From all of this *&%$*#@ coughing!!! Seriously, my side hurts and I wince in pain when I cough. I've been coughing for over 3 weeks but my side just started hurting today. I probably just pulled a muscle. :(

It was a cook 50` after work today but the sun was shining and it was beautiful. The boys & I walked to their school and played a little basketball. I got in about 40 minutes of activity & it felt good... Tue, 20 Jan 2009 18:47:55 EST Not a good day today... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1700719 I FINALLY went to the doctor yesterday and found out I have bronchitis. Ugh. So, I'm now on antibiotics. I got a decent nights sleep last night and was enjoying it so much that I overslept this morning. I jumped out of bed & got the boys to school (the were not late) and still had to shower for work. In my rush, I left the house without my lunch. I stopped by Sonic this afternoon. I know, no excuse... I still could have chosen something healthy at Sonic, but I didn't.

Moving on... Wed, 14 Jan 2009 22:19:51 EST Doing good today! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1692121 I had a GREAT day with eating on target! Finished the day with 1330 calories... perfect in my book! I even cooked dinner at home tonight. That actually says alot as I don't normally cook at home (shame on me). But, it was a 'Healthy Pizza' I got off of the sparkpeople recipes. Yummy! I even have 2 slices left over to take to work for lunch tomorrow. Can't get much better than that! :)

Now, I'm logging off so I can do my BootCamp exercises. Mon, 12 Jan 2009 22:03:18 EST TGI Saturday! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1684003 Ha ha!

I did good today until dinner time where we went to BBQ after church. Going out to dinner on Saturday nights is a weekly tradition in my household and I don't like going to restaurants and not ordering what I really want. So there. No guilt, no regrets. Moving on...

:) Sat, 10 Jan 2009 23:12:09 EST The munchies hit me today... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1676067 Yeap, you read that right. The munchies hit me today after work. I didn't think I had consumed that much until I logged it in to SP and saw the calorie count... yowsers! Just goes to show how damaging mindless munching can be.

Moving on! Here's to another day tomorrow. Thu, 8 Jan 2009 22:12:00 EST Day 4 of Bootcamp! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1671800 I just finished up with day 4 of bootcamp! It is an ab workout today. My abs were in decent shape before my most recent surgery, but I noticed today that is no longer the case. The area around my belly button is what gives me the most trouble.

I haven't done my 30 min of cardio this week because my chest is STILL congested from my recent cold/flu and any type of breathing (sometimes even talking) causes me to go into a coughing fit. I'm hoping that by next week I'll be able to inco... Wed, 7 Jan 2009 23:44:03 EST Day 2 Boot Camp http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1661122 I finished up the 7 minute day2 bootcamp workout. 7 minutes is really not alot but considering I had major surgery less than 2 months ago on my legs and I haven't exercised since then, 7 minutes of a leg workout was quite a bit! My legs were a bit shaky afterwards when I did Coach Nicole's cardio kickboxing video afterwards. But, I feel good that I have tried it.

Today is also day 1 of my colon cleanse. It is suggested that most people do a colon cleanse once a year and those with ... Mon, 5 Jan 2009 22:50:45 EST Day 6 (from 10/6/08) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1501828 Protect your program

No one will ever care about your diet plan as much as you so it's your job to prevent people or events from pulling you off track.

A little tip, when you're in a situation tell the host "not just yet, I'm going to wait a bit." This gives you the time needed!!

Also ,remember to PLAN long periods of empty time (i.e. weekends) so you're not looking for food.

WORK:

Identify 3 high risk situations, and write how you'l... Wed, 8 Oct 2008 14:50:18 EST Day 5 (from 10/5/08) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1501804 Magic Notebook

For many people, recording personal thoughts & feelings gives valuable insight. You're able to see possible patterns. You can write as little as one sentence to as much as you want. Your decision.

Just because you think about a food, doesn't mean you need to eat it. If you write about it, you're taking it out of your mind. Write about the anticipated pleasure in eating it.

Practice the skill of observing food cues, then let them go, i.e. movi... Wed, 8 Oct 2008 14:34:45 EST Day 4 (from 10/4/08) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1499941 BOUNDARIES, NOT DIETS

The problem isn't with diets, it's with the way we use them, the rigid perfectionists ways. Most people on a diet strive hard for the exact number of calories, fat grams, carbs, etc. But if we slip up by eating a forbidden, we use the all or nothing approach and figure since we've blown it, we throw it all out the window.

Instead of looking at the word diet, look at it as a boundary, setting limits but can be flexible allowing for common sense and... Tue, 7 Oct 2008 14:31:00 EST Day 3 (from 10/3/08) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1499927 DO IT ANYWAY

"I don't feel like exercising today." Sound familiar?

Right now your committed to your goals. But what happens when you don't feel like it? You don't feel like cooking means scavenging thru the house, ordering out, or even going out.

Committed means to do it anyway. You don't wait to go to work until you feel like it. Don't put your self work off any longer. DO IT ANYWAY!

Committed people take action no matter what, whether they fee... Tue, 7 Oct 2008 14:24:34 EST Day 2 (from 10/2/08) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1497921 Interested or committed?

When you start a new diet, you’re determined to stay on it until you reach your goal - but then something comes up.

When you're interested, you tend to stick to it until something better comes along.

When you're committed, you have a totally different outlook on reaching your goals. Being committed means you stick to it - no matter what.

WORK:
Describe how you will stick with your plan no matter what.

D... Mon, 6 Oct 2008 14:56:18 EST Day 1 (from 10/1/08) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1497913 Change your thinking - your past does not determine your future. Starting today, eliminate the belief that things always go a certain way.

When doubts creep in, tell yourself you used to be that way, but you're different now.

Make a list of fears or negative behaviors that hurt your weight loss and tell yourself you used to be that way, but you're different now.

Rewrite ending to your list of I used to _____ but now I _____.

********************... Mon, 6 Oct 2008 14:49:52 EST Journal Entry 10/6/08 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1497904 I am playing catch-up for a 100 day weight loss challenge. So far it seems that it is alot of 'changing your thinking' which is something I desperately need to work on. Even though I have lost alot of weight, I still find myself reverting back to old habits... I call it "fat brain". Every time "fat brain" sets in, it scares me. Luckily, I have been able to suppress it. Obesity is a disease that I don't believe there is a cure. I will have "fat brain" for the rest of my life, and it is up to m... Mon, 6 Oct 2008 14:44:32 EST Rings http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1007478 OK, so I haven't worn my wedding ring in over 6 months because it was
too big. When we got married over 10 years ago, my ring size was an 8
1/2. Even as I gained 100lbs over the next 8 years, my ring size never
changed. But, as I lost weight, my rings were getting too big. I
finally had to quit wearing it because I was SO AFRAID of losing it!

My husband has gained about 25 pounds since we got married and his ring
is too small. He quit wearing his about... Wed, 13 Feb 2008 15:29:12 EST
