At a couple of points, I felt upset that I had to be 'good' but I felt GREAT after I actually stayed on my plan. I overcame the challenges! Here is to another day at the happiest place on earth! 244 Wed, 13 Feb 2013 11:40:46 EST Disneyland... here I come! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5247231 Today was day 1 at Disneyland. No worries... I am still on track. I also walked over 10K steps today, and we were only there for 4 hours. Tomorrow will be a full day there, so we shall see how it unfolds. I am not worried, as there are several healthy choices available. I called the Disney chefs a week ago to get nutritional info! ♥ Yay! 26 Tue, 12 Feb 2013 02:27:34 EST Staying at my in-law's house... challenges! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5243862 This weekend will prove to be a challenge. We traveled out of town to stay with my in-laws for 3 days. My mother-in-law is an adorable little Jewish woman, who has a mantra of "Eat! Eat!" Oy vey! To avoid this, we made two prep phone calls.. one (my husband took care of) and let her know that I was really trying to be healthier and I had to count all of my food intake, eat., so not to worry aout my food.

The second call (I made), and let her know that we really appreciated them ha... Sun, 3 Feb 2013 01:06:11 EST Back porch project... will this ever end? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5233899 Sooo tired. Worked on trying to clear out the back porch. We can actually see 'daylight' now.We move the scaffolding to the fence area, moved most of the lumber, and removed a lot of the junk. This project is killing me. I am tired, hurting, and did not have time for my usual walk for exercise. Hopefully two more fully days and we can relax. I need a vacation. 198

Good news is I stayed on my food program today! 30 Fri, 1 Feb 2013 23:26:40 EST Cleaning off the back porch... FINALLY! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5232403 David and I are finally getting around to cleaning off the back porch. We have no idea what is back there, so we are looking at it as a treasure hunt. (We inherited the house from my dad.. I think he could qualify as a little bit of a hoarder!) We found some interesting stuff and worked off some calories! Hopeully we have sun tomorrow so we can continue! Thu, 31 Jan 2013 22:48:36 EST Excellent day for walking http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5230638 Today, David and I made our first walking trip to our Starbucks. We also took the long route, stopping by his mailbox. 3.7 miles and 75 minutes. Wow! Feeling tired, but really proud of us. 342 Wed, 30 Jan 2013 18:20:35 EST Monday means homework http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5228156 Wow... glad this day is almost over. I worked on homework for over 8 hours today, and I still managed to get out of the house and walk for 35 minutes. This current course is over and tomorrow I begin the next! I ♥♥♥ gaining my education! 58 Tue, 29 Jan 2013 02:30:59 EST A Better Day! ♥ http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5225472 Today is starting out in a positive manner. That darn scale FINALLY moved! I have lost 1 pounds this week... no great, but it is better than gaining. I feel very healthy and have walked a LOT during the past week. I have cooked almost every meal at home, and I love it! Good day!!! 355 Sun, 27 Jan 2013 10:54:59 EST Time to re-think http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5224416 It has been 6 days since I lost weight. In my reading, I have figured out that weighing myself every day might not be mentally healthy. When the scale doesn't move, I feel that I am not making progress, then I want to eat... a lot. This is detrimental, both emotionally and mentally. I have made a decision to weight once a week.

Thoughts? Sat, 26 Jan 2013 13:26:21 EST Anxious today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5219935 I am feeling anxious. 24 I do not feel that I am making any progress this week, but my fibromyalgia has been really bad for the last 3 days. I have continued to do all of the right things (track all food, drinking water, exercising) but I just feel a little down. I have been watching the motivational videos and reading positive articles to maintain a good outlook. I know this is temporary, so today I will try to get out in the sunshine (if it shows up today!)

Any ideas... Wed, 23 Jan 2013 10:38:06 EST Tired, but motivated http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5219357 I had a great first week. Last night was a late night... too much homework. I am feeling tired today, but nothing will deter me from staying on program! Motivation is the key... 48 Tue, 22 Jan 2013 22:46:03 EST 10 pounds down... 40 to go http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5217107 I am so excited! I hit my first 10 pound mark, and I cannot believe how great I feel. Changes to my food intake, adding exercise, and making better food choices has not only effected me, but has changed my husband's life and attitude as well. We walk together each night, giving us time to talk about our days and has created a closeness for us. He is supportive and proud of me, and I am thankful for Spark for the additional support. What a GREAT website! 342 Mon, 21 Jan 2013 13:24:23 EST
