Just a bit worried as it is a 5 min warmup - then 20min jog/run straight - I currently jog at 8km/hr - but I may just have to adjust that tomorrow to see if I can get as far as a can. So far on the program the longest run has only been 8min - so this is a bit of a jump. Anyway we will see how many minutes I can keep going for.

EDITED - JU... Fri, 31 Aug 2012 20:54:28 EST Calorie Confusion and BMR Calorie Confusion
I can see why people can get so confused about how many Calories that they should be eating a day to lose weight. It is important to know your BMR - Basal Metabolic Rate - this is the number of Calories you should consume a day just to keep your body functioning properly in an inactive state.

My BMR is currently 1572 Calories a Day

I have a link to the calculator on my blog

So I would class myself as Moderately Active - as I am going t... Thu, 30 Aug 2012 23:44:44 EST Spring, Blisters & Waiting on the Postman

Well, the weather is starting to warm up and my spring flowers are blooming, I headed off to the gym this morning not sure of what I would exactly be doing - would I just do my own thing or do the class. Knowing that the class pushes me just that little bit more.

Well there were only two of us for the morning class, which is a shame as we have a good facility but not many people use it. In one way it is great, it is like having your own personal gym and personal train... Wed, 29 Aug 2012 23:44:39 EST Chicken Parma & Stir Fry Chicken Parma with Mushroom & Broccolini Stir Fry
Well the shock of the weight gain has showed me just how easy it is for fluid to build up in your body if you are not consuming enough water.

Weighed myself this morning before embarking on Week 4 Day 3 of C25K and I have already lost 1.1kg in just over a day buy boosting my water intake again. Tue, 28 Aug 2012 01:49:34 EST Weight Gain Pain! - New Resolve Today!
Well today was a bit of an eye opener and a test of my resolve.

I have been sick with a chest flu for about two weeks and been out of routine for the last 10 days or so. Sun, 26 Aug 2012 19:21:01 EST Let's try for the 4th time... As part of my cardio workouts I am currently working through the C25K (Couch to 5 Km) running program. I started it initially back in February this year and got through to the second week and gave up. I was complaining that my knees just weren't up to it and that I would never be a runner. I was pretty happy with that decision and went back to walking on the treadmill.

KICK UP THE BUTT TIME. Not going to get any further if I don't put the effort, sweat and tears in!!!
<BR... Mon, 20 Aug 2012 21:45:28 EST I am Grateful for Small Packets of Chips!!! Lately I have been pretty good with the night time snacking but last night I slipped in a couple of mini packets of chips and fruit cake (with butter on it).

Through the whole process of eating it I knew I shouldn't of been, but hey I was hungry. Did the big food shopping trip last night - as the tribe are turning up tonight for a few days ("tribe" my partner's three children) so with the tribe and miss 7 - there are plenty of munchies in the trolley!! - Funnily enough I haven't really felt the need to eat any of their crap which is a good thing!

Usually after doing the big shop I don't really feel like cooking when I get home, so we usually throw in the trolley something easy and fast to cook. I love routine - I love being organised - that is not to say that I am!

I find with working full time, being a mum and having a lot of other activities that fill up my life, the best thing for me is to not have too much variance on a daily basis.

This is my basic weekday routine at the moment.

Get up at 5.30am - go the gym for either a group class or weight circuit/treadmill

Home around 7am
Grab a cup of Coffee - ... I am a shocking keeper or journals/diaries and I love social media, so what better way to track my progress.

Yes I would like to help others but I suppose one of the main reasons for the blog is to help myself keep on the straight and narrow.

I have a great love of Pinterest and see some amazing information, but I am left wondering do...
