I want to use this month to focus on my health again. Great timing too, since it is the holidays. Hopefully that means I don't gain during the holidays and last year I managed to lose during the holidays!

So this past contract sept- dec, I managed to maintain my weight!! It might have something to do with I'm at my plateau weight. I had boats where it was difficult to get movement in. I was sub par on my crunches... Mon, 9 Dec 2013 21:25:03 EST 15 pounds!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5190898 According to the scale at the gym, I have lost my 15 pounds! YAY for xmas weight and my 2 pounds coming off in a row! It certainly makes for a good week :) My start weight on my home scale and the 15 pounds hasn't quite equalized, but I am sure it will soon :) It is lingering around there.

I have a week and a day to see what else I can do before I leave for the west coast and then out to sea. I am so nervous I am going to have this fall apart. I really wish I had more time to work... Fri, 4 Jan 2013 23:40:39 EST Lucky 2013 :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5185224 Time for a new year and new adventures.

So I have to go back to work in less than 2 weeks. I'm hoping this year will be far less stressful at work. I am also excited for my post contract plans. I am going to see the world. One way or another I am having an epic year.

So with the holidays I did fall behind on updates. I did not fall behind on exercise and food other than during Xmas. My mother was not helpful AT ALL. She says I am driving her crazy with my habits and I ... Wed, 2 Jan 2013 00:40:38 EST One hurdle down, several to go http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5158768 So I got a lovely phone call today saying I had a false positive and that I have been through hoops and unpleasantness for nothing. At least I know I'm fine now.

I also made it to Zumba today. This instructor is not as intense, so I have to make sure I put the effort in (actually do the jumps and all twists and stuff) to get the workout I need. If I half ass it, I am half assing myself... And I was a good girl! I jumped and did all that fun stuff to make sure I kept my HR up and c... Thu, 6 Dec 2012 23:32:40 EST 12/05/12 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5157673 My sister came into town for the afternoon/night due to an appt, so my mom wanted to go out for dinner. So I was in charge of picking a restaurant that everyone agreed on and fit into my food plan. I decided on red lobster because crab fest was going on and a whole snow crab was only 180 calories. So with the side salad and blueberry vinaigrette. I still managed to be ok! I even got the skinny Long Island ice tea because it was only 120 cal and I have been deprived. Although I have a party on... Wed, 5 Dec 2012 23:14:11 EST Stressful weekend http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5155129 So I have had a rough week. Friday I went in for more tests and after getting poked and probed, I still went to the gym! I was so proud of myself. I was going out to dinner with a friend so I really needed to go. My friend and I went and had dinner at a tavern styled restaurant. Not the best select for me. I ended up with a turkey burger and sweet potato fries. They didn't really have healthy healthy options, but it was a healthyish eat out treat. Then I went back to her house and a mob of 30... Mon, 3 Dec 2012 19:55:36 EST Nov. 29 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5150959 So yesterday was a good weightloss goals day... I had my pt and instead of going for my safe bike, my butt decided it didn't want to sit on a hard seat... So I attempted the scary elliptical. I did it for 30 mins!!! I was very proud of myself. I had pt afterwards and she kicked my butt! So good day at the gym. I was fairly good with food too.

Today I had a lot of errands I was putting off, so I took one day to do them. I was pretty good at food too. It would have been nice to get t... Thu, 29 Nov 2012 20:12:23 EST Curveball http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5148950 So last night I got some test results and they were really upsetting. I made some calls today and was told the results might be true and more testing will be needed to confirm or deny the initial test. So I was quite upset and didn't make it to the gym as planned. I played on my wii for a bit. So not a complete loss. I really wanted wine, ice cream, and chocolate. I ended up with a bowl of ice cream, but I managed to just barely stay under with calories because my lunch and dinner were ok. I ... Tue, 27 Nov 2012 23:02:50 EST My recent attempt http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5147555 So I was talking to a friend of mine and she convinced me to come back to sparkpeople and finish my sign up. I signed up for a gym on November 5th. So it has been exactly 3 weeks and things are actually going well. I have actually lost 5 pounds as of today!!! I have never been able to stick to being healthy this long. Hopefully this means a lifestyle change will be soon!

So this gym gave me 12 training sessions with signing up and unlimited classes, which I knew I needed to keep m...
