Everytime I get off track and come back I am just so disappointed with myself and how far backwards I've gone. If I were talking to a friend I'd tell them to get over themselves and let them know they can still make a change and get all that back. But, for some reason, I can't get it through my own head.

Still - I am going to try. I did day one of NROL4W again and plan to ride my bike to my parents tonight... I have settled on a few and want to share since I'm excited plus I can keep the links here.

The first one is going to be the Let's Move 5k on April 26th. Fri, 28 Feb 2014 12:31:39 EST January Goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5577747 I am not usually one for new years resolutions because, frankly, I don't like committing to something for an entire year when situations may change. I had a ton of fitness goals last year and wasn't able to due to injury. This year, I'm going to try to make goals for a month. Some may carry over, some may not but it gives me a new start each month. So, here we go for January.

Run C25k 3 times per week
Use my push up progress app 3 times per week
On pushup days, use my... Wed, 1 Jan 2014 11:31:43 EST I think I'm back http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5577553 So I've been sidelined on my running for about a year while I figured out what was going on with my ankle. Now after about a year, multiple tests, medications, etc I am finally getting some relief. Turns out I have arthritis and now have to give myself injections once a week.

But, I've got some relief and feel like I am able to get back out and start running. I am so excited but am nervous about starting again in the snow and cold since I am completely starting from scratch. ... Wed, 1 Jan 2014 09:21:45 EST NROLFW starting weights http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5552860 First, I wanted to thank Pooks for getting me started again. If we didn't already agree on Friday there is no way I would have done it today. So thank you.

My starting weights for today are:
Squats - 70 lbs / 15 reps
Pushups - 8 on knees
Rows - 50 lbs / 15 reps
Step ups - I have to remove these or I will destroy my ankle
Prone Jacknife - 8 reps Fri, 29 Nov 2013 15:27:32 EST Ugh... NROLFW progress http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5551661 Okay, Pooks and I are starting NROLFW on Friday and she said she was going to take starting photos and I feel like it was only fair to do the same. This is so crazy embarassing... Mostly I am embarassed by myself. That I let myself get to this point. Remember the 30 pounds I lost last year - well, now we are down to -10 lbs lost. Ugh...

Wed, 27 Nov 2013 16:41:45 EST So here is what has been going on http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5483889 I know guys, I've been sucking at being a sparkfriend lately. I haven't been on because it is so much harder to offer encouragement and support when I haven't been doing the same things myself. Makes me feel like a hypocrite. Please accept my apologies.

Anyway, my swimming lessons start on Saturday and I've got my goggles, cap and suit so I should be all ready. Thu, 12 Sep 2013 17:44:53 EST swimming lessons http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5475896 So, I'm thinking of signing up for swimming lessons and was wondering what you'd recommend I bring for the first day. Obviously a suit but what else would I need? I'm looking for lessons since I can get from one side of the pool to the other but it isn't pretty. I'd like to be able to swim for fitness since my running has been sidelined so if you have any additional info for me please feel free to leave it.
Wed, 4 Sep 2013 16:14:41 EST Starting Over http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5453896 Well, I'm not proud but I'm not going to deny it any longer either. I need to start over. I have deleted all my goals and the dates I hit the weight goals before and am recommitting to myself. I'm going to do the Couch 2 5k program in order to get ready for my Warrior Dash next month. I am at an embarrassing level with my running and I'm not sure how much of it I can actually blame on my injury. But, the only way to do better is get back out there.

I've wrapped my ankle in t... I've already thought about cancelling a few times but I've already paid and there is wine after. I get so nervous in new situations plus a new activity and I am freaking out. Somebody please tell me I'm crazy or that I really should be nervous. Tue, 6 Aug 2013 13:41:11 EST Foam Fest http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5426432 I realized today that I never did a blog about the foam fest run I did back in June.

I went into the foam fest with the thinking that this was going to be a great trial run for the warrior dash in September. I wasn't really concerned with the running when I signed up but since I hadn't run since last October that ended up being a huge hurdle for me. Sun, 30 Jun 2013 08:46:20 EST Back again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5369154 Well, I'm back again after a week or so off. I've been having a really hard time breaking away during the day for my runs now that I'm working the two jobs. I've decided I'm going to make a list on popsicle sticks and every half hour or so I am going to pick one and do the exercise. 1 min plank, 10 pushups, squats, etc. Any of your favorites I should add or those you hate that are crazy helpful? Mon, 27 May 2013 10:10:45 EST Recommiting to myself http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5354301 I have decided to recommit to myself and to my health. I am also going to do the Couch 2 5k program again. I know I can do it and there is no pressure and I feel like that will help me get back on the running bandwagon. It is tough to be supportive and offer advice when I am doing horribly. Sorry I haven't been a great spark friend lately!

But, it is warming up and I am able to run outside again so hopefully we'll be doing a lot better. So, here are my April goals.

Over 1000 fitness minutes
Run 3 times a week
Progress to Chin-Up Progression 3
Mon, 1 Apr 2013 11:16:43 EST Need some help... and a revelation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5293921 So first, since I know my SparkFriends are fantastic, I get to make my own title for my part-time job with a previous employer and I am looking for something great. As of today I am removing my fit bit link to my SP account. I feel like I have had a hard time getting back into daily exercising and I think my fit bit has been part of the problem. I've always been watching how many fitness minutes I've had and had a goal of over 1000 minutes. There is no way I have even gotten close to this in Dec, January or so far even this month. My fit bit adds in anything I do and has b... Tue, 29 Jan 2013 08:11:06 EST Here we go again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5224298 I've been fighting with myself for the past few weeks in order to stay on track and it was not going well. I fell into the trap that everyone does at some point where you start comparing results and dedication and made me feel like a failure. That was how I would start the day and led to another disaster of a day. So, I'm taking this weekend off and I'll start fresh on Monday. No tracking, no stress, no success/failure analyzing.

While I have been fighting myself I have still... I'm so jazzed after my workout and I have been cleaning a good bit of the day. Not the putting away clutter from the kitchen counter type cleaning but the deep cleaning. I found a bag we stuck in the hall closet when we moved in that had 3 things in it. That type of deep cleaning. Also working on the bathroom right now and going through all my old stuff. I do want to do another half while running the entire time but I felt like that was more of a recap on this years goals.

So, I'm writing it down, I want to do a Warrior Dash in 2013. I've already researched and there is one in Michigan in July. My plan is that I have 3 weekly goals - if I am complete each goal I get $2 a week for each one. If I succeed on all 3 I get $10. I really wanted to have all 60 pounds off by a year but that isn't going to happen. So instead of letting it get me down I'm going to make a list of the HUGE progress I've had over this time.

I am a runner
I have completed multiple 5k's and am training for a half-marathon
I've already run/walked the half-marathon distance so there is no re... Tue, 21 Aug 2012 09:26:05 EST 30 day blog challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5005343 Have you all seen this 30 day blog challenge going around SP lately? This has been driving me crazy and I need to point out why. For those of you who haven't I will include it here.

The few questions I have problems with are these:
Your favorite thinspo blog and why!
How do you feel about the terms pro-ana/pro-mia

Your favorite thinspo blog and why - This question just really makes... Tue, 7 Aug 2012 15:45:06 EST Ugh - Frustrated again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4999254 I am in such a weird mood today. I am easily annoyed (good thing my husband left for work or we would probably be divorced by the end of the day), don't feel like doing anything (working out, work, cleaning, even just sitting), and am really frustrated with myself.

Things I think can be contributing:
I just got a 2nd job because we are still having money issues and started yesterday.
My weight is fluctuating between 171 and 177. But I am not sure what is going on. I fe... Fri, 3 Aug 2012 09:26:21 EST Feeling better and a NSV http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4986667 So now that I'm done whining after yesterday I am back to focusing on the positives.

I did my 3 miles today but I did need to take a couple breaks because my heart rate was getting way too fricken high. At one point I thought I had a glitch because I was at 200. It was cooler but I think the heat and sun still had a ton to do with that. I'll push the breaks back a little farther and farther until I'm back to being able to do it straight.

Also, I had a pair of 14 jea... Wed, 25 Jul 2012 16:54:05 EST Motivation/bad mood/I don't know http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4985166 I don't know what is wrong with me lately. I think it all stems from my running. After my ankle was feeling better and I was able to run I didn't have a ton of time to get my endurance back up before we started hitting these 100 degree days. It has been over 2 weeks since I have gone running and I think it is starting to get to me. I went out today and had so much doubt in my head that I stopped after 1.3 miles. I don't know why I feel like it is okay to give into the doubt now. I've pu... Tue, 24 Jul 2012 17:31:02 EST
