Sun, 19 Feb 2017 16:28:10 EST Being more consistent As I was just reviewing my spark page, I am realizing that I have been on Sparkpeople for nearly 8 years. That's a long time to be here and not make any more progress than I have made. In 8 years I have lost 23 pounds. 23 pounds is quite a number but it shouldn't have taken me nearly 8 years to lose that amount of weight. <BR> It's time for me to be more consistent in what I do with Sparkpeople and in my daily life. I have been on it every day since we purchased it except for one day. My husband is not quite so faithful I don't think. He's supposed to be using it for cardiac rehab but since I still work and he doesn't, that means that I can't monitor him 24 hours a day. Pretty soon we'll get him going on a more regular schedule. I keep trying to explain to him that it would also help his blood glucose numbers, but that hasn't sunk in yet either I guess. I'll... I found a Greek Yogurt that I really like and it has lots of protein in it, so that is a good thing. <BR> <BR> Last weekend we also purchased a treadmill. It came today so now I can begin reading and getting back to getting motivated to lead a more healthy life, especially in the exercise department. We don't do too badly at our house with the food (even though I sometimes eat too much!), but the exercise is more difficult to get in - especially with the interesting winter and spring we've had in Minnesota this year. Trying to do things for 4 others (all men) in our office plus my own work can be very demanding some days, like today. I had to stop at the grocery store on my way home from work so I had some walnuts between work and the store. There's a lot of fat in walnuts!!!!! Today was very hectic and there was absolutely no time to exercise other than the normal running back and forth in the office at work. However, I did do better on the calorie count today - about 500 calories less than yesterday. Still over the goal for the day in calories, but I'm getting back down there. Some of the "bad" foods are just about gone so that should help out the situation. I know there really aren't any "bad" foods, but there are...
