I took my GD, Chanel to a birthday party yesterday afternoon at the skating rink and she's 5 and skated for the first time, using one of those PVC "walkers". Why didn't they have those for us when we were kids??? LOL I told her the Hurricane was coming, so when we left the rink at 4 PM, and went outside it was windy. She looked up at the sky and sa... Sun, 8 Oct 2017 11:08:58 EST I'm back after falling and breaking my femur. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6390273 On June 10th, I was in a parking lot with my GD, and she ran in front of me stepping on my foot just as I stepped off the sidewalk into the street and I fell and broke my femur. I was wearing $50 Sperry's but they were "flip-flop sandals" none the less.
The doctor said "The femur is the largest bone in the body and very difficult to break, but you have a heinous fracture." It was broken near my hip bone, so they put in a screw and a titanium rod down to my knee where there is another ... Fri, 21 Jul 2017 14:52:56 EST My 8th Sparkversary. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6014070 Sometimes I wonder why I'm still here, but then I remind myself if I hadn't stayed here all these years, I'd probably be about 314# instead of the 214# I started at back on October 12, 2007. That was horrible for me to be that fat. My back hurt so bad. So, this past year, I'm once again not at my goal, but I'm at 161# and I've actually stayed down here around the 160# level for the past four months. For me that is good. I haven't been below 160# in 25 years. So I know it is a "set point... Mon, 12 Oct 2015 23:29:52 EST Day 377: More Malaysia pictures of Nick's trip. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1528312
picasaweb.google.com/nneisler/MoreMa
laysia102308#

The open lot is where they plan to build a new building in Malaysia, so that is what they are out looking at. Nick is my oldest son, and he's a really good guy. If he does move to Malaysia, I'll go visit then. He said he figures he will have to go back again in December, so he probably will spend Christmas there.
Those twin-towers are two of the world's tallest buildings.
Thu, 23 Oct 2008 12:39:55 EST Day 372: More pictures Nick in India http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1518534
picasaweb.google.com/nneisler/200810
11Hderabad#

Some other pictures of India. He is helping to get a new office opened for the Movie Company in Malaysia, as they already have one in India, where 40 people are working. Bollywood makes 700 movies per year, so the film business is huge there.

Sat, 18 Oct 2008 02:11:37 EST Day 364: Nick's trip to India http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1505162
picasaweb.google.com/nneisler/200810
09MalaysiaToHyderabad#

My DS, Nick is on a business trip to India, where they already have an office and Malaysia, where he is helping to open a new office for the Movie Company he works for in Los Angeles. He has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Columbia U. in NYC, and an MBA from UCLA and has worked for the company for 11 years. He spent six weeks in India a few years ago, so he has seen the country. He was impres... Fri, 10 Oct 2008 12:50:06 EST Day 256: Maggie is home from SPAIN. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1290930 My dd, Maggie, got home from her study-aboard trip to Spain. Saturday I just had a horrible day worrying about her coming home and I grazed my way through 5200 calories. How do I know? Because I logged every single one of them. The photo is of Adam's new Suzuki, which he got this past week and that has been another real stress for me. Yes, I can hear my mother saying "You won't know what it is to worry until you have children of your own!!" Yes, Mother, you were RIGHT.

Than... Tue, 24 Jun 2008 14:59:10 EST Day 246 - Medical School http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1270547 This is my handsome son, Nathan, about 3 years ago when he was on vacation in San Diego and in the hot tub (he had trunks on.) He'll be 24 next month. He graduated last year with a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia U. in NYC and he'd been studying for the MCAT test to apply to medical school. It has been stressful to say the least and he took a review class for four months. WELL, he got a 34 on the test (45 is perfect)!!!!! SO, everything is wonderful and he is now applying t... Sat, 14 Jun 2008 22:47:32 EST Bone Density Test http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1246956 I went for my Bone Density Test and for my Mammogram this morning. It had been four years since I'd had a BDT, and the tech said "Your bones have IMPROVED, so what have you been doing differently?" I told him I'd been doing SOME exercise since I found Sparkspeople. He said "Well, it has helped your bones."
W O N D E R F U L.
I know I will keep being a SPARKER!! My mammogram looked okay to the tech, and she said the doctor would read it later and send me the results, but she show... Tue, 3 Jun 2008 13:25:35 EST Day 202 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1180611 282 I had to have my physical today and their scale is always two pounds heavier than at the gym, so I was 183#. I've seen this doctor when my dd has had to go to him, but I haven't seen him. He's a civilian doctor at the Navy Hospital, because so many of the Navy doctors are over in Iraq. He told me he was very happy to have the job and he is a very pleasant man. He told me I needed to have my mammogram and mentioned that his wife had had breast cancer at 47 and it was caught ... Thu, 1 May 2008 16:42:19 EST Day 14-193 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1160545 Well, I am on Day 14 working toward the second part of my first year as a SPARKER, so I'm happy. Signed in every single day for 193 days, but this is a new phase, like my second wind, or shifting to second gear now. I've lost 30# so far and SPONDULEX my inner brat tells me that I could have lost 60# and I haven't done nearly as good as I SHOULD have. I know not to listen to SPONDULEX and "Shoulds" don't mean anything. They just cause us to "Should all over ourselves." So, I will look tow... Tue, 22 Apr 2008 18:17:43 EST Day 4-183 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1138028 My first six months is behind me and now I have six months until I'm 59. I remember always loving April 12th, because then I was "so many years and ONE-HALF." Well, now 58 1/2 doesn't have that appeal, but I sure am healthier than I was 1/2 year ago. I'm so thankful that I found SPARKPEOPLE and I can focus on getting to my goal. I love the idea of being THIN once again. I'm a thin person, and always have been so I'll be ME again.
I'm still working on my ZUMBA music from YouTu... Sat, 12 Apr 2008 18:03:19 EST Day 1-180 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1131445 This is Day 180 that I've signed into Sparkpeople, but my #1 Blog entry. I hadn't wanted to do a Blog, but I'm at Stage 3, Step 5 on the Diet and it says Do a Blog. So, I'll start one.
1:46 P.M. Start.
I've only lost 30# which is 1/2 of what I'd like to have lost since I started, but I've been doing this daily and changed a lot. My back hurt so bad that I couldn't stand at the sink to wash dishes without pain across my shoulder-blades and lower back, and that has gotten much bet... Wed, 9 Apr 2008 15:01:47 EST
