JOY2425's SparkPeople Blog JOY2425's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community LITTLE CHANGES JUST A POUND A WEEK, EASIER THAN I THINK IT IS. REALLY. FOOD IS NOT THIS BIG BOOGY MAN WRAPPING HIMSELF AND SMOTHERING MY EVERY THOUGHT TO RELATE TO FOOD: YES, NO, GUILT, GOOD, BAD, EXCUSES, REPREVES, ETC.
I AM DOING GREAT! JUST LET MY MIND FOCUS ON THE GOOD. AND FIND OTHER INTERESTS BESIDES MEMEME !!! I ACCEPT ME FOR ME.
IN REALITY, MY little change is to not eat that white addictive stuff that is reeking havoc in the American diet-sugar. AND TO ADD TO THAT LITTLE CHANGE, NO EAT... Sun, 26 Mar 2017 20:54:14 EST Streak! Dare I? Ups and downs. But moving on to streaks.
Days without sugar. 7/2
Eating when hungry 7/2 386

7/7~~focus, Focus, FOCUS. Push, Push PUSH. Am I having a baby? Why does this seem like the harder I try, the harder it gets? Is my focus too much on sugar, therefore sugarful I am?

Ok, todays technique is the use of called, "Intentional Implementation". This is scientifically based evidence that if your goal is to replace the trigger/time with an intentiona... Sat, 2 Jul 2016 09:57:58 EST Pain and suffering Back pain has helped me to make a new resolve to take the next three months to lose weight. Now 195. Long-term goal is 160 in six months. By January 14 , I will have lost 5 pounds as a short-term goal. 15 to 1800 cal a day; 30 g of fat. Tracking , planning and exercise. Now, almost 1 year later, lost 15#, but recently up 5 for a total of 10. Cannot exercise. Activity increases swelling fingers and increases pain. Sitting around more is also so tempting to eat wrong foods! I bought a bag of... Thu, 11 Dec 2014 22:20:39 EST One Month's Success 1) I have returned and tuned in
2) Doing better at taking my vitamins...still am
2) Back to the gym >2x per week....yes 1 to 2
3) Found that yoga pigeon type poses and pyramid really helped my knees and hips and practicing at home a few times.
4) Learned I still get overconfident: when I begin to lose wt., I relax my resolve and give in. Or it could be that I really am ok where I am at....perhaps do not have a real resolve, but only a "keep it in check, but not really to l... Thu, 9 Feb 2012 20:58:50 EST This weekend - Eating Out I will rate my weekend from 1-5....3

NOTE FOR NEXT WEEK: PLAN!!!!!!

PLANNING IS IMPORTANT DURING TIMES THAT ARE MOST DIFFICULT. WEEKENDS AND NITES. 198 Sun, 15 Jan 2012 20:21:52 EST Weekends are for winners Weekends are where we get the "end of the week" exam. Will you pass? I almost gave in to the temptation of buying Klondike bars during my Fri nite grocery run, and believing I was strong enough to eat just one. I have believed that before and consumed all of them by Monday. But I don't want to restrict myself totally, and then perhaps becoming deprived and succumbing in weakness one day with a binge. So, I got a box of Lugi lemon ice/strawberry ice (cups). They are not as tempting as the cho... Sat, 14 Jan 2012 21:51:00 EST The Crafty Ways of the Mind I was glad that I had reinforced a healthy attitude toward food, to my co-workers when I received a compliment about how good my salad looked. It was scrumptious! I got it at a loca grocery store that sold salad by the pound. When I used to buy this salad, I only extracted from it the lightest items...however, this time I got exactly what I wanted, even though it was $5.99 a pound. I got alot of good greens, favorite selections, then topped it off with some great chunks of turkey! YUM. And I ... Thu, 12 Jan 2012 21:54:12 EST Concentrating your ATTENTION, and your EFFORT, on achieving a particular Outcome! ATTENDING TODAY BROUGHT FORTH MY EFFORT. THERE WERE ABOUT 5 CHALLENGES THIS EVENING, WHEN THE CRAVING THOUGHT CAME TO MIND TO GO INTO THE KITCHEN AND SEE WHAT I COULD FIND.......BUT EACH TIME I DID NOT SUCCUMB. THAT WAS THE EFFORT. IT FELT COMPLETELY UNNATURAL TO TELL MYSELF NO. AN OLD PROVERB GOES LIKE THIS: A CROW MAY LAND ON YOUR HEAD, BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ALLOW HIM TO BUILD A NEST THERE! SO, SHEW AWAY. HE WILL PROBABLY COME BACK AGAIN, USUALLY IN THE EVENINGS. I WILL HAVE TO SHEW HIM AW... Tue, 10 Jan 2012 23:00:17 EST Here I am Again... CONGRATULATIONS SELF....YOU HAVE NOT QUIT. AND HERE YOU ARE AGAIN. I REMEMBER A FRIEND SAID, "A DIET IS NOT SOMETHING YOU START, IT IS SOMETHING YOU FINISH".

~ I HAVE NOT FINISHED YET. LIKE FOCUSING ON THE FINISH LINE...A BEND HERE, A HILL THERE, OOPS, A FLAT STOPPED ME UNTIL I REPAIRED IT SUFFICIENTLY TO CONTINUE THE ROUTE.

HI!
