lost....oh wait, there I am! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4118580 So I posted a blog last night and thought about it all day & realized it wasn't ME.

I have now demanded a "redo"!

Let me just start by saying I am not much for writing blogs (as you can tell by my newly revamped spark page). But I have decided that if I don't do blogs, then I must start writing in my journal again. I have had an epiphany in the last 24 hours and let me just say how relieved I am. I started to feel very "taken over" by several things.

#1 being ... Fri, 25 Mar 2011 21:42:34 EST Snow day!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3910615 So most people would probably think I am silly by writing about snow but where I live, it's a very rare thing for us to get 8 inches!!

I decided to put my heart rate monitor on while hubby, both the brats (dogs) and I went outside to play in the snow. We built a snow man, ran around and had a snowball fight within an hour and a half period. After my feet went numb and the brats were soaked from galloping in the pure white bliss we decided to go in. As I took the monitor off I figur... Mon, 10 Jan 2011 14:51:26 EST Struggling http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3781804 This will probably sound like the winiest, most negative blog I have wrote....but here it goes!

Last April I found SP and was excited about starting a healthy lifestyle change. I struggled with it at first but put good habits into place. I started exercising and didn't really set goals but knew I had to start somewhere. I got the good habits down pat and didn't pay much attention to the scale because I get SO frustrated when I weigh myself. I was far from perfect but understood tha... Sat, 13 Nov 2010 18:25:19 EST What makes me feel good! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3691897 It has been awhile since I decided to fight the clothes shopping battle. I pushed myself to go buy new jeans once I started seeing the inner thigh portion slowly starting to wear thin.
I took the leap and just went for it telling myself not to get upset about a certain size not fitting; after all, they are just clothes.

My husband and I had some gift cards from the wedding so we went on our shopping spree first. I guess I was semi avoiding going clothes shopping but he kept as... Mon, 4 Oct 2010 16:10:13 EST Having GREAT results! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2791028 I have been using theFirm WAVE system the last 3 weeks. I can honestly say that I have seen a significant amount of fat loss in the past 3 weeks.

I am not sure if most ppl pay attention to infomercials', but I work night shift so that's really that's on when I get home!

Anyways, I can definitely say that I would recommend this to anyone....along with nutritional tracking etc....and just doing the 30 min, 40 min or express abs (only 10 mins!) alternating these for 10 wo... Sun, 24 Jan 2010 19:41:56 EST Things that make you feel so good! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2736532 Went to the wonderful place called work today & my manager asked me how much weight I have lost! The funny thing about it is, I don't like to weigh myself so I didn't know, I just told her I had been keeping up with my streaks (not thinking she might not know what I meant) and sure enough she asked me what I meant!

I told her about SP and the perks to it etc. She is a very busy person so I didn't expect any of it to sink in, but she said that's great Kisha, you look good! I probabl... Tue, 12 Jan 2010 20:16:40 EST Replacing a bad habit with something good http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2725997 I am attempting to replace my bad (sometimes) habit of eating to much sugar, with more veggies. I do not seem to have a problem with the fruits, but remembering the amount of veggies I need daily seems to be an issue....why, I'm not sure!

I love just about anything so I know it isn't b/c I just don't like them. I started getting the V8 juice to try to jumpstart this new habit and it seems to be working out so far.

I am going to replace the cookies sitting at the desk ne... Sun, 10 Jan 2010 21:39:47 EST Hitting a Plateau http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2229161 Ok so I want to make sure I don't hit my plateau like I did a couple months back. This resulted in me just stopping as I was getting frustrated and didn't know why I wasn't getting any where. So, if anyone has suggestions I am all ears!

I am currently doing Turbo Jam 20 & 40 min cardio (mixed throughout the week) and Turbo Sculpt with some QuickFire Challenges also. I do sculpting (strength training) 3 days out of the week and take Sat. & Sun off to rest.

Should I up the... Tue, 14 Jul 2009 19:03:23 EST This weekend.... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2223123 Ok so NOW I feel a little bad.

I had some DQ Ice Cream cake for my boyfriends birthday and I could immediately tell the difference in how sweets and eating healthy make you feel.
I do feel guilty as I knew when I was being served the cake that I didn't need this. But what did I do? I ignored the "angel vs. devil" on my shoulders and ate it anyway!

I can say one good thing about this weekend....we went out to Hooters Saturday Night for his actual birthday and I di... Sun, 12 Jul 2009 19:00:27 EST Weighing myself for the first time in FOREVER http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2216517 Ok, so I know I said I am not one to weigh myself but I couldn't resist today.
I have suspected that the start weight I applied on SP was over generalized so I said "You know what? I'm gonna weigh myself today"

Instead of weighing out at 165, I weighed out at 151! I was so excited I had to step off and step back on! So I have revamped everything except the amount of weight I want to lose. The BMI chart states I am barely in the healthy range for my height so I can't complain t... Thu, 9 Jul 2009 20:10:49 EST
