First of all I was doing the most amazing tornado kicks of my Kung Fu career, on the third one I landed wrong and sprained my right ankle. Knowing this it occurred to me that my eating would have to be more controlled than usual since true exercise was out of the question. That same week we had an ice cream party for my son because it was his last day of Kung Fu. (I skipped dinner so I could eat ice cream with my boy). It was so hard watching ... Gained 3.2 lb in a week. How the hell do you gain three pounds in a week? Just reinforces how much I need this and will go way off track if given a chance. At least I didn't gain more, and caught it early. Just Keep Swimming. <BR> <BR> <em>198</em> Tue, 1 Oct 2013 09:29:27 EST Struggled this Weekend http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5494036 I have realized this blog is more about self talk than anything else. I am here to make sure that I treat myself better. Both by being in control of my addiction when a can, and forgiving myself when I back slide. Well yesterday was one of those days, honestly I was not on top of my eating either Saturday night or Sunday into this morning. So I begin, as each day is a chance to start again without self judgement, but self love. As hard as it is, I work to look for the positive to replace... Mon, 23 Sep 2013 16:19:55 EST Move2Health http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5492239 It just so happens as I have decided to take back my life, I started Spark People again. At the same time, my community is participating in Move2Health. In twelve days I have logged 1575 minutes. That is 26 hours and 15 minutes of hiking a mountain, Kung Fu, Tai Chi, walking for work, walking to the bus stop, walking to and from stores. (I don't have a car right now.) I guess I can say that I have an active life style. Now to keep strong and eat appropriately. The nutrition tracker is... Sat, 21 Sep 2013 20:43:42 EST Moving Onward and Upward. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5489553 Last week I lost 6.2 lbs which is about a fifth of what I want to loose. That really is a big chunk, I don't expect that result every week. For me it is important to have a visual of what I am eating and be honest with myself. I have embraced the fact that I am totally addicted to food and need to be conscious of what I am eating. Like I stated in the beginning, it is not my activity level that is the issue, it is the binge eating that is the real problem. Wed, 18 Sep 2013 18:48:16 EST Crap, i knew it was bad, but really? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5481446 OK, time to cut the bull, I am but 17lbs from my heaviest weight. No wonder my Kung Fu sucks. I don't have a car right now so I walk all the time, no excuse for this. So, that being said I have quit video games and will spend my spare time here. I have to log what I eat, the exercise is covered. I can get back to what I want to be. :) Tue, 10 Sep 2013 09:20:30 EST
