Wed, 13 Feb 2013 13:13:56 EST Presents in the mail! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5195726 Today my heart rate monitor came in the mail with my Sparkpeople cookbook. I am excited! I used the monitor during jazzercise today. My average was 138 and my highest was 165. Turns out I am supposed to be between 130-157. So that felt pretty good that I was in the right zone.

It feels good to do something well. I had so much fun tonight and busted butt.

I went thru an angry spell over the weekend.. I logged today what I remembered.

I really liked the comment about every day being day 1.

Tonight having friends over for a big dinner and party for the holiday. So that will be lots of fun.

There was a lot of stress yesterday in dealing with the step son. So that didnt help things.

My jazzercise instructor won on a TV show last night. Mon, 31 Dec 2012 11:26:00 EST Day 1 or 48 days left... depends on how you look at it... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5180656 So back on the wagon with logging food. Since not being on the site, I have been umm... nonexistant in my food logging. Even with the fitbit ap AND the SP ap on my phone. I just have some kind of mental block in using my phone. So... back to that...

There are 48 days left until the cruise. So I am all over that..

I cannot wait to go on the cruise. Sun, 30 Dec 2012 09:25:40 EST Back and better than ever http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5176977 So finally able to post again here. My laptop died a very dead death. So for Christmas my Hubs got me a Chromebook. I have been going to jazzercise a few times a week and have been doing really well. I love going. My favorite instructor is on the Be the Boss show coming up Sunday. So excited to see if she won her own franchise! GO SOPHIA!

I was down to 246 and now back up to 250 again. I have not been good with food. I am solidly into a size 20 jeans now. Christmas a lot of family... I think I over did it today with jazzercise and a hike. I had over 9500 steps by 12:30!

Just wonder if I'm doing something wrong form wise or I'm too big for my knees to support in that much rigorous activity... A visit to the doc might be in order I'm guessing. Motrin only took the edge off today...

No pain no gain... Right?

I'm still waiting for the part of the movie where the ... I guess when starting at a 24 a few months ago its not so bad. I was so excited to put those pants on. I really didnt think they would work. But sliding those on... and buttoning them up... and then just kinda staring like.. these arent tight... These... FIT!

Such an amazing feeling. I lost 2.5 lbs last week during birthday week... I went to jazzercise 3 times last week and am on target to do it again this week. ... Tue, 16 Oct 2012 21:31:12 EST Fitbit = happy http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5097909 The fitbit is freaking awesome. The graphs and output are really great. I feel like I can actually get a realistic gauge on my caloric output to better judge what my input needs to be. I have been using their tracker and food log instead of here because its just easier and again it tells me how many calories I need to eat based on my activity levels. I really love how it tracks my sleep as well. Its funny that I get more sleep than I thought I did.

We also booked a cruise for Febr... Sat, 13 Oct 2012 20:12:00 EST Happy Birthday to me! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5094555 So... for most of the year I thought I was 33 somewhere I lost count. I am now officially 35. Yay me.

Hubs got me a fitbit and boy is it overwhelming reading all the info. I hope its as cool as it seems!

Went out to dinner tonight and ate like a freaking crazy person. I dont think all in all it was too bad. I had osso bucco which is a pork shank... garlic mashed potatoes and split a creme brulee with my daughter.

My daughter gave me a dozen roses which are ... Wed, 10 Oct 2012 21:36:30 EST Change perspective http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5076307 So this mirror at work in the locker room I have mentioned it before. It was angled so that it made everyone stretch out. So it was like the goal mirror. Well it got moved and now it bends the other way so it makes you look short and fat.

Just made me think that sometimes its all about perspective. Some days just gotta stretch the mirror the other way and look at something. Just kinda funny is all. Somehow all of this seemed more profound in my head. I guess I will mull it around m... Wed, 26 Sep 2012 21:02:18 EST Sick Kid.. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5076291 So the kid is sick... the Hubs is sick.. and I am nursing a sore throat. ARG! All this needs to stop. I don't know how to kick it out of our house, but it needs to just go away. Got some cough drops at the store tonight. We had hamburgers and fries which was nice. Took the dog for a loooong walk. Mack and I walked 1.34 miles tonight. I really like the map your walk thing on the fitness tracker.

Trying to find time to go to another jazzercise class this week. There is one tomorrow ... Wed, 26 Sep 2012 20:46:13 EST Jazzercise & Ramblings about lifestyles. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5073595 So PT is over and now I am kinda workout-less. I wont make time to do it at home... its like a mental block for me. So my friend told me about how Jazzercise was free today at where her daughter goes for dance class. She invited me to go with her so she would go. I was like.. OK. here we go. :) So I went and it was a blast. Back in HS I was all into country line dancing, I was on the winterguard/dance team and it was like made me so happy. Made me feel like a fat blob... but a dancing fat blo... Mon, 24 Sep 2012 21:31:03 EST Big week! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5059465 So my laptop is back in the land of the living.

The big news of the week is that our family has grown by 1 member :) We adopted a dog this week. He is a 9 year old jack russell terrier. He is just so awesomely sweet. He is so small - he is maybe 17 lbs. His name is Mack.

The best thing about Mack is that he LOVES to go for walks. Loves them. So its like our own little thing to do... go for a walk. So its great to have a little walking buddy and something to keep me mov... Fri, 14 Sep 2012 18:06:01 EST Laptop - dead http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5044551 Stupid laptop cord broke. So relegated to my phone till a new cord gets here. At least that has interwebs. Tonight made meatloaf muffins for dinner found on SP. had that, cottage cheese and green beans. Then a small brownie as a treat. Ended the day at 1523 calories which is in range. Not too good on fiber. Why is fiber so hard. My breakfast burrito has 12 g fiber... But then didn't get much more than that.

How do you get in more fiber? Tue, 4 Sep 2012 20:27:55 EST Pictures are worth so many words... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5038060 I hate pictures of me. I always looked at them and was like that is seriously not me because there is no way I am that big. I don't feel that big. So I was looking at my vacation photos from the week. I was like... that's seriously me? I look great! This one actually kinda hit home like.. Wow. I finally see it. I see the hard work paying off. It feels good. It feels like a relief that even though the scale is not moving... the results are clearly visible.

<img src="http://photos... Wed, 22 Aug 2012 12:37:39 EST This weeks challege http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5007200 So its funny that this of all weeks is for the challenge to eat good breakfasts... Usually I am pretty good. This week has been rough in the evenings. I have had the stuff in my fridge all week to make breakfast burritos... Have yet to make them. Sunday I was sick all day... Monday I ate bad salad and it had me in bed writhing in pain... Last night I just plain forgot... So tonight is the night!

This morning breakfast was pretzels, crasins, and a stick of string cheese. I did NOT ... Wed, 8 Aug 2012 19:41:58 EST Off the face of the earth... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5003489 I fell off the face of the earth for the past few weeks. Life just got really hectic and SP just kind of got pushed down the priority list. My weight loss efforts did slightly, but not as much as they would have in the past. I will say I gained about 3-4 lbs the one week due to my period and also the beer festival and bad eating with friends in town... but I lost it the next week so I feel pretty good about my resolve in that.

So my goal for this week is to really get back to the... Mon, 6 Aug 2012 12:59:05 EST Pictures & the magic mirror http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4980516 So I took some advice and an example of someone else and decided to post my pictures as of yesterday. Sat, 21 Jul 2012 13:11:40 EST Never forget... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4980481 I posted this on a message board and wanted to make sure I remember this...

I guess I am not really past that part of the "old" me that reaches for food for comfort. For example when my husband was gone I sat and ate 1900 calories worth of pizza. Life gets busy and I go for the quick and easy food fix. The "new" me though came out on the Saturday where it was like.. Ok.. I blew it yesterday, but that was yesterday. Came back with a new attitude and didnt let the weakness carr... Sat, 21 Jul 2012 12:45:07 EST Confused http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4973435 So went to the nurse manager and I am down 7 lbs since I was there in May. She told me to try this other ap Lose it which supposedly has more detail and really good caloric ranges. The caloric range here is like 1250-1650... and that one says 1893... and thats losing 2 lbs a week. So i am really confused. Do I try this other tracker for a bit to see if raising the calories gets me out of this stupid plateau? I cant find a way to recalculate my goals here.. I am confused. Mon, 16 Jul 2012 20:15:41 EST Be prepared. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4971583 So this week is nutso for me. I have something every day after work that will keep me out till 7 or later. So I found through Pinterest (if anyone wants an invite let me know) this listing of 5 days of crockpot dinners that sound - Amazing.
www.savingyoudinero.com/2012/06/12/1
-hour-1-mess-5-crock-pot-meals/

Not sure how "healthy" they all are, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary or to be too bad as I was assembling the bags with my daughter. So we will see ... Sun, 15 Jul 2012 17:20:47 EST Jiggle, Jiggle, Jiggle YEAH! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4971120 So I crack myself up... I do this regularly because I am that much of a goofball. So with my husband gone and the house to myself and the kitties... I was listening to Pandora and a section of upbeat songs came on - Starships, something by Pitbull, and some other up temp song.. so I decided to have a solo dance party and bop around the living room like a complete moron. And i did.. 10 minutes of cardio. This morning I watched on youtube some basic zumba steps. I did along with it. Thats reall... Sun, 15 Jul 2012 11:08:46 EST Progress and a little NSV http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4964554 When I first started PT, I could not get up in a plank. Yesterday not only did I get up.. .I got up and held then for about 5 seconds 4 times! Today I did 5.

It made me feel so good to know that I have developed that much core strength in the past 3 weeks.

The therapist says that I have done so well and she is proud of me. She said I come in there and bust my ass and not just go through the motions. I really work at it. It made me feel really good.

Focusing... Tue, 10 Jul 2012 21:26:51 EST No pain! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4957159 So today I didnt notice any achiness or pain in my back at all today. So this PT is actually working. She added 2 new things this week and some stretches. I am really loving it though. I think she likes that I bust butt when I am there.

The scale is not moving.. that is highly annoying. My clothes fit better and I got comments on how it looks like I am losing. Just hoping that once my "cycle"ends the scale will drop a bit. Thu, 5 Jul 2012 21:41:18 EST Fruit http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4946852 So my husband says that when you dip strawberries in ff chocolate pudding strawberries are no longer a fruit - but dessert.

I think as long as both are counted - then what does it really matter.

I think he was just jealous I ate the entire quart of strawberries and he only had 1.

Silly hubs. Mon, 25 Jun 2012 21:48:23 EST Batting practice http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4940629 So today for the first time I went out with my husband and son when they played baseball. I mostly was in the outfield chasing the balls. I even got to hit a few times and did pretty well. It was a lot of fun and we were out in the 90 degree heat for about an hour and a half. It was good exercise, and it was FUN.

Yesterday the hubs and I went for a 20 minute walk around the neighborhood.

Tomorrow I have PT again.

I feel like I am getting a TON more activity... Sun, 24 Jun 2012 20:20:47 EST Hurts so good... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4935436 Today I am so very sore. My abs are killing me. I have a cold/allergy thing going on and every so often I break into coughing/sneezing fits. It SUCKS! Its like being punched from the inside. I just sucked down lots of water and took motrin to make the pain stop.

So I went bra shopping today. I got 4 new bras and totally caught the woman off guard. She measured me.. and was like.. you are measuring this, but you dont look that big! I was like.. well I am. So I got 2 regular bras an... Wed, 20 Jun 2012 22:18:34 EST Physical Therapy Day 1. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4933721 I think I am going to have a serious love hate relationship with my physical therapist. I hurt - everywhere after today. She almost made me cry... but not in pain but in general frustration at things I could NOT do. Things that seemed really simple... like the plank position. Nope. I could NOT get there. And then this exercise which was like in an extended push up position and then walking with my hands over the little half ball thingie. I couldn't do that without having to put my knees down ... Tue, 19 Jun 2012 20:11:37 EST Pure joy http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4913810 My daughter is 14. Shes crazy... and the best part of my night is shower time. Because that girl gets in the shower and blasts the radio and signs at the top of her lungs the entire time. You can hear it through the whole house. She can't sing.. but doesn't care she loves it. So its just great to hear her just let loose and have a good time doing something as mundane as showering. The kid lives for her music. Before she broke her ipod we were sitting out here and she was singing her typical K... Tue, 5 Jun 2012 20:42:17 EST Added my first recipe... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4908006 So I added my first recipe to here... and I am not exactly sure I did it right, but whatever works. :) They are yummy little things!

recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detai
l.asp?recipe=2128998

Good way to kill the rest of the strawberries I got at the farmers market yesterday.

So I am glad its finally the weekend. Short week, but not short on work. Wanted to post something more than that, but I really dont have anything to really say. Fri, 1 Jun 2012 20:53:29 EST Beer & Wings http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4906436 So today I didnt do so good food wise, but I had a really good day overall. And I still intend to get some fitness in today to offset the really yummy relaxing dinner I had tonight at Bdubs. Just some quality time with the hubs. It was really nice the two of us. Three years ago today was our first date. :) Funny to think that we have known each other 3 years and married for almost half of it. When you know its right... you know its right and go for it. :)

So I told the hubs that I... Thu, 31 May 2012 20:40:46 EST Pizza! Pizza! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4904871 Took the family out to the local pizza joint. Now... any other time... this would have been scary for me. But I knew it was coming and planned my day around it.. was careful at lunch with my fats and calories (had Subway for lunch). Ordered a salad and ate that before I even put a piece of the heavenly pizza on my plate. Minor snafu taking a second breadstick, but it rewarded me with being pretty much hollow inside and not satisfying. I skipped the beer - which never would have happened befor... Wed, 30 May 2012 20:17:40 EST Monday or Tuesday? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4903390 Today certainly didnt feel like a Tuesday. i was busy at work the moment I unlocked my office door! Month end is always much fun. I have to get everything done... and then once the month ends - then I have all kinds of stuff to do for the close. I really do love being an accountant. I know that sounds silly... but I really do. I am at peace at work if that makes any sense. Tue, 29 May 2012 21:05:09 EST Positive Reinforcement http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4900460 Since really watching my carbs and staying in the range that I am alloted I have lost some serious weight. Like 9 lbs since Tuesday. It felt good to see that on the scale - real good. And honestly it hasn't been that drastic of a change. I just cant sit and eat a whole pizza.... not that I dont really want to sit and eat a whole pizza. After my awful day today I wanted nothing more than to go to Jets and get myself a small pizza and just demolish all that yummy goodness... and being alone ton... Sun, 27 May 2012 22:06:38 EST Shingles http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4896782 So to add to the frustration of cutting back on carbs... the painful rash on my rear end turned out to be shingles. It honestly feels like I have a hot rock imbedded in my tush. It really sucks. So it really explains why I have been so incredibly tired and cranky the past week. So at least I know what I am dealing with... but there is nothing I can really do about it. Just kinda grin and bear it. If the pain doesnt go away or gets unbearable I need to go back to the doctor.

She al... I can make excuses to why I didnt get as much exercise in as I wanted... or why I ate too many foods that were too high in carbs and calories... baseball... I didnt feel good... too much stress with work... etc. But the sheer fact of the matter is that I didnt put 100% effort and commitment into it. So that is super frustrating. I left with 2 n...
