Had sweet and salty cravings for a week. One thing let to another with no tracking of the food. I kept exercising without tracking it either. So it has been a month!

I've decided not to give up.

So here I go again... Wed, 4 May 2011 21:52:15 EST Finally Catching On http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4097082 I didn't think too much about it. I didn't think all day about food. I had a decent breakfast this morning and during my tennis round robin felt a little shaky. I decided to go into the gym and get whatever snack they had available to stabilize my blood sugar and /or give me some energy. Bought a Luna Bar (never had one - didn't stress about it being 170 calories - just knew I needed to eat something). I ate one serving of leftovers from last night's dinner for lunch and a banana. Snacke... Wed, 16 Mar 2011 21:14:38 EST Honesty http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3983250 What happens when you lose a few pounds, post it and then gain it back! I'm sure I'm not the only one. I don't want to do the weigh in until I lose it again. I guess I need to insist that weigh in is on Sunday and I post whether I like it or not!
I'm trying to set up incentives for myself -but should I put that I have to keep the weight off for at least a week before I get my "prize". Any thoughts out there.... Wed, 2 Feb 2011 09:23:31 EST Emotional Eating http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3926860 Emotional Eating always sneaks up on me. It didn't really set in until the kids were in bed and I was on my own. I had already run my nutrition report after dinner because my intention was that if I craved something I would just drink herbal tea. I was within my range for all four categories. Then... Sat, 15 Jan 2011 09:04:16 EST Getting Stuck! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3920498 I'm so pleased today. I dipped just under 135. But sometimes I get stuck! I tend to get stuck at the 5s and 10s. I am so busy congratulating myself that I give myself little treats that are food related and then I get stuck at the 5 and 10 milestones of weight loss.

My status today is "slow and steady wins the race". I'm focusing on consistency and congratulating myself with non-caloric treats.

With the ice over the "snow pack" here in Georgia (no we've never been ab... Sun, 9 Jan 2011 08:37:59 EST Trying it out http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3881931 This site has so many options, articles and ways to participate that I'm just now trying out a blog entry. I don't really have much to say today, I just wanted to try out the blog feature to see if I could figure out how to post one.
I hope everyone is off to an outstanding New Year! 252 Sun, 2 Jan 2011 21:05:54 EST
