Same goes for this upcoming week.

Keep sparking! 244 Sun, 16 Jun 2013 19:21:13 EST 1/2 Marathon http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5387731 My cousin & I have registered & paid for our Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon for Feb 2014. There's no turning back now. I am so excited!!!! 312 Thu, 13 Jun 2013 08:04:19 EST Yes! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5382794 I have finally worked out 7 days in a row. I am on a workout streak! I feel the momentum now! Happy sparking!!!! 321 Sat, 8 Jun 2013 21:07:22 EST Back to Normal http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5380008 Ok, now that the fridge is fixed (and like brand new) my life can resume some sort of normalcy. I went grocery shopping twice yesterday: once at the produce market and once at the regular store. I am all stocked up on healthy foods again. That makes me happy. 224

I have worked out 3/7 days this week and it looks like it's going to be another 6/7 week due to Tropical Storm Andrea. I should be able to run Sunday as the storm should have passed us by then.

W... Thu, 6 Jun 2013 07:59:45 EST Small Victories http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5377630 The fridge is supposed to get fixed today. 244 I can't wait to buy some REAL food again for the house.

It's been gloomy here with some rainy weather coming in this week. Also, my jazzercise is having a summer attendance game. So I've adjusted my running schedule to 2 days/wk so that I can win the beach towel.

I was able to workout 6/7 days last week, which is 345 . I planned for 7/7 but I had to babysit my infant nephew Friday evening. We'll se... Tue, 4 Jun 2013 08:04:47 EST Rough Morning Already http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5373367 I had difficulty falling asleep last night. The mind would not shut off. I am stressed about the fridge & how I had to throw everything away last night that was in it. It is no longer cool and it won't be fixed until next week. Boy, they sure are taking their precious time fixing it. Probably because it's a warranty issue. And my second worry is my puppy has a flea problem. Advantage Multi doesn't work. I had issues with fleas with my previous fur-baby. They seem immune to the topical tre... Fri, 31 May 2013 08:20:16 EST A Much Better Week...Sort Of http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5372285 Over the Memorial Day weekend my freezer & fridge decided to leak coolant and stop cooling/freezing my foods. It isn't even a year old. Luckily it's still under manufacturer warranty. However, a repairman couldn't come out until Wednesday (yesterday). And now that the problem has been diagnosed & the part ordered we wait. Repairman didn't say when he'd be out again with the part to fix it. So as the fridge continues to get warmer, I sit & worry about all the $ that's going to be thrown ... Thu, 30 May 2013 08:39:01 EST The Plan Has Changed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5365437 So after not being able to run on Tuesday, I picked it up on Wednesday. But I missed my jazzercise class. So the workout plan for the week has been modified to Mon, Thurs, Sat - jazzercise 355 ; Tues - off; and Wed, Fri & Sun - running 312 . That'll make 6 days this week I've gotten in a workout.

I can live with that.

Fortunately, my menu plan is still on track 284 . A friend of mine, who we kind of act as "sponsors" to our eating h... Thu, 23 May 2013 09:04:54 EST Plan Somewhat Derailed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5364275 Due to some supposedly severe weather that was blowing in I was unable to run. I didn't have my workout clothes with me so I couldn't go to a jazzercise class instead. So I went home & ate dinner thinking that it was going to rain really hard. Well, all we got were sprinkles. I could have run but didn't want to chance getting caught in a storm. So my initial plan for the week has been somewhat derailed. Wed, 22 May 2013 08:09:17 EST This Week's Plan http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5362103 So after taking a full week off from my running schedule, it is back on this week. My workout schedule is: Mon, Wed, Thurs & Sat - jazzercise, Tues, Fri & Sun - running. I have pre-prepped my breakfast, lunch & snacks for the entire week. I leave dinner open for variety. My plan is to eat less processed foods and more whole foods this week. Plus, they are lower on the not so nutritious carb content & higher on the more nutritious carb content. I'm hypothesizing that I will have more ene... Mon, 20 May 2013 10:24:43 EST Fitness Ideas http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5359308 If anyone is struggling to find a great fitness program, I highly recommend Jazzercise. I have been an avid jazzerciser for 8 years now and love it! It combines jazz dance, ballet, pilates, yoga, and many other aspects into a one hr workout. You get to dance, strength train & stretch all in one class, and to Top 40 music. It's amazing. It is also the only fitness program I've EVER stuck with in my entire life. I actually have withdrawal when I don't get my Jazzercise fix for the day. <BR... Fri, 17 May 2013 12:39:09 EST 1st 5k http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5356314 I've been training for almost 3 months now for a 1/2 marathon taking place in February 2014. But just for kicks I participated in my first 5k this past weekend. I finished in 39:35 at a pace of 12:57 min/mi. I was very happy with that. I am following Jeff Galloway's Run Walk Run method. I did a 30 sec run 30 sec walk. It felt great. I had a wonderful time and am planning to run another one July 3rd. Can't wait for the 1/2 marathon. Bring it on!!!! Tue, 14 May 2013 12:47:23 EST
