However, I am noticing that I am hopping on the scale a little too often. I don't want to become frustrated too quickly as I know weight can fluctuate throughout the day. <BR> <BR> Anyone else seem to have the same problem? It's just so tempting!! The weekend really seemed to fly by but we are in good spirits here at MillerCoors with our Packer win yesterday :) I am happy to report that I kept it to one beer and only healthy snacks for the game as this is usually my weakness! I am happy to say that I am getting back in the habit of tracking my workouts and eating patterns. I have been doing great over the past 2 months kicking butt in the gym. Now I need to focus on getting my eating in better shape. I know this is the only way to see those results! I had a great workout with my roommates last night (who are some of the most fit people I have ever met) and I really pushed myself hard. Sometimes I am able to really focus well when I'm on my own, but the competitive nature in me really enjoyed being pushed/motivated by another person. What does everyone else think? I am extremely excited but right now all my head is wrapped around is feeling good about how I look on the beach in my bikini. I consider myself to be a pretty decent cook, I usually call my mom and make her explain her recipes to me and figure things out from Anyway, I am getting quite bored with my healthy snack selections. My running had been getting so much better and then this happened! I'm supposed to take a break from the treadmill but I ran tonight at the gym. I always feel fine while I'm doing it but now that I'm home my legs are throbbing. The bike and elliptical just don't give my the burn that I like when I run and I've been working my way up to running longer. I don't know, it just feels like a step backwards. The rest o... THIS IS INSANE!! It's gonna be a strange winter again I can tell. So the bad news is that my 1.5 mile walk will be cut out today because of this nasty rain and I am going to have to drive to class instead :( I'm just going to have to find some motivation to do a longer workout tonight at the gym! I've been working hard since school started and this semester its been easier to find time to get to the gym. This prize is an EXCELLENT motivator and I will put it to good use :) Went to the gym today with two of my roommates and we kicked some bootie! It's freeeeezing here in good old Whitewater, WI. Despite the below zero windchill, I made the decision to bundle up and walk home from class (rather than riding with my roommate like usual). When I got home I used SparkPeople to track my route and it came out to 1.3 miles!! Next fall I will be in my student teaching. It is officially my last first day of school as a student! Its been an incredibly long road but I'm excited to see what the future holds. I owe it all to my new favorite iphone app GymBoss ( I believe it is available on any type of smartphone). This app lets you customize workouts and set the time for how long you want to do each exercise. Its so cool! Plus it really kept me moving with the timer alarm switching up the movements. It's been a while since I've logged into spark. What a crazy busy Christmas break I had back home. I was so happy to be able to spend a whole month with my family and friends from home. Now I 'm moved back to school and getting back into intense health mode :) Life feels pretty awesome right now. I have two midterms this morning, then I'm racing about 30 miles away to get to my student teaching school, then racing back to UW-Whitewater to finish my final exam for the day. Today I killed it on the treadmill! I tend to do short bursts for sprinting and walk at an incline while resting. Today I ran more than I thought I was going to push myself. When I came home I helped myself to a generous portion of spaghetti (whole wheat of course!) Now back to the books preparing for midterms this week. How is everyone doing? Keep up the hard work! Mon, 22 Oct 2012 21:55:11 EST Escape to the gym Got a call from my mom today saying that my grandma is probably going to pass away in the next couple of days. I feel really helpless that I can't get home as I am away at school. She is 98 years old so this isn't anything that was really unexpected. It would just be really nice to be around family right now. I am very blessed to have such great friends as roommates to help me through this time and I'll be heading home this weekend to be with my family. For now I can't really seem to kee... Obviously this is where some struggle comes in. We ate terribly and drinking is soooo many calories. I still lost 2 lbs this week but I'm not happy with the damage done. Mon, 1 Oct 2012 10:12:49 EST Pumped! I don't know what was so great about today but I had a coffee in between classes this morning and came home SO PUMPED to work out. I hadn't planned a time to workout today so it was really a surprise that I wanted to hit the gym so bad. I watched an episode of Modern Family while I ran so it kept me on the elliptical for almost 30 min and then I did mostly strength exercises. I think I'm back on track after my fun packed weekend. My workout last night was pretty difficult and took A LOT of motivation to get me to the gym but I felt amazing when I was finished. My struggle today is food. I'm eating healthy but my school schedule is a little hectic today. I don't have a lot of calories left for dinner and I don't like to eat too late so I need to figure something out! Wed, 19 Sep 2012 15:01:48 EST Football weekend I have been doing so well with my eating until this weekend! I had been completely on track and lost about 7lbs in two weeks and then Whitewater had their first football game of the season. My friends came up to visit and we tailgated and ate all the bad tailgating foods. I didn't work out for two days and now I feel like I've set myself back a bit.
