Mon, 27 May 2013 12:04:26 EST Shred week 2, day 3 Feeling good that I resisted the McD's French fries temptation. <BR> <BR> Meal 1: Pear <BR> Snack 1: carrots and hummus <BR> meal 2: (late!) turkey sandwich on wheat with cheese, lettuce, tomato & mustard plus side salad <BR> Snack 2: cup of tea because meal 2 was so late <BR> <BR> Got to the gym this morning For 40 minutes on the elliptical. Yay! Wed, 22 May 2013 16:31:57 EST Shred week 2, day 2 It's the witching hour (10pm), which means I want to snack. I think I will drink a glass of water and go to bed. Gotta be good so I can not feel guilty if I lose a little control at Bunco tomorrow night. Eating until you're sick is just part of the BUNCO fun, right? <BR> <BR> Hmmm gotta make time to work out tomorrow, too. <BR> <BR> I did pretty well on eating on schedule today. Mon, 20 May 2013 11:45:36 EST Shred week 1, day 6 I was totally off today. And last night was date night so I did really well up until dinner time. Then I kinda let loose and enjoyed my date. I did work out today though. So that's good. And I went back to Weight Wachers, too, after 6 months. <BR> <BR> Tomorrow is a new day though. I have already read my weekly guidelines and I decided to adjust all my meal times back by 30 minutes. Hopefully that will work a little better for me, since my alarm went off for first meal at 8:30 this mornin... Sun, 19 May 2013 02:14:06 EST Shred week 1, day 5 At 8:30 I managed to have my fruit...a banana. Yay me! But then I wasn't hungry for my oatmeal. Bummer. <BR> <BR> Then snack time rolled round and I was cleaning. I am finally eating my warmed up three times oatmeal as a breakfast/snack kinda thing. <BR> <BR> I was really pretty energitic this morning and was getting things done around the house. I am not hungry at 8:30 am, which is the time for meal one. So that puts everything off. <BR> <BR> After being up in the middle of the night with a sick kiddo, at 8:30 I was taking a morning nap. So again I am about an hour off today. I wonder how important the times really are. <BR> <BR> Oh I also still haven't managed to get my meal one fruit or juice. Wed, 15 May 2013 13:45:11 EST Shred week 1, day 2 Meal 1: oatmeal, whole wheat toast, coffee, cranberry juice <BR> I had meal one at 9 instead of 8:30 but at least today I didn't miss it by as much. Added 1 tsp of sugar to my oatmeal and 1 pat of butter to my toast...wouldn't be bearable otherwise. Used Splenda in my coffee but used flavored creamer. Limited myself to the recommended one cup. <BR> <BR> Forgot my fruit though. <BR> <BR> I was on the road today so I packed up my snacks and lunch and avoided the drive-through temptation. Yay... Wed, 15 May 2013 00:24:56 EST Shred week 1, day 1 Meal 1: I am supposed to eat breakfast at 8:30...missed it. Oops <BR> <BR> Snack 1 10 a.m.: I ended up having my breakfast cause I was finally hungry. Oatmeal (bad me added sugar), coffee (two cups instead of one) with sugar and cream. Mon, 13 May 2013 17:07:29 EST Wont get derailed by injury I banged my knee up a bit on Saturday. I'm 80% OK. Hoping that last 20% appears tomorrow. If not, I'll get it checked out. Tue, 13 Mar 2012 01:20:33 EST Refocusing after a not-so-good week Well I didn't get my exercise or water in last week, and I ate too many Girl Scout cookies. But I am putting a stop to the slide before it gets any worse. Because I am in control of this!! I know I can use today to make better decisions for my health. Let's do this! Mon, 5 Mar 2012 11:51:09 EST More calories to balance my exercise The good news is I'm down 2 lbs this week. The better news is that I get to up my calories to compensate for the amount of exercise I'm getting--45 to 60 minutes at least 3 times a week. I'm feeling pretty good about my rate of progress. Well honestly I wish the weight dropped as quickly as I put it on. But I do know that slow and steady loss is healthier and easier to maintain. So I'm ready to start week 4. I know slow and steady is the healthy way to lose weight. But I think seeing that first 10 pound drop will be very motivational. Fri, 3 Feb 2012 23:02:27 EST Jan 31 What I've done right so far today: <BR> <BR> I had oatmeal for breakfast at around 8:30 a.m. I rarely get around to eating breakfast at a reasonable time. So yeah I was pretty proud of myself. Also you can't really beat oatmeal for a filling, healthy start to the day, as long as you don't overdo it on the sugar, butter, and milk. <BR> <BR> It's a mild, dry day.
