I've told some of my friends who are on a weight loss journey that this is a sure-fire method. Not only do you slow down your intake of foods, but you get to savor the flavor and texture of your foods as well which is very satisfying. I did keep a very few pieces though. Not because I wanted a reminder of what I use to wear, but because the pieces held good memories of a trip I had gone on before I lost the weight. Well, to start off, I am much happier with the way I feel about myself and how I look. But, on the health side, I've been able to stop taking medications like BP meds and hope to be taken off Cholesterol meds soon. I'm very proud of what I have achieved, and I'm determined to stay healthy for myself as well as my family. I try to eat something like oatmeal, yogurt, or a bagel thin with peanut butter before I go to my workout. And try to get some protein in within an hour after I workout. So far I have been doing good in getting that done. One thing I did was when I went to the grocery store I increased my walking speed some and carried my items I got in a bag instead of a cart.
