I'm working a lot of hours this week so keeping up with everything is going to be hard. I'm at least going to track my food and drink my water but getting my exercise in is going to be hard. Mon, 12 Jan 2009 08:05:16 EST 01/09/09 doing great I stepped on the scale today and was pleasantly surprised. I have already lost 2 Lbs for the week. I'm very happy for myself. I did great today. I wrote down everything I ate and drank all my water. I will also do my walking in a little bit. Sat, 10 Jan 2009 02:38:03 EST Working more...... I feel that I'm doing great for all the work I have to do and I'm keeping up with my cardio and food/water intake. I improvised on my walking and did it at work and did some stairs too. I was able to eat right and I still have a bottle of water to finish but I will finish it. I walked 30 min on treadmill and also walked probably 10 min fast in the mall too. I finally get to get better food tomorrow which is awesome. So things will be even easier. Thu, 8 Jan 2009 01:00:21 EST 01/06/09 Another good day I was able to stay with eating and drinking my water. I also did 30 min on the treadmill. I feel that I'm making progress. Little by little Wed, 7 Jan 2009 18:59:13 EST On my way.....01/05/09 I had the best day so far. I did 35 min on the treadmill and 22 min of Turbo Jam plus wrote down everything I ate which was a shocker on portion size and calories. I even drank all my water and stayed on the lower end of my calorie range. I worked real hard today to get started the right way. I even found myself looking at the snake machine at work and said no way and didn't get anything. I should pat myself on the back. Tue, 6 Jan 2009 03:54:58 EST Getting started in the New Year. I'm getting a slow start on the new year. I haven't been feeling very well the last few days. I'm planning on starting things back up tomorrow. I finally feel better. I started working out again I have been putting of working out for a few days but I finally started back to the gym today. I always feel better when I workout. In 2009 I'm going to focus 100% on me. I've been putting it off to long. I focus more on my kids needs than my own. I did 14 min on the elliptical and 14 on the treadmill and did weights too. I think I did good for not doing anything for a while. Good luck everyone on keeping motivated during the holiday season. Fri, 26 Dec 2008 14:10:45 EST I need to get back to the exercise. I haven't been doing very good lately. I have been working so much that I haven't really had time or been to tired to workout. I need to get motivated again. I would like to be at a certain point before the 1st of the year so that I can work on more after that. I still have two weeks and 3 lbs to lose to get there so it's not impossible. I started a new job and it had me moving and on my feet more so I don't think it was a total waste. I am really soar today tho from all the workouts the last two days. I plan on doing a lot tomorrow. Tue, 9 Dec 2008 05:27:35 EST 12/4/08 Very productive last couple of days... I still did my 45 on the treadmill aka the beast... I started doing weights along with that now too plus extra work around the farm and house. Today I didn't do the treadmill but I started working for Doc and I did a lot of running around the farm for him and I totally cleaned out two stalls which is a lot of work. I did all that in around 3 hours for him plus worked on firewood today too. Getting firewood is a non stop job. I have also been doing very well on my food intake too. Fri, 5 Dec 2008 00:57:12 EST Turbo Jam DVD's for sell... I have the DVD that has 5 workouts on it($20) and the Punch, Kick, and Jam($5) one left. These are both really great DVD's. I just ended up with two sets of them. They are still in there plastic and never have been opened yet. It's a $60 value normally. If anyone is interested please let me know. They would make great Christmas gift for someone. I know that when I do them I can really see the results fast. I took today off. I watched what I ate but didn't do much in the way of working out. Thank God and I really do mean that. I need to get more sleep though. I think the lack of sleep is going to effect me in the end. I hope everyone enjoys the new pics of the kids. I was normally walking 45 min a day and since I ate so much I decided that I would walk the 45 min on the treadmill and let me tell you. It's a real workout on that thing. It sucks that I can't make it go any slower. I have to be burning a bunch of calories walking on it. I will be glad when all the turkey is gone from my house so that I don't feel like I have eaten a big cow or something. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day. Sat, 29 Nov 2008 06:05:02 EST Happy Thanksgiving!! I got a different treadmill yesterday. The funny thing is it doesn't know how to go slow. Maybe that will be a good thing. I did 30 min on it and was sweating my butt off. I mowed the yard too. I had to get it done in a hurry because the mower need to go back. I think I did well for the day. I went to curves yesterday to try it out and she measured me and weight me and I have lost inches and lost pounds. This is cool some of it was from before Atkins. I got weight at the doc office and it was lower too. My jeans are even getting loose already. LOL maybe I should shrink them in the dryer. Anyway I'm happy with how things are going so far. Other than the fogginess that you get at the beggining of this diet I am doing very well with it. And I am losing weight on it and it has only been 3 days so far. I really like the new Atkins book. It allowes some carbs even from the beggining. I know that Doc's have told me to watch my carbs for years. I'm just not one of those that can eat a lot of carbs at all. Ok I joined up with the Adkins diet group and I'm doing the boot camp for the week. I have always done well on this diet but have been afraid to be on it to long because of what I have heard in the past about the diet. So far I have done my 45 min of walking and I am only eating no carb foods. I have also done well today with my water. Sun, 16 Nov 2008 17:31:01 EST 11/15/2008 Worked my butt off today!!! No really I did.. I worked all day long on the yard and the house and I even did 30 min of high intensity turbo jam and 50 min of walking today I really did well today plus I made a lasagna the healthier way with turkey meat and wheat pasta It was awesome. I had a house full of kids that did the yard work and turbo jam with me but it was to cold for the walking for them. If I keep this up I will be down to my goal in no time at all. Have a great day all!!! Sun, 16 Nov 2008 04:10:28 EST 11/14/08 I'm going to have a party!!! I can actually get into my jeans now. I am so excited. When I went to put them on I just thought to myself I was going to wear them weather they were tight or not. I was so surprised to put them on and not have to lay down to zip them up. I don't see much of a change in number on the scale but I do see a lot in my clothes sizes. Plus one of my daughters friends says she can see that I lost some weight too. That meant a lot to me. Well we went out for sushi and I had a couple of gift cards that family and friends sent me so I picked up some things while we were out. He got me roses and a card which was really sweet. We ended up talking for about 3 hours after dinner which was real nice to. I am going to start some changes to my workout and eating plan tomorrow that I think will really help me out. I watched this vidoe on FAT people and boy was it an eye opener. I was looking along in some other peoples pages and I saw a person actually put up her pics of her in just a bra and panties and thought to myself if that isn't a wakeup call every time you log on I don't know what is. I was debating trying the adkins diet again or trying the GI diet but not sure. If anyone has any ideas let me know what you think. I don't think I was doing what I needed to do for the last few weeks so I want to do it the right way. I don't think I was eating enough calories in the day. I did lose weight but I don't think it would have been a long term diet to stay on. I think I will be ok on the working out it's just the eating part but if anyone has any advice please let me know. But still did all my stuff at work that I need to do. Monday was a good day though. I did 20 min of Turbo Jam and walked 3 times around the track and it took about 45 min total plus doing the work stuff. I feel much better and I can see a difference in my clothes. I even tried on all my old clothes that I didn't think would fit and a few of the really nice jeans are only an inch away from being perfect for me now. I went out tonight and was looking for some new clothes and I think if I get down to 220 I'll reward myself with somethin new. I've only had the turbo jam for 6 months. I also did all my work outs from sparks page and I did my work out from work. I am still do the extra walking for the boss and now they have me staying at the desk more so that means more moving around and not so much idle sitting which is good for me. I haven't been able to incorporate the exercises from here into my day yet but with the extra moving around at work and me trying to do more at home I think I'm on the right track. Some of the stuff I probably wouldn't come across on my own and I find myself relating to what people say about themselves and what they did to help themselves.
