I've uploaded some to my sparkpage. The pictures show the story of me being on a weight roller coaster. I'm not sure what to say at this point. I've lost a total of 38 pound, went from a size 18 to 11 and from 34.1 BMI to 28.1 BMI. I've accomplished a lot. It hasn't been easy, but it hasn't been as difficult as I had expected. I know I shouldn't feel this way, but I still feel like I'm a fat person. People at wo... Thu, 1 Jul 2010 23:12:21 EST How much have you lost? A friend an I threw around the idea of training for a half mnarathon. I gues the talk inspired me! Mon, 8 Mar 2010 17:21:13 EST I did it! - MS Climb http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2966317 Today I raced up 30 flights of stairs in order to help raise money for MS. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I started out way to fast. My legs started feeling very heavy after I had only went up to about level 5. Then I began to feel out of breath and was breathing heavily. Even with all of this, I still made it to the end and finished with a total time of 10 minutes and 7 seconds. I was determined to finish even if it meant crawling up to the top. Thank goodness it didn... I began a new workout video the day before yesterday. It really kicked my rear. I almost cried when it was over. Not sure if that's because I was so tired or because I was proud of myself. It also may have been because I am really tied of being overweight. It hurts me to see that I am considered obese according to my BMI. I'm so ashamed of the fact that I let myself go downhill this far and I have to do some... Sat, 20 Feb 2010 18:04:29 EST Dancing My Body Thin http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2801315 For 3 days in a row I have done the complete Dance Your Body Thin Workout video. On Sunday and Monday I woke up early to workout. This is a HUGE accomplishment for me since I am not at all a morning person. Today (wednesday) I had to choose between getting at least 8 hrs of sleep and working out in the morning. I chose to get my 8 hrs of sleep and just to move my workout to the evening, which ended up being fine. My goal is to do the workout video (50 minutes) at least 4 times a week (20... Tue, 26 Jan 2010 19:57:14 EST eating better http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2754994 I'm staying within my calorie, fat, protein, and carb ranges most of the time. I am paying a lot more attention to what I eat and how much I am eating. The funny thing is that I can eat dessert sometimes and it's no big deal. This is so much better than a DIET. Tue, 1 Dec 2009 10:10:13 EST Being Sick Sucks http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2490785 My family has been sick for the past week or so. I was the last one to get it after taking care of everyone else for a few days. We were out of work and school for a few days during the worst of it. Because of sickness, I have not hiked in a while. Tue, 29 Sep 2009 13:04:30 EST Hiking http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2435212 I have become infatuated with hiking and learning about the history of a local National forest. This weekend, I hiked at it on Saturday (approx 6 miles) and Sunday (approx 3.5 miles) and bought two books to learn more about it. Mon, 28 Sep 2009 11:54:15 EST Weight Gain http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2416421 It has been exactly 2 months since my last blog entry. Also, I have not logged my weight loss progress for the past 2 months. My weight gain has a lot to do with me not staying on track as well as I had in the past. I have committed to eat well and exercise as often as I can, but over the past couple of months I have not done a very good job of this. Mon, 15 Jun 2009 11:25:14 EST I've got the blahs http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2142938 Well, I was doing good and was up to 18lbs lost. For the past 2 weeks, I have not done very well with consistently working out and eating well. I was on medication because of what the doctor thought was a bite of some sort that I got while hiking. The meds made me feel drained of energy and sick to my stomach with a constant headache. Now, I have finished with the pills and hope to get back to my normal routine becuase I am 2lbs heavier (16lbs total lost.) She still had a little more weight to loose to meet her goal, but was doing very well so far. This conversation made me think hard about trying it myself. I haven't called to make an appointment or anything, but am still seriously considering it. I would like to do a little research and find... We had to eat what was available and when it was available and we had no other choice because we were in a "confined" area. We had burgers, lots of potatoes, fries, hashbrowns, a little fruit, and just a bunch of junk. It was horrible. I have been over a month without sodas and I had a soda. Tue, 31 Mar 2009 17:57:42 EST Personal Information: http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1925469 My weight seems to jump up and down. I'm really tired of this weight roller coaster and have decided to do something about it. The last time that I "dieted", I went from 206 pounds to 184 pounds. Then I gained that and more back (up to 211.5). Now, I'm trying to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly in an effort to loose down to around 150 to 155, with an ultimate goal of weighing 135. The last time that I weighed that, I was in my first few years of high school, so this is going to ... Wed, 25 Mar 2009 19:44:28 EST Deceiving Food Labels http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1905164 You really have to watch out for deceiving food labels. For example, on a can of Campbell's condensed Minestrone soup it says in big letters on the front of the can "Calorie Classics 90 Calories" and in small letters "per serving". Then when you turn the can around and look at the back nutrition label, there is a total of 2.5 servings in the can. Mon, 23 Mar 2009 12:49:04 EST Patience http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1903039 I've gotten off to a pretty good start. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow that I started on sparkpeople. I signed up the evening before, but began on March 16th. So far, I've lost 5.5lbs, but I am not a patient person.
