I was coming on, checking in on groups but not really taking part. I'm happy to say that I did hit 196, my second lowest weight while on sparks and for about 6 months I stayed between there and 213. At that time I was working out and weight lifting and so I didn't really care about the gain since everything was fitting the same. Then I started swelling up really badly and was at 218. My trainer sai... Sat, 9 May 2015 01:38:29 EST 50 pounds Gone! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5522825 It has been a while since I've posted so I thought I come along and say yes...50 pounds gone total! I've been on and off here so let me break it down. Last year I started at 257, came on sparks in April and May and lost some weight. Left and gained it back. Came back in October and lost again but left for the holidays and gained most of it back. I have this real bad habit of not "dieting" during the holidays and gaining back. I did ok I guess and started the new year at 242. I put off everyt... Fri, 25 Oct 2013 03:03:24 EST My Thoughts on the Lives Lost on 5/20 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5365271 The 20th was a big bag of emotions for me. There was a lot going on in our country, some of it big such as the Oklahoma storms and some of it big but on a different level. On one hand my heart was breaking for those hit by the tornadoes and on the other hand I had found out that a singer I listened to had lost his battle with cancer. It sounds small in comparison but not one life weighs more than the other. What was big about this kid (he died at 18) is that he had known for 4 years that he ... I have been working on doing squats, push ups and crunches, actually doubling the amount of each that I can do while only doing each group every 3 days. I'm super proud of myself.

I have started walking but only short distances, nothing long, so I know that my cardio can use some help.

I've been keeping my calories around 2k and under though I will be the first to admit that the food choices are not too great.

I've g... Mon, 11 Mar 2013 02:33:59 EST Happy 2013 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5208331 Hey Spark Friends!

I know it has been a while since I have last blogged but I wanted to let everyone know that I'm still around and still doing my thing. I managed to keep the weight I lost last year off until the last 2 weeks of the year. I then gained it all back minus 2 lbs. When I say I gained it all back I mean that on New Years Eve I weighed in at 235.8 and on Jan 3rd I weighed in at 242.2. That is a LOT of water weight.

But I'm dropping it and I'm already down to ... Tue, 15 Jan 2013 12:19:48 EST November Challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5134479 I didn't stick with the full October challenge. Actually once hitting 228 on the 15th of Oct. I slacked a bit. I did finally hit 225lbs making the 30lbs gone and reaching my goal for the month.

And that is when it all ended.

I have decided to get back on track as of today. SW: 227.8 which means only a 2.8 pound gain in the past 4 weeks. I'm pretty happy with that since I know that it is water gain since I gained it within the first 3 days after going off track. I'm sup... Tue, 13 Nov 2012 20:36:16 EST 220's Are Back! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5100067 Last week I met my goal of 230lbs but the next day I was back up a pound! I just realized that by mistake I went off the plan. I thought each package of food was 1 serving size when it's really 2.25 serving sizes (or maybe 2.5). Instant water gain and slow down of weight loss. I lost the 1lb the next day and then the following day I lost 2lbs. Today I'm at the same weight but I think it is due to lack of water, increase of diet soda and lack of sleep.

I find that when I sleep rea... Mon, 15 Oct 2012 14:45:51 EST A Quick Check In http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5090488 Just wanted to give a quick check in. I continued on with the Just 1o Challenge and reached my Goal. I gained back some of the weight after getting off of it but I've gotten back on track and hopefully tomorrow will be back at that last weight. It's hard knowing that I'm starting back over from months ago and realizing that I could have another 10, 20, or even 30 lbs gone by now but I guess now is not the time to sit back and bring out the tiny violin. I'm moving forward and hope to see my go... Sun, 7 Oct 2012 21:04:30 EST Just 10: Day 15 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4928234 Today I'm 15 days into the Just 10lbs Challenge with my Hottie Girls and so far I'm liking it. I find this to be the perfect challenge for me, I'm working on core health principles such as portion control and serving sizes. I've not yet "mastered" all the task but I'm pretty close, almost hitting every one daily. I struggle on the 10 mins of activity and making sure it's "exercise" like.

The good: Simple steps I can take one at a time that teach and re-enforce good habits.
<B... Fri, 15 Jun 2012 20:00:41 EST 30 Day Challenge #1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4926663 I just finished my first 30 day challenge in which I set the goal to lose 10 pounds in 30 days. I reached my goal on 6/13/2012! I wanted to reflect on that challenge today.

My diet plan was to eat in range 5 days of the week and "diet" with a low carb diet for 2 days of the week. At first I tried to "fast" my first day (Monday) and failed like crazy. So on Tuesday I picked myself back up and ate only 50 grams of carbs for the day and the following day. I then continued in the 1200... Thu, 14 Jun 2012 17:04:55 EST Just 10lbs Challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4902807 I'm taking on a new challenge on the Spooky to Hottie team http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups_
individual.asp?gid=10729 and I'm really excited about this one. Why? Because I feel this is a great stepping stone for those just starting, those who are starting over and those who are still going but need a little something to keep them on track. This means that all my friends can join without the need of rearranging their current plan. The plan comes from Dr. Oz and is called "Just Ten... Tue, 29 May 2012 13:31:07 EST Till the 21st http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4873350 I drove by a gym yesterday and decided to walk in and check it out. In return they gave me a free pass from the 7th till the 21st of this month (2 wks)! I didn't use it yesterday because not only did I have a baby with a fever but I was also recovering from one from the day before. So, I went there today instead.

It was a bit hard since my whole body still feels as if it's still in recovery from something like the flu. I haven't been to the gym in years now, about 3. Tue, 1 May 2012 13:12:16 EST New Starting Point. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4794941 So I started last June at 256.8 or so and as of today I am down to 240lbs. This year my high has been 246 so I have lost 6lbs in almost 3 whole months. Not my norm but I can honestly admit that I'm not trying very hard. I can't afford a gym so there is that that I am lacking and on top of that I have not been dieting (last few days prove that!). I did start a food journal at the start of last week and boy does it show things going poorly. 3 parties with lasagna and cake and ice cream and pizz... Mon, 19 Mar 2012 12:24:16 EST Stuffed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4655667 I Have to say that yesterday was a better food day but today not so much. I will have to redo my plan for this week so here goes.

1. 64 oz of water daily

2. No snacking

3. No seconds

Today was just a mixture of all of the above. I couldn't stop drinking (water) I couldn't stop snacking (on anything including the 2 ho-ho's I ate and the massive amount of liverwurst) and I have another bowl of soup though I'm so stuffed that I could only take a bite o... Tue, 3 Jan 2012 23:05:28 EST Happy New Year! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4651714 Yes, I didn't blog yesterday because I wasn't even going to bother to set myself up for failure. I had planned on a New Years meal and I was going to eat it. I admit though, I didn't go over board. No pie was made nor biscuits. Just mashed potatoes, stuffing and turkey. Yes dh insisted that I cook turkey for New Years (ack!).

Will openly admit to the fact that I did try a fried twinky which was nasty!!! And, I did have some candy and a soda but other than that, yep, it was pretty d... Mon, 2 Jan 2012 16:17:56 EST 2012 New Goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4645331 Working on new goals for the New Year!

Last year I didn't get very far in my goals but I openly admit that except for the 5 or so days I spent blogging on here, I didn't really come here or much or even work on my original plan. But despite it all, I managed to make this the first year in which by the start of the next year I weighed less then what I started. On top of that I'e managed to keep the weight off for about 6 months! Yep, I'm lighter by 10 pounds!

So this year... Wanted to check in though and let everyone know that I'm alive. Tue, 2 Aug 2011 16:03:09 EST 12, 13 and 14 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4387562 Okay so here is what happened. I logged my food and everything for day 12 but forgot to blog and then forgot to do everything yesterday because I was out for most of the day. So I'm wrapping everything up into one bundle so that I can start doing this at night.

I've fallen off the plan totally, not doing it for about 4 days so far and eating very poorly. I'm still running here and there and eating fast food nearly daily. :( I'm hoping to make a few changes this week though!
... Tue, 26 Jul 2011 13:45:09 EST Day 11 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4382015 I'm off on all accounts! Not stuck to the plan at all due to lack of needed materials (need to go shopping major!) and on top of that the lack of shopping has lead to lots of eating out. I have gained 4lbs!!! I feel tired and bloated :(

Food for yesterday... Taco bell double x burrito...I know, I know... Um a klondike bar...pistachios.... and roast beef....yep...I know... Sun, 24 Jul 2011 00:18:48 EST Day 10 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4379407 Okay so I've lost a little bit of the regained weight but not all of it. Yesterdays eating was not at all good. I found myself starving around 8 and realized I had only had a yogurt for breakfast, 10 chicken nuggets for lunch (tyson) and one of those fruit pies for a snack. I ended up making pasta for dinner with little bits of sausage. It was only enough for 6 servings split between 5 of us and we still have a pot of it left (what a waste) and only 4 sausages in the package. I'm guessing I h... Fri, 22 Jul 2011 13:44:53 EST Day 9 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4377073 Wow...so here is the thing. I had Pizza one night, fried food the next day and yesterday I ate out and had a bunch of sweets ( Jack in the box Small fries, Super big chicken sandwich (no mayo) Kraft mac and cheese and half a cherry pie along with some diet coke...about 32 oz or so.). So I got on the scale this morning and what does it read? 5 lbs gained!!!

I will say that 1. I feel bloated and 2. I can't remember the last time I went number 2...3 days ago??? So I'm wondering if it'... Thu, 21 Jul 2011 12:50:30 EST Day 8 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4376137 So bad on food and I really did try. That's my new plan...eating right while doing this. I want to see how well it will work.

So here is day 8...Fried chicken thigh, half a cup of potato salad, fried frog legs (one frog), 1 large hard boiled egg, 3/4 of a brownie portion, half a cantaloup and half a capri sun.

Sigh...

Oh, totally forgot the yogurt... Thu, 21 Jul 2011 00:57:00 EST Day 7 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4373084 So yesterday was day 7 and here is how it went...

1 egg for breakfast, 2 slices of pepperoni pizza for lunch, 2 slices of cheese pizza for dinner and 8oz of Sprite. I really should eat more fruit and veggies but like I said, I'm eating crap for a reason, to see if this really does work. So what is the final score for week one, doing my best to eat like crap and debunk this whole theory?

I failed...Really, for me, this really couldn't be debunked. I started on Saturday w... Tue, 19 Jul 2011 16:54:00 EST Day 6 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4370373 Yesterday was Day 6 which means today is the last day to make this all count. How will my eating measure out? Not sure. I might grab a pizza just to see if I can go over board but then again, that wouldn't be my normal eating fully now would it (already eaten out at my max this week).

As for yesterday: 10 tyson nuggets between breakfast and lunch, fried tripe(1.5 cups) with rice (1.5 cups)(tripe dipped in flour and fried in EVOO with red onions, tomatoes, garlic and cilantro. Whit... Mon, 18 Jul 2011 13:52:27 EST Day 5 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4368105 Day 5 I got back on track, not missing a beat. We were out most of the day it seems. I went off early in the day and though I made breakfast for the kids, I didn't make it for me. Instead I had the other half of that brownie from day 3 or so. I got back and did a few things around the house and then got them lunch. After getting them all ready we headed out again and at about 5 they started complaining about food. Well I had completely forgotten dinner which needed to be put in the crockpot... Sun, 17 Jul 2011 13:37:01 EST Day 4 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4366472 Day 4 was wild. I took my daughter and her friend to a concert and while they were there I had to waste 4 hours with the other kids which meant a trip to the mall and eating out there (no one had dinner and it was now after 7). I had teriyak chicken and friend rice ( I think they gave me the wrong plate cus it was supposed to be steamed rice.) and spicy tuna sushi and a sprite. All of this was shared by the way. Lunch was 1 mini tyson chicken sandwich and breakfast was half of a pb and j sand... Sat, 16 Jul 2011 13:38:21 EST Day 3 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4364676 Okay day 3 here and I can say that I didn't do my normal for this whole "diet" deal and kind of felt it. I was a bit tired all day long and spent a lot of time hanging around. At the same time though AF is here and I didn't get to sleep until 1 am and then was up way early. I guess that could be part of it. Here is the food intake though... jack in the box pita, roasted raw onions, corn taco (home made with beef tongue, tomatoes, corn, chilies, onions), then a serving of the inside of the co... Fri, 15 Jul 2011 13:20:39 EST Day 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4362646 So if you look on my nutrition log from yesterday you can see where my calorie intake is. So here is how yesterday went.

I felt a bit more hungry by the end of the day and could not stop snacking. In the morning I did 2 large eggs again and then at noon it was Mac and cheese with 1 hot dog cut into it but also cream cheese and sour cream added (we only had the powder stuff and we hate it and wanted it a bit more creamy. Due to lack of money we are on a coupon and "eat what you ca... Thu, 14 Jul 2011 14:31:18 EST Day 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4360596 Okay, Yesterday I posted that I was trying something new and had started that morning. So today I am continuing on with it.

Did I notice anything different yesterday? Yes at first. I felt no need to eat breakfast even though it was going on 11am. I had to force myself to eat 2 large hard boiled eggs and then had to force myself to eat lunch (tomato slices on french bread). About 4pm I had a unhealthy snack(4 snack size snickers) which caused me to nearly vomit. About 6pm I had di... I weighed myself on Saturday and tried it that day but realized I wasn't fully ready so I'm keeping the same weight and giving this a go as of this morning. I'll try to get on here every night to keep a record on how I'm feeling and how things are going. After trying this for about a month I'll post up how it went and if it is ... Tue, 12 Jul 2011 15:03:01 EST What happened to the Scale? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4237318 I have no clue as to what happened to the scale. My last weigh in was last monday and sorry to say it said I was up to 247lbs which is a gain. I'm hoping that it is some water weight and things will drop back down. I'm still aiming for my goals though I will admit that I could try a bit harder. I have managed to lose 2lbs. My eating is okay. I did have a day where I snacked a bit but other than that, nothing but home cooked meals. I have taken a few walks but not much since I've not been feeling well due to tooth surgery or what not. Just my luck I'll screw something up. LOL.

Monday is my weigh in day so 3 days to get some weight gone. I'm kinda hoping to see 245...actually, I'm really excited to see that number.

Hug... They were off a bit at first because when it talked about writing it never stated "creative" writing but would talk about business writing and the such. Apparently they group "all" types or writing in so before she explained that I had some weird stuff on my list. I changed all the writing stuff, treating it as both business and creative writing and tada, it's on my list. I think some of my skills are off due th... Sat, 19 Mar 2011 01:24:59 EST 255lbs...My New Norm? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4098733 So I'm blogging, trying to get a grasp on how I want to handle things. I got my comp on the 4th of March but on my birthday (feb 14th) by paper I started setting up goals. In Feb I was right at 250.2 pounds but by the 28th (I weigh in on mondays) I was 255.4lbs. I figured it was aunt flow but that came and went and not much of a change. So, I've changed my tracker to 255lbs instead of 250lbs. Yep, in 18 months I've managed to gain 15lbs making me heavier than what I was during my pregnancy.... Mon, 12 Apr 2010 20:14:33 EST Day 21 of NaNoWriMo http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2579974 Okay for those who don't know, I love to write. Nov. is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and the goal is to write a 50,000 word novel.

As of the 20th I needed 24,999 more words to go. I've managed to write everyday for at least 15 minutes but I just haven't been feeling this story. I don't plot, don't write up character sheets and the such, I just sit down, write for 15 minutes and hope and pray that something comes out of it all. Well, normally it takes between 7k-15k word... Sun, 22 Nov 2009 01:57:49 EST What a peaceful day... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2567548 So,

Lost my keys, kids didn't get to school, searched and destroyed the whole house, even dug through the garbage...yuck. I had no food in the house but pasta so we had dry cereal for breakfast...yummm(today was food shopping day since we missed it yesterday). Dh got hit by a semi truck that merged into him while he was in the left lane. He was able to drive the car back and give us lunch, since I couldn't even walk down to the store and pick something up because my purse was lock... Mon, 16 Nov 2009 23:39:08 EST Starting back at the beginning.... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2564458 I think it's time for me start over. I brought back the challenge and got myself through the first two weeks but I really think I need a kick in the rear. I love my cardio and without the gym and with this weather that I can't take the babies out into, I need to find my own kick in the butt, my own cardio to get me going.

So I dug back through my files and said, yep, this circuit program kills me...sounds good, let's do it!

"Now when we fought, you had that eye of the ti... Sun, 15 Nov 2009 23:26:51 EST YOU'RE OFF THE WAGON!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2556309 I can't believe that it's been 2 months since my last blog entry!!!

There are somethings that just scream, 'YOU'RE OFF THE WAGON!!!' and not blogging is one of them.

I feel that when you take the time to reflect on what is going on in your life, health life, you take the time to realize what needs to be done. Some times we just "forget" and it's way too easy to do compared to having it up front in your face all the time.

So I know that when I'm not blogging ... Thu, 12 Nov 2009 14:13:15 EST Ripley's, Believe It or Not..... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2403490 ...Birth Story.

On September 12th I began to have contractions for about 6 hour’s total of the day. They were irregular, sometimes one or two in an hour and other times they were seven to ten minutes apart. I was able to walk and talk through them. I noticed a chunk of mucus. I called my doula and let her know the events of the day. Not at all concerned, I went to bed at about 10:40, not bothering to pack my hospital bag since the contractions had all but ended.

At about... Wed, 16 Sep 2009 01:31:55 EST I GIVE UP!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2384016 Okay, so I totally give up.

Here is the latest. I've been turned down from everyone since the start of this pregnancy...

Yesterday I got a call from my midwife (yes my due date) and the midwife she works under says that I'm at risk cus I have big babies and recommends that I not be taken in and if she does, she can't work under her. So, she had to let me go...

Just about EVERYONE seems to be turning me away due to being "high risk" because I have "big babies".... Tue, 8 Sep 2009 21:19:56 EST I'M NOT MISERABLE!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2376421 Why does everyone assume that I'm miserable??? Except for the one time I fell on my back and hurt myself (mostly my fingers) I've never complained about being miserable or wanting to end this pregnancy. In fact, I've been going on and on about how I wish I could be pregnant for ever and how I wish this would never end. Just about every post, blog and status has talked about how things are going so fast and I wish they would slow down so that I could remain pregnant longer. Yes, I've had days... This doula sent my story around and I got several doulas who were willing to help me out at a discounted or payment plan rate. I've actually picked one out and her backup doula is going to be at my birth for free!

On top of that, all the doulas agreed that I needed a home birth so for the past ...
