I loved it!
But of course, it didn't work out exactly like it was supposed to. :)
I didn't realize until after I had the bananas going in the blender that it was supposed to be made in a food processor. Well, the last thing I am going to do is dirty two major/difficult to clean appliances in one night! So even though it was supposed to be only banana, I did end up adding a little milk and just a drop of peanut butter for flavor. It was like soft serve ice cream!! So good... Mon, 13 May 2013 10:39:51 EST Started tracking... I hate tracking my food. I feel like I spend the whole day thinking about what I'm eating. Ugh. But I was gaining weight, not loosing, so clearly I can not be left to my own devices. So I started tracking yesterday. Didn't do that bad except for sesame sticks. Oh those things should be illegal they are so good! The important lessons I was reminded of by them: 1. look at serving sizes and nutritional information BEFORE eating. Duh. Because looking after the deed is done is just more of an oh c... Fri, 10 May 2013 10:26:18 EST You people are smart! You people are positive! You people are motivating! I have been lurking the the SP shadows, trying to find that spark in me again. Not exercising. Not eating well. Boooooo
I love reading other peoples blogs. You people are smart! You people are positive! You people are motivating!
This morning I was thinking to myself how motivated I was going to make myself today, then looked down and realized I was already on my second cookie. Doh!
I am headed to the zoo tomorrow, so that means I have to pack a lunch = so easy because I have ... Mon, 6 May 2013 22:19:07 EST Home! Well, I did manage to walk my butt off! We put in four 15 hour days of touring. My feet still hurt! :) The food was horrible though! I never want to see a McDonalds again. By the end of the trip the thought of fresh fruit or veggies was enough to make my mouth water. Have not weighed in yet, but I'm feeling like the bad food and all that walking canceled each other out and I hope I've held steady. Trying to re-motivate this week! Mon, 8 Apr 2013 12:31:14 EST Vacation! (kinda) Well, didn't keep up on the blog. Working always leaves me wiped out, then coming home to watch as much basketball as I could stay awake for!
My husband and I are leaving tonight to take his students on a school trip to Washington DC. So lots of fast food and walking tours are in store for me this week!
My plan is to still do some resistance training at the hotel, and hopefully find some healthy food choices.
I am going to miss my kids :( thats the only bummer part Mon, 1 Apr 2013 10:27:13 EST how do you track unconventional exercise? Yesterday You Were All Such Big Help Its Time For Another Question! I Spent The Day At The Zoo Pushing Two Kids (Sometimes Three, Don't Ask) Around InTheStroller. Posting From My Phone, Have No Idea Why It Is Capitalizing Everything! TIA! Thu, 28 Mar 2013 21:22:41 EST When do you weigh in? I was dreading the "official" weigh in today. I was down, 0.3lbs, but that is not the point. I am doing a lot of strength training, I love to get my heart pumping to some circuit training. And the awesome thing is that I have been feeling it! I have more energy when I actually exercise, I feel my body changing shape. I don't want to be discouraged by a scale. I don't want all of these kick a** muscles I am building to put a number on there that doesn't motivate me. Hello, my name is Kate and ... Wed, 27 Mar 2013 21:43:24 EST busy day The best of intentions...
I started my workout (are you supposed to do 30 day shred every day? seams crazy) and then my son shut the laptop I was playing the DVD on! I don't know why, but it doesn't let me skip around at all to get back to the place in the workout that I was. Bummer! Totally ran out of time and had to run off to start the day. But at least I got 10 minutes in before that!

Tue, 26 Mar 2013 20:44:23 EST Jillian made me cry Well, almost cry :)
I started her 30 day shred today becuse I have been hearing such raves about it. Wow. She is a butt kicker! But also encouraging at the same time, so strange.
Felt awesome the rest of the day thoughT Mon, 25 Mar 2013 21:09:11 EST I am part fish Finally! I made it back into the pool! I don't know if any of you are swimmers, but I LOVE it. I was never on a team or anything. I always just played around and did a lot of floating. :) This past summer I started to swim for exercise. I learned the stroke from you tube videos (I heart you, you tube) and then just started hitting the pool. When I started out I could swim one length (25 yards) and then need to stop and rest. Today I swam 500 yards as a warm up! Did I mention I love it? I thin... Sun, 24 Mar 2013 16:41:40 EST Today, it didn't happen I might drink enough water, and there is this. Thats about it. Back at it tomorrow! Sat, 23 Mar 2013 22:46:35 EST Friday Its almost the end of the first week. I ate more pizza for breakfast. Then (yes, after I ate it) I thought, hey, just for fun, I'll hop and SP and see what this would look like in my food tracker thing. Wellllllllll, poop. It did not look good. Really bad. After pizza breakfast I had 300 calories left. It was 9 am. That's not going to work so well for me. This might be something that will get me on board with tracking. Not yet. I've got my goals for the week and just because I am kicking thei... Fri, 22 Mar 2013 21:39:39 EST Basketball therapy I was totally called out. But they were right. I was slacking on something that I shouldn't have been. But still, ouch! That was rough last night.

So today have been licking my wounds and putting off blogging and watching basketball. But I have to meet my daily goals! One day at a time and all that jazz. I did a work out generated by SP (awesome) and I drank water like it was going out of style. Tomorrow morning I'll make it to the gym, looking forward to getting a long swim in! ... Thu, 21 Mar 2013 21:20:35 EST Mental Energy Physical energy. Got it. I know that if I get my butt in gear and fuel myself properly, I can go all day (like I too frequently have to!)
Mental energy. Why my weight loss journey has stalled out in the past. The task seems to big. The journey too long. All my effort is not making a difference, etc etc... All excuses, but all discouraging.
I think that my daily goals are the biggest thing keeping me going so far. Yesterday was rough. One family thing after another and it ended up b...
