(Although I'm not yet thin. hah!) I'd been thinking I might let myself have "just one bag."

Whew! No one ever said changing who I am would be easy. I've been developing these bad habits for YEARS! Mon, 4 Feb 2013 14:51:48 EST DISNEY!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5213116 55 Days till we go to Disney World!!! I'm hoping to be another size down. I've never been, and I'm so excited AND overwhelmed.

We're staying at the Nickelodeon Suites, and I keep hearing you really need to stay at one of the Disney resort plus I see some bad reviews for the Nick Hotel (on things that matter to adults - kids seem to love it) so, I dunno.... but my daughter LOVES Spongebob and has always been a Nick kid as far as TV shows. We always loved that Nick Jr didn't ha... Fri, 18 Jan 2013 13:50:21 EST Ischemic Colitis http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5204148 After being in the hospital 12/31 - 1/2 with symptoms I won't burden you with, I had a colonoscopy and got the results back yesterday - - I have Ischemic Colitis. The doctor seemed so breezy about it. "Yes, it was what I thought. Ischemic Colitis. But, the polyp we removed WAS pre-cancerous so it's good we did the colonoscopy. You'll just need to come back for another one in five years." Soooo, I've never heard of Ischemic Colitis. Have you? Would you have thought it was anything to w... Sat, 12 Jan 2013 20:48:51 EST Uh... uh oh http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5178889 Up six pounds since Saturday! BAM!

I know why though. Let's see it could be waffles, fudge, cookies, coffee cake, lack of activity, etc etc etc. HAHA! SIX POUNDS though, wow!

Gotta start moving that scale in the other direction QUICK!
40 Fri, 28 Dec 2012 14:09:45 EST Merry Christmas to me and Bye-Bye Thirty Pounds! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5171147 Looks like I might hit my 30 lb weight loss for Christmas! What a gift to take control of my health, accomplishing things I never thought I could any more.
244 Wed, 19 Dec 2012 13:57:00 EST Thinking about re-visiting my goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5164247 When I joined Spark People, I set a goal weight. This goal wasn't based on BMI, healthy weight charts or advice of a physician. I'm 5'4". I'm a 40 year old woman. I set my goal weight at 150. I thought it was realistic, a goal I might be able to achieve by next Summer and stick to for at least a few months. At 150, I'm usually a size 10 or 12. At 140, I'm an 8 or 10. 140 is usually my goal for any weight loss, and still it's based on what I've been able to achieve before and what I co... Wed, 12 Dec 2012 10:51:01 EST A Christmas Challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5155154 I want to challenge everyone this Christmas to commit to leaving the issues behind - at least for just that day. All the problems, the family disagreements, the bills, the lawsuits, whatever it is... and we all have it.... let it be for just one day. There's no reason to talk about it. I want to challenge everyone to have a heart full of forgiveness and thankfulness. Remember that it's Jesus' birthday. Think about the magic and wonder of Christmas when you were a child.

Wi... Not for long, but enough to keep me from moving forward. This is going to be a tough one this holiday - any motivational speeches would be greatly welcomed! Wed, 28 Nov 2012 19:48:19 EST FIERCE!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5091868 I can't believe what my body is capable of... something I'd just assumed I'd never be able to do. I'm RUNNING! Well, I guess jogging is more like it with periods of walking in between, but I'm doing it!!! This 40 year old "big girl" with asthma is doing this! I'm in the middle of week four of this eight week program to get to a 5K, and I'm not missing a beat and not using an inhaler! No, it's not easy. It hasn't gotten easier, but its not been any harder than it was that first day I tri... Mon, 8 Oct 2012 20:57:22 EST
