I will be back for updates soon. Sun, 28 May 2017 13:58:17 EST For me :) These past few months I've been on the Ideal Protein diet and had lost 40 lbs. I've been on the maintenance phase as of the first of August and I think I've gained about 4-6 pounds back, I was not really committed to this way of eating and did have days of cheats which definitely slow the weight loss. Although the reason for being on this diet was to lower my blood sugars which did cause a little difference with my A1c.
Now that my program is over (it was paid for by someone else) I'm t... Mon, 29 Aug 2016 11:26:08 EST 6 week goals So my Bariatrics wls group meeting was today and my goals for the next 6 weeks are to walk 1 mile at three times per week and to use my portion plate daily. Fri, 19 Jun 2015 10:25:31 EST Off :( Yes, I've been feeling off, unhealthy, unbalanced.
I had a HIDA scan this past Tuesday and it showed my gallbladder as having 11% function. So I am being scheduled to have it removed sometime in the next month. At first my primary doctor thought it might be an ulcer but since going to a Gastroenterologist, who thought it could be the gallbladder instead. I also am still scheduled to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy done too next month.
But in the mean time I am still having severe i... Fri, 24 Apr 2015 21:38:29 EST Willpower? It seems I don't have any will power these days. I need to stay off the carbs but they seem to win and go down my throat. Does eating 80/20 work? cause it seems like that is what my days are like, and I haven't gotten on the scale yet.
Ok, tomorrow is a new day and I pray that GOD will help me get through it.
521 Sat, 28 Mar 2015 21:48:18 EST New Year :/ Although it didn't start off so well, I am a survivor. One of my adult children was wayward and into drinking and drugs and has since stopped and is now looking in to going into a rehab center. But during the months of December and January our lives were in shambles, but it's something I had faced before when my husband was drinking (he's 23 years sober). I took a lot of prayer and faith to get through those times.
My weight had fluctuated within 3-5 pounds and I have had few weeks of se... I did attempt a local 5K a few weeks ago, but I didn't complete it, as my younger sister had an asthma attack and low blood sugar and I didn't want to leave her. We did just about 2 miles though on a course that was more of a hiking trail. I have done this course before and had completed...
