It didn't exactly snap, but all the muscles in it just gave out.

I went swimming on Tuesday, and tried to push my legs much harder than I usually do. Later that night, I was sore and could barely turn. Next morning, I had to fall out of bed because nothing bent and the back hurt. It literally had no strength in it to lift my torso.

It's getting better now, but for the first time in 16 weeks I won't get my weekly 3K calories ... Fri, 22 Jun 2012 10:53:22 EST April, pants and fitness tracker http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4858386 April was a binge month. I went over calories 50% of the days. Sometimes it was a sweet tooth, and sometimes I was just damn hungry.

Water, veggies improved. Cooking - not so much. Well I DID cook once a week, technically, but it was twice the first week and 2 breakfasts. That cooking thing is not working out, especially since getting fish + steamed broccoli or 4 ounce steak + beans and spaghetti squash from a nearby restaurant cost the same, have low amount of calories and taste ... Sun, 29 Apr 2012 22:57:04 EST New glasses and soccer http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4845646 Last week I went to the doctor for eye exam and to get sports eyewear. Since I started playing soccer, my regular glasses were in a constant danger, and one day it happened - I hit the ball with my head, glasses fell off and someone promptly stepped on them. They got bent, but did not break - which allowed me to drive home. Of course, at home I tried to straighten them "just a little bit" and snapped them right down the middle. Of course it all happened on a Friday night, so we ended up going... Sat, 21 Apr 2012 17:29:46 EST Dear March http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4819571 You've been a good month. There have been binges, there has been some emotional eating, and there were those darn girl scout cookies. But overall, things went very well.

I lost another 7 pounds, making it 15 pound loss in 2 months. In February, I manually changed the calorie range (ballparked it), so when the time came to update the range after March loss, the top end showed the same - 2,050. Not sure if that's right, or if I messed something up, so I manually adjusted it again to ... Wed, 4 Apr 2012 00:30:09 EST 100 mile swim club http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4816905 Unfortunately, my Y does not have one. Bummer.

Regardless, I'm going to swim 100 miles anyway, and award myself with something pretty at the end (will add this "something" later)

Have not figured out how to track this in Spark goals, so I'll just keep editing this blog until I reach it.

The lap length at my pool is 50 yards. 100 miles = 176,000 yards.

It takes 3,520 laps to swim 100 miles (whew!)

And so it begins! 237
<B... Mon, 2 Apr 2012 13:43:21 EST Thinking twice http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4803827 Everyone finds their own motivation. For some, quotes and posters have a strong driving effect. For some, it is the future image of themselves or their responsibility to the loved ones.

I'll admit, quotes and posters about perseverance and strength get me plugging along, thinking that one day I will have strengthen of those character traits. Because let's be real, stuff happens, we all overeat and miss workouts.

Last week I was at the Y getting dressed after the mornin... Sun, 25 Mar 2012 11:16:20 EST Midwest :( http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4767735 My thoughts are out to all people who have been affected by tornadoes today. The storm passed just south of us and all we got were strong winds and rain. Still, everyone left the office early and got ready for the basement dash at home.

Just watching the reports from the tri-state is pretty unsettling. In a matter of minutes people lost their houses, possessions, in some cases, their lives. Entire towns are flattened - I can't even imagine myself in those peoples' shoes.
<B... Fri, 2 Mar 2012 20:42:03 EST Month 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4764364 February went well.

Firstly, I am back to SP. That's an achievement itself 20

2/6 - 2/29

All the good stuff:

- I logged the food every day, every single thing I've put in my mouth. And I did not cheat, every single cookie and candy was entered.

- I started swimming again. I love it so much, I don't know why I stopped going last year.

- Dogs and I averaged 1.8 miles of walking per day. Dogs need to lose some weight, ... Wed, 29 Feb 2012 23:11:47 EST
