But then I started slacking more and more, and before I knew it I was only doing it twice/week. And then once/week. I only got in 11 Shred workouts in just over a month.... no wonder I didn't lose any weight.

The thing is.. I DID notice that it was working. My stamina was recognizably better after only the first few workouts. My muscles ached in that special way that makes you know that wha... Thu, 14 Jun 2012 13:30:09 EST 30 Day Shred started yesterday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4854895 So yesterday my Amazon package arrived, and with it the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred dvd. So of course I was excited to get home, get the kids to bed and throw the dvd in. Let me tell you... that workout kicked my butt something hard. Now I know I'm not in the greatest shape, but I at least thought I was starting to be in somewhat decent shape. My goodness, was I wrong!

So I did the Level 1 yesterday... I managed to keep up with the video for the most part. She only allows you ... Fri, 27 Apr 2012 12:41:25 EST Reflecting... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4800075 So my son was born almost 2 years ago. For some reason today, I decided to run my weight loss report all the way back to his birthday. I was curious... what did my pattern of weight loss look like over the last 2 years. Am I really still losing "baby weight" or is it something else?

My first weight entry following the birth of my son was about 2 months after he was born. 183.5... my highest ever non-pregnant weight that I have on record. Surely that was expected, because I had st... Thu, 22 Mar 2012 16:18:42 EST Well I wasn't expecting that... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4795079 So about a week and a half ago, my lil family went for our annual physical doctor appointments. No biggie.. I wasn't expecting much of anything to happen. It'd been a while since Bryce had seen a doctor so I wanted him to get checked out. He smokes, so it's a good thing to check in with a doc once in a while, right?

So we get a phone call about a week later, except it wasn't Bryce that needed to go in again, it was me! So I started racking my brain trying to figure out what it co... Mon, 19 Mar 2012 13:31:47 EST My old SparkPage intro (and total losses for 2008/09) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3458795 From my Spark People first attempt:

Unlike many of the people I've seen on Spark, I did NOT struggle with my weight all my life. If anything, I had a super-efficient metabolism that kept me looking like a frickin' stick throughout high school (we're talking 110 lbs at 5'7" and NO I didn't have an eating disorder), then I switched birth control from the Depo shot to the pill in grade 12, and the hormones affected my body (for one thing, my chest shot from a B-cup to a DDD in a matte... Thu, 22 Jul 2010 14:22:07 EST 6 weeks post-partum with Ethan... ready to get serious again. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3351635 I was digging through a box of clothes today to find a pair of shorts to wear. These were clothes I had packed up early in my pregnancy. NONE of the shorts fit. Either my belly hangs over the top or they hug my thighs and hips in a weird way. So I'm still stuck wearing maternity clothing. Ugh!

I DID find 2 pair of jeans in there, practically brand new. They are now my goal jeans! 224 One pair is a 31 waist and I can get them all the way up and they look good.. but I can'... Sun, 20 Jun 2010 00:25:27 EST Spring 2009.. starting fresh again! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2029952 So... today is the first day of being a co-leader for a new Class of Sparkers... and I'm hoping that I will be a good leader... and also hoping that this will help ME stay on the wagon... I'm not finished, not yet!

In early April, I got sick with a really bad flu for a few days, and just never got back to my normal exercise routine. So today is a new day, and I'm back at it.

I have NO idea what I weigh right now... haven't weighed in since late March. I really should che... Sun, 3 May 2009 22:45:09 EST Taking a good long look at myself... and being happy about how far I've come. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1955540 I'm been thinking about reevaluating my weight goal... I dont' think that 140 is realistic for my body at this point in my life... years ago before I had my baby, I was at 150 lbs and looking very chubby in the face.. I exercises and worked out and got down to range between 139-145. But now all my "extra" weight is in my hips/butt area with a little belly pooch... and I'm not sure I WANT to be 140 lbs anymore. I think it will be a constant struggle to maintain that weight and I'll never be ha... Sat, 7 Mar 2009 13:22:45 EST Staying Accountable - fitness calendar http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1846788 (I posted this as a thread in the message boards, but wanted to blog it too)

So.. I thought I was doing great, I was logging my exercise and thought that my routine was good... then I saw Coach Nicole's dailySpark article about her least favorite day to work out. It gave me the idea to actually log my exercises in a monthly calendar format as well as logging them in My Fitness here on Spark.

So I wrote down what I did on each day, did a big X through days that I did jac... Tue, 3 Mar 2009 13:58:18 EST I got myself a reward, and signed up for the 5k! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1833704 Since I was within 1.5 lbs from losing 20 lbs, I decided to buy myself my reward a little early (it was only fair... my last reward was VERY late considering when I achieved it... should have been in November and I only just bought my free weights a month ago)

Anyways... my 20 lb reward was.... a new workout outfit! I bought myself pants and a zip-up jacket! It will be perfect for my 5k at the end of May, which I signed up and paid for today!

So now it's official... I'm... Sun, 1 Feb 2009 01:07:18 EST Reflections... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1725557 Today's bootcamp bonus challenge was to create a new blog... so here goes.

I have been working my butt off this whole bootcamp challenge, doing videos (almost) every day, working my cardio at the gym 8 days out of the last 15 since I joined the gym, which I think is pretty good. I've only had 2 days in the last 18 where I've done absolutely nothing at all... a pretty good track record I think 104 considering that before bootcamp day 1 I had been M.I.A. from Spark, and do... Wed, 21 Jan 2009 18:53:00 EST My goals for weight loss & fitness future. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1700759 First and foremost, I want to lose weight. I want to be the weight I was before I got pregnant... and then lose a little more. I want to get my body into shape so that if Bryce and I decide that we would like another child, I won't have to think about whether I'll be stuck with the "baby weight" from our 1st.

I want to fit into the dress pants I bought when I was 2 months pregnant... and then I want to call them my "fat pants" and have to buy new ones. 9

I w... Wed, 14 Jan 2009 22:31:17 EST January 2009 New You Bootcamp stats http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1666724 Ooops Jan 26 realized I've been measuring my waist in the wrong place.... making it a bigger measurement than a "true" waist measurement. I've been measuring under my belly button, around my "flab" and I should have been measuring in my narrowest area (above my belly button). BUT I am going to keep measuring in the same place even if it's wrong, I can still gauge improvement if my flab gets smaller ;)
My real waist measurement is 32 inches, but I'm keeping measuring where I have been for...
