This is something that never occurred to me. I always thought maintaining fitness was the best you could hope for. Book review. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5035211 149

This book is very inspiring! Meb was born in war torn Eritrea, an East African country fighting a war with Ethiopia. He came to the USA after a couple years in Italy at the age of 12. Speaking no English, with nothing but the clothes on his back, and never having raced a mile, he became a graduate of UCLA and one of America's top distance runners.
57 58

"Run to win" was Meb's slogan. Part of the route went past an area where I walked Monday night after the Pirates game. The game was a great one. I got a good deal scalping tickets and my team won.
