Just got back from the parade! It is terrific to see the flags flying high, hear the bands and to applaud our service men and women keeping our independence safe for us to enjoy! Our parade even had a bus full of WWII servicemen. The dogs had to stay home. Too hot here for black dogs in fur coats in the sun. They are wearing their red, white and blue scaved today. As a substitute for ice cream in the evenings, try a frozen banana with a tablespoon of chocolate syrup. Partly because I gave up my glass of wine with dinner, also I have been tracking closely and making good choices. <BR> <BR> I have also walked everyday. 30 minutes Monday night and 60 minutes last night. The dogs are my motivation. If I sit on the couch they stare at me until I say let's go for a walk. Then they are all happy and ready to go. <BR> <BR> Hope everyone else is doing as well. All in a very stressful week. I have started to make changes slowly as I am in this for the long haul. They say this is a marathon not a sprint. I didn't put this weight on in one weekend, it will take longer to take it off. I tracked every bite I ate, cut my glass of wine at dinner and made sure I drank my water everyday.
