Mon, 27 May 2013 12:04:26 EST Shred week 2, day 3 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5364808 Feeling good that I resisted the McD's French fries temptation.

Meal 1: Pear
Snack 1: carrots and hummus
meal 2: (late!) turkey sandwich on wheat with cheese, lettuce, tomato & mustard plus side salad
Snack 2: cup of tea because meal 2 was so late

Got to the gym this morning For 40 minutes on the elliptical. Yay! Wed, 22 May 2013 16:31:57 EST Shred week 2, day 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5364120 It's the witching hour (10pm), which means I want to snack. I think I will drink a glass of water and go to bed. Gotta be good so I can not feel guilty if I lose a little control at Bunco tomorrow night. Eating until you're sick is just part of the BUNCO fun, right?

Hmmm gotta make time to work out tomorrow, too.

I did pretty well on eating on schedule today. I didn't drink my water though. It's always something. :-) Wed, 22 May 2013 01:01:06 EST End of week one Weigh in http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5362211 Down 2.2. Onward to week 2.

I have Bunco on Wednesday. My son's birthday is coming up this weekend and Memorial Day cookouts. Gotta be mindful of being extra good at following directions on meals so these dont derail me. Mon, 20 May 2013 11:45:36 EST Shred week 1, day 6 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5360731 I was totally off today. And last night was date night so I did really well up until dinner time. Then I kinda let loose and enjoyed my date. I did work out today though. So that's good. And I went back to Weight Wachers, too, after 6 months.

Tomorrow is a new day though. I have already read my weekly guidelines and I decided to adjust all my meal times back by 30 minutes. Hopefully that will work a little better for me, since my alarm went off for first meal at 8:30 this mornin... Sun, 19 May 2013 02:14:06 EST Shred week 1, day 5 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5359384 At 8:30 I managed to have my fruit...a banana. Yay me! But then I wasn't hungry for my oatmeal. Bummer.

Then snack time rolled round and I was cleaning. I am finally eating my warmed up three times oatmeal as a breakfast/snack kinda thing.

I was really pretty energitic this morning and was getting things done around the house. Now I am Suddenly very sleepy. I have to decide between Spark and a nap. Fri, 17 May 2013 13:56:10 EST Shred week 1, day 3 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5357500 The hardest part for me so far is staying on schedule. I am not hungry at 8:30 am, which is the time for meal one. So that puts everything off.

After being up in the middle of the night with a sick kiddo, at 8:30 I was taking a morning nap. So again I am about an hour off today. I wonder how important the times really are.

Oh I also still haven't managed to get my meal one fruit or juice. The juice is missing because I have my morning coffee. And the fruit is missing b... Wed, 15 May 2013 13:45:11 EST Shred week 1, day 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5356926 Meal 1: oatmeal, whole wheat toast, coffee, cranberry juice
I had meal one at 9 instead of 8:30 but at least today I didn't miss it by as much. Added 1 tsp of sugar to my oatmeal and 1 pat of butter to my toast...wouldn't be bearable otherwise. Used Splenda in my coffee but used flavored creamer. Limited myself to the recommended one cup.

Forgot my fruit though.

I was on the road today so I packed up my snacks and lunch and avoided the drive-through temptation. Yay... Wed, 15 May 2013 00:24:56 EST Shred week 1, day 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5355426 Meal 1: I am supposed to eat breakfast at 8:30...missed it. Oops

Snack 1 10 a.m.: I ended up having my breakfast cause I was finally hungry. Oatmeal (bad me added sugar), coffee (two cups instead of one) with sugar and cream. Didn't have the juice or fruit.

Meal 2 11:30: veggie soup and an apple

Exercise: 20 minutes of dancing

Snack 2 1 pm: 1/2 PBJ sandwich...I didn't have whole wheat bread and my jelly was reduced sugar not sugar free

I... Mon, 13 May 2013 17:07:29 EST Wont get derailed by injury http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4784856 I banged my knee up a bit on Saturday. I'm 80% OK. Hoping that last 20% appears tomorrow. If not, I'll get it checked out. I don't want to get derailed. Kinda wish I was a swimmer. Maybe I'll check out a water aerobics class if I'm not good for spin. Tue, 13 Mar 2012 01:20:33 EST Refocusing after a not-so-good week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4771775 Well I didn't get my exercise or water in last week, and I ate too many Girl Scout cookies. But I am putting a stop to the slide before it gets any worse. Because I am in control of this!! I know I can use today to make better decisions for my health. Let's do this! Mon, 5 Mar 2012 11:51:09 EST More calories to balance my exercise http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4757938 The good news is I'm down 2 lbs this week. The better news is that I get to up my calories to compensate for the amount of exercise I'm getting--45 to 60 minutes at least 3 times a week. I'm feeling pretty good about my rate of progress. Well honestly I wish the weight dropped as quickly as I put it on. But I do know that slow and steady loss is healthier and easier to maintain. So I'm ready to start week 4. Sun, 26 Feb 2012 12:43:39 EST It's Weigh in Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4747676 Down this week by a pound or so. Not as much as I would have liked but heading in the right direction. I know slow and steady is the healthy way to lose weight. But I think seeing that first 10 pound drop will be very motivational. Gotta remember I just started on this leg of my journey about three weeks ago. Seems longer since I've been here many times before. Mon, 20 Feb 2012 12:24:14 EST Hormone shifts: TMI http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4745057 It's funny to me that the hormone shifts and cravings and bloating related to my cycle always sneak up on me. I am just now putting it together that last week's snacking and Monday's gain may have been related to my cycle at least a little.

You'd think that after all these years I'd have a clue. Sat, 18 Feb 2012 17:10:57 EST Week 2 Weigh-In http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4737193 Well at least I was prepared for it...I gained.

I'm not discouraged though. I had a great workout at spin class this morning. And a very busy morning and afternoon has meant no time for snacking. Onward I go.

Gonna go refill my water bottle, and do a little book biz work before my first munchkin makes it home from school.

Next week's weigh-in will be better. Mon, 13 Feb 2012 17:02:18 EST Argh! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4732776 I've been really good about my exercise but that's translated into uncontrolable hunger. Don't think the scale is going to show a loss this week. Fri, 10 Feb 2012 17:52:30 EST Big Snacker; Chip Resister http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4728182 Bad news: I was a big snacker today; and it took me over my calorie range. I did not get even half of my water down.

Good news: I resisted my potato chip craving. I managed two serving of veggies instead of my usual one. Wed, 8 Feb 2012 00:54:22 EST Week 1 Weigh-in http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4726244 Down 2 lbs. Yippee!

Trying to keep my focus on the 10s instead of the full 50. So 8 more lbs to go before I can treat myself to something. Don't know what to do for a reward though. I guess a mani/pedi, as that's something I don't do very often. Don't know if it really excites me though.

OK five non-food rewards that's what I need. Let me get to thinking on that. Mon, 6 Feb 2012 23:13:40 EST Too full http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4721225 I started out so well with my oatmeal breakfast and apple snack...But then I missed lunch and afternoon snack so by dinner I had a headache and was so hungry I way overate. Now I feel so sick... Fri, 3 Feb 2012 23:02:27 EST Jan 31 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4714613 What I've done right so far today:

I had oatmeal for breakfast at around 8:30 a.m. I rarely get around to eating breakfast at a reasonable time. So yeah I was pretty proud of myself. Also you can't really beat oatmeal for a filling, healthy start to the day, as long as you don't overdo it on the sugar, butter, and milk.

It's a mild, dry day. So I also walked my daughter to school today. Yay for 30 minutes of exercise.

Oh and I'm having water with my Lean Cuisi... Tue, 31 Jan 2012 15:26:10 EST Jan 30 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4712775 A little late on New Year's resolutions. Well actually I didn't make any. But on my 39th birthday in December, I decided I wanted to be be fit and fabulous by my 40th. Other than making the decision, no other action was taken, however. So here I am over a month later taking step one....again. Because of course I've been right here many times before.

My biggest challenge is not being so hard on myself. I'm aiming to treat each day as a new opportunity to do the right thing and to n... Mon, 30 Jan 2012 17:15:16 EST
