Wed, 11 Jul 2012 13:26:24 EST Walking my way to a 5k http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4953933 Its hard to believe 15 months ago and 110 lbs heavier I could barely walk a short distance without getting out of breath!! I've been training the last few weeks to do a virtual 5 k with my team and I went from being out of breath at 1 lap to walking 7 laps. On July 21 I have to walk 10 laps for my 5 k!! I have 3 more laps to go!! I know I will make it!! I'm also 16 days soda free!!! I am determined to eat healthy n get fit!! I had a bad eating day this past Sunday but got right back on track... My weight loss was going slow n I realized I've slowly increased drinking diet coke! Especially when eating out which don't happen often I can easily drink 3 diet cokes free refills n they keep them going!! I'm a big drinker always drink a lot of water!! When at work I would limit it to 2 a day! My son read an article on diet coke n how bad it is for u n he asked me to think about giving it up !
