Well it's been a long process, but refocused with the new year, after months of research and trial and error seems like I found my method for weight loss. Switched back to a whole foods vegan diet after years of eating meat and processed food. I now only eat whole organic vegan foods, lots and lots of veggies, juicing, and just got a food dehydrator for things like yummy fruit leathers. I have a great support system and my boyfriend continually cheers me on, keeping me going. There's still a ... Tue, 5 Feb 2013 18:55:23 EST New Start, New Lifestyle After the new diagnosis in addition to hypothyroidism I have PCOS, it's really made me sit and think about what I eat. I've generally always eaten well but hey I could have always chosen healthier. I'm now trying to eat more in line with a Paleo Diet 496 , with lots of veggies and only whole more processed protein drinks for me (sadly I did love them). It will be a lifestyle change for sure. I have been rather used to eating things from a box, Boca burgers, Lean Cuisine, ... Fri, 27 Jul 2012 00:53:06 EST Recentering and focusing... I wrote before that I was newly diagnosed with Hypothyroidism...about 6 months ago (I know, technically not that long ago but I was symptomatic for a main problem is being exhhhausted all the time..not to mention weight issues). Well was still having problems with being too tired all the time, to tired to do anything. I had been going to my primary for my thyroid issues and she told me I just needed to get into a routine. I love my doctor, suppper nice woman, very caring, but I cou... Wed, 25 Jul 2012 21:25:08 EST ...And Again... Getting back into Spark again, this time with a bit more vigor then last time. A bit frustrated, I gained 7 pounds since the last time I started and haven't even been eating badly (besides the holidays...those don't count ;) ) . I was recently diagnosed with Hypothyroidism so its been a bit of a process figuring out how all this works, if I need to eat differently etc. I find that oftentimes I don't actually eat enough, that its a bit of an effort to get all my nutritional goals in. So I'm no... Mon, 20 Feb 2012 16:52:01 EST Starting again... Well since I started Spark I had lost 10 pounds, quite quickly...then graduation came, my brother's marine graduation, my cousin's...all with parties (which means cake and junk food). I regained the 10 I had lost. I'm determined now to fully get on track with my weight loss, no more excuses, and quite honestly I don't have many options. I'm really pretty healthy for my age/weight, but I am getting older and looking for jobs and being overweight won't help. Plus I will have a few weddings to g... Fri, 22 Jul 2011 09:46:37 EST Graduation Well graduation has come and gone, and I'm finally done with student teaching. Went to the doctor yesturday...again, for the fourth time, and they say I have pneumonia so I can't start working out as much as I would have liked but I can still watch what I'm eating and maybe start slow with some fun games on the Wiifit! I haven't played on there in a long time and I really did like it. Just messing around for a little while I would lose a few pounds. In about two weeks I had lost ten pounds us... Wed, 18 May 2011 22:53:07 EST First week down :) So its been the first week of starting Spark and eating well while going to school. I know its only been five days, but for me its hardest to keep up with eating right during the I'm counting it as my first week down :). I've done pretty well this first week, only had two cupcakes but even then I made up for it by having a salad instead for dinner. Really my main challenge was to do it then stick with it. “Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going”- Jim Roh... Fri, 6 May 2011 23:46:14 EST Ugh students with cupcakes So I'm currently finishing up student teaching at an urban school and yesterday there was TWO students birthdays. My host teacher is allergic to dairy and when the students came around to give her a cupcake she said she couldn't because she was allergic but that I would take it for I had two cupcakes. 29 I ended up only having a salad for dinner to make up for it, so I wasn't over my calorie alotement for the day but still....on the day after I started this diet/lifestyle ...
