So got on the the good old scale to confirm my light feeling and bam up a pound!! Weird right?! Just started being serious on Jan.16th so not a long time yet . Not down on myself at all , I don't care what the scale says today cause I feel great and it probably is a pound of mussel!! In a few weeks though if it's still going up ha don't think I will be quite so positive lol!! Wednesdays are my favorite, have cardio kickboxing at noon and zumba tonight ! Still working on the 3... Wed, 25 Jan 2012 12:43:06 EST Day 4 and new foods So on day 4 of the 30 day shred . Had so much energy after doing the 20 min. level 1 I did 20 min. level 2 as well !!! WOO HOO! I feel great . Went to my first zumba class last night ... I loved it!! I recommend anyone and everyone to try it , so fun!! So figs not my cup of tea either they can go in the trash with the plain yogurt lol Also tried an avocado with some garlic, lemon and a tablespoon of salsa and put it on my steamed atlantic salmon and wow was that was delicious! Even though I have been at the "start" before I'm not going to get down on myself, just move forward!! I love the 30 day shred so starting day 1 again for my exercise and so far eating well , so all in all Monday has been a success!! Woo Hoo ! I have been eating clean and no alcohol for over two weeks . I feel great except my knees are a little sore but I can deal. Still on level two and except for the squats with the v raises (hate them) I'm doing well with all the moves. <BR> Can't wait to see what level three has to offer!! <BR> Went for my first bike ride of the year today. What a great day it is with all the sunshine woo hoo!!! I'm going to try and bike at least twice a week ... This 30 day thing is going to be very challenging for me because on top of it I'm trying not to drink for 30 days lol No I don't have a drinking problem but every weekend there is some function or some party were I like to have a few social drinks. She has been in a vet hospital in a different city than where I live , so a lot of hotels and a lot of eating out. I tried the first few days to make good choices like two poached eggs on dry whole wheat toast with tomato slices for breakfast , for lunch chicken salad no dressing and so on but after a few days of stress I failed my self and started eating poorly . I have changed so much in three years I'm proud but when will it ever be easy??? Pretty sure it never will be ... that makes me sad! Why is it some people seem to have all the will power and motivation in the world and others (like me) struggle everyday?? My husband just came home from work really late and decided he did not want the dinner I made so he cooked his own . The problem with this is it's 10 pm and he's not cooking anything healthy and it smells so good and I have been sitting here with the growls for a few hours trying to ignore them !! Excited but scared I won't reach my goal of 20 pounds gone before we leave. I have not weighed myself in a long time I feel a little lighter but I guess I won't know until I weigh in!! Then when we are in vegas am I going to go nuts and eat and drink everything I see or am I going to put what I've learned to the test ? The only support is from my sister Kena she keeps me going. It's true what they say surround yourself with positive people it makes it so much easier. I find that most of my friends are overweight or like to drink alot . I wonder if this means I have to move on and not be their friends anymore?
